I think you’re struggling with interpreting the text medium here. You keep accusing people of crying when they aren’t, and it’s just kind of awkward to watch.

They explained what the objective of the merit change was, and it had nothing to do with herding players out of AE. You were there and replying to that dev when the explanation was given iirc.

I will always find inappropriately apocalyptic language hilarious and childish no matter where I stand on an issue. I never liked the vet level change.

I don’t think the point of hard mode was to have the most optimal and efficient rewards. In fact that’s hardly ever the case in any game. Might have something to do with the word “hard” or the perhaps the word “challenge”.

The devs not implementing *your* feedback does not mean they did not listen to feedback and adjust the changes accordingly. I am very happy we were heard on the vet levels issue. Sometimes they’re stuck between a rock and a hard place. One of the two changes was necessary to prevent the ridiculous strategy of rerolling characters for front loaded emp merits from being an optimal way to play - as a dev explained to us.

It baffles me that people who have clearly stated over and over that they are not okay with doing anything but farming… are also stating over and over that they need the reward merit conversion to make money. Where the hell are your 24/7 farm rewards going? Since there is so much cognitive dissonance coming from some folks, at a certain point you have to assume they are confused or just lying trolls.

If 5s is still deemed a net nerf, happy to have devs just revert to offensive toggles just dropping like on live. I’ll live without another sizable buff - game is pretty easy.

Likewise, not appreciating the full impact of your time savings by not having to retoggle at all does not mean the impact isn’t there 🙂

I disagree that it is a nerf to anyone except for a tiny handful of players with extremely niche and rigid playstyles. It is not a nerf to me on any powerset combo imaginable. And as someone with well over 100 50’s, I’m not forgetting any 🙂

I would hardly call being forced to change tactics to “now I don’t have to monitor this annoying thing at all” anything but a big fat buff.

No, lol, that is not what a nerf is. That’s just the definition of.. idk.. a change? A change can be a buff or a nerf. This one is firmly within “obviously a net buff” IMHO.

Calling this a nerf is honestly hilarious. Revert the whole thing and let toggles drop again if you’re so intent on sinking a buff. I’ll take the generous buff but will be fine either way.

Considering I’ve never made this conversion, nothing will change. It’s pretty damn hard to run out of Incarnate-related uses for empyreans unless you’re one of those mystical unicorns that doesn’t like alts.

Saying things like “effectively +0” or “effectively -1” for difficulties like +2 or +3… is adding layers of confusion since I’m trying to ask if people are struggling at base difficulty or only at higher difficulties. It’s not yet clear to me that people are actually struggling at base difficulty because of that added confusion?

So you’re saying this content was difficult for veteran players when set to +0x1 no bosses? If so, yeah, that’s too much.

From how I was reading it, it sounds like he needs all his attacks to have the same range, even if that means a slight range nerf to his longest range stuff.

5s of suppression sounds way better than having to retoggle. A fine buff, thank you.

Did you try reducing your difficulty settings??? Like not just the no bosses part, but the level etc? I see a 54 in a picture?
