  1. I don’t *think* anyone specifically wants HO’s over D-Syncs but maybe. They will share the same pricing/etc on the market though. What I do want to say is that the new D-Sync combinations not found as HO’s will temporarily have the potential to get more expensive than Micros/Cytos simply due to squeezed supply. I mean the Slow/End/Rech, for instance, shouldn’t be that valuable, but clearly you people aren’t doing enough Aeons because the supply of 0 available is driving up bids 🙂
  2. Well I’m largely at fault for bidding 50-60m on the level 50 ones all year. Has nothing to do with using all 3 effects and everything to do with obsessing over the extra ~5.2% enhancement of a 53 over a +5 IO - same reason PvPers would want Micros. Sure, for most builds, you want the set bonuses. However I have a few characters where I really wanted to reach for endurance independence with a ton of toggles without Ageless. On those few characters, I will often use these for pool toggles and more. E.g. 2 in Tactics, 2+LotG in Maneuvers. I’m currently working on upping the insanity and trying to build out one of those toons with a ton of D-Syncs too. Because it looks cool, unique, and I can.
  3. Skipping a pet power on an MM is a pretty bad idea even if you remove the power from your tray. That’s critical pet aura proc slotting real estate that many of the primaries are very envious of. Funny that this power is already one of the best MM T7’s before you even try using it as more than a proc mule.
  4. The trivial ones where no AT is in need of any help, sure. No reason to buff anyone in those scenarios though.
  5. Holy cow that sounds almost like needing to use tactics. What a horrid and unacceptable thing to see in a video game. 🙂 Considering the presence of MM pets makes the user basically invincible, I don’t understand why a couple of seconds of pet downtime now and then is a bad thing.
  6. It already did. Cytoskeletons cost more on the market now.
  7. That would be an infinite amount of work tho
  8. *raises hand* I have a small number of characters specifically built around amplifiers. The #1 distinction that shows I have “built around them” is treating 40% defense as the new soft cap. For instance I have two Stalkers that do this. Scrap all the extra work you’d need to do for that extra 5% and convert it to more offensive power. Similar to building around Barrier Core, except your upkeep is every 8 hrs instead of every 2 minutes, so, approximately (1/240)th the chance for error and I can still get Ageless Radial 😉 But then ofc the other effects are nothing to sneeze at. +ToHit? Just became able to slot less accuracy and more procs. +Recharge? Let’s not pretend anyone actually thinks +Recharge isn’t impactful. +Mez Protection? See Bill.
  9. Illusion Control is currently in a similar boat as Fiery Aura (minus the involvement of actual bugs with the latter). That is, just about any buff would be totally inappropriate without a full set rebalance, because both sets just about get all the strength anyone should ever be allowed from one power. The idea that Illusion “needs” *anything* is laughable in the current meta. Just as the devs recently commented that they will tone down Burn but only when the rest of the set can get rebalanced to compensate.. well that’s the only way I can see Illusion buffs happening too.
  10. You can have a full shuriken attack chain with a /martial dom already and it’s plenty good as is.
  11. Not that I would want it implemented overall, but I think you’d at least have to trade Aim like DP has to.
  12. Congrats, you’ve managed to come up with a crafty disguise for a knockback thread 🙂
  13. I have yet to see substantial evidence refuting my personal position that streamers and youtubers are inherently disproportionately narcissistic.
  14. My personal pet peeve because it’s repeated so often here even though it obviously makes zero practical sense as a game design philosophy: “more options are always good”.
  15. My /Sonic Controller certainly feels like it does far more with its support set than my FF/ Defender. Gravity/Sonic, runs 4 ally toggles on a Singularity and teleports it into the middle of every mob. Love it. With this combo your Singularity does all of the following on its own: -res aura, damage aura, KD aura, absorb shield plus res shields, vacuum pull aura, FF proc, annihilation proc. Teleport target to drop all of the above anywhere. Poisonous Ray and Sonic Siphon compliments all that vs bosses.
  16. The best start to me seems to be adding a bunch of DDR to Force Field for starters. A rare and valuable buff that tends to come with defensive sets and a defensive buff set that struggles for relevance. A match made in heaven at first glance. Then we can talk about whether anything else should get DDR later.
  17. That’s not how any games work except for Garry’s Mod or whatever. A lot of us don’t want a pure sandbox game, so it would be a lot better to use the sandbox options you already have like Brainstorm or Cake.
  18. You already can skip to the endgame. It takes approx two hours. What a deal 🙂
  19. Normally I’d sarcastically say what a staggering sample size, but those 18 votes are definitely the entire PvP community population nowadays.
  20. Yeah it’s a no from me dawg

    Illu/?

Most Illusion controllers should be able to solo AV’s with ease. Certainly Cold, Traps, Rad, Storm, Dark, TA, Poison, Therm, Kin.. All of the above should do it no question.
