I can see how you extrapolated that far but I disagree that solo-ness is the reason AE is being referred to an outlier in the context of this thread. Look at that, you and I are at another agree to disagree spot. Cheers 🙂

You keep incorrectly associating everyone who disagrees with you with some group or another and it makes you look reeeeeally ignorant af. PS You’re one of the only people here that seems “shook” by disagreement and difference of opinion. PPS And the downvote thread is obviously a joke thread in which everyone is having fun but nice try? Incessant misrepresentation seems like it would take a lot of mental energy.

This was pretty well explained to us but I was unaware of the true reasoning until then. Makes a lot more sense now. Maybe that post could be pinned or stickied or something.

Actually this one is a good point. I would be in favor of changing Time Manipulation to Time [Anything but "Affinity" 🤢].

HELL NO to the suggested names. Electrical Affinity could change back to Shock Therapy though, that would be good.

If you don’t have any “interest” in a currency’s primary use, it’s not a dev problem when the currency is rendered useless to you. I don’t use every form of currency in the game either. No big deal. As for concerns about incentives to run certain content, I don’t think proposing to bulldoze the game’s entire incentive structure yesterday makes today’s arguments look very sincere.

If having incentive structures is exercising force, then every game in existence forces you to play a certain way, rendering the entire idea of being forced to play a certain way rather meaningless. If all you mean by being forced/pushed towards things is that incentive structures are adjusting around you, then I have no qualms with the devs mind controlling you or whatever you want to call it. Because adjusting incentive structures is a core job of any half-decent MMO dev. -

I don’t believe you read my post. I asked what you are upset about if nothing is changing. I already understand that you think nothing will change; I’m asking why a non-change is your hill to die on? It’s a very strange stance to me and I sincerely don’t understand it. -

The whole “nothing is really changing so this change must be argued against day and night” argument isn’t very convincing. You are not acting like someone who thinks nothing is changing. You are acting like someone upset with impending change. And the “it doesn’t need to change anything, it’s bad just because it’s a waste of the dev’s limited time” counter doesn’t really work when the real dev work is already done. What exactly are you arguing with / what exactly are you upset about? I don’t get it. -

The reward merits were only added to trials to appease people that would want to convert their empyrean merits but couldn’t. So no, there would be no logical reason to roll back to Build 1 but keep the merits. The merits are a package deal with the merit change in Build 2-3. -

As already stated, we know from experience that it is possible to purple and boost 100+ 50’s to the teeth without ever converting a single Empyrean Merit, so it is obvious that removing that conversion won’t seriously affect new players. I agree the vet level change could arguably seen as unfair to new players though, even though I stand ready to farm Harvey Maylor’s mission if I have to. -
Just my two cents: as someone with over 100 level 50’s (so I create characters right?), I do not see any of the new beta changes as making my playstyle significantly harder. You should just give the new patch a chance; it’s all very mild stuff.
