Sounds fast AF for no Assault and for being non-/Bio or non-/Rad. I guess -res procs firing at the broken proc rate in Irradiated Ground completely mitigate the latter part? My newish Kat/EnA is on the shortlist to test once its non-Lore Incarnates are done 🙂

The analyses in question seems to only highlight that Punch has T1 damage and Jab has even less and Hurl and Hand Clap are meh - the fact that Haymaker, Knockout Blow, and Foot Stomp are perfectly well balanced (and are just about all you ever really need) tends to get conveniently shoved under the rug. I have zero problems believing an SS could function just fine without Rage if absolutely necessary to sate RP concerns like those of the local vampyr. Of course you’re missing out IMO but oh well.

I typically pick Psy for anything that cares about the single target attack chain for Dominate with 1 Acc/Dam 5 Damage Procs. Yeah, large amounts of -regen appear to equate to high DPS.

Suggestions to improve fun factor or quality of life for some sets
arcane replied to Voltak's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
It could still fit 6 procs easily firing at 90% proc rates if they gave it the Total Focus treatment. Super fun power when it hits, but once cast times pass 3 seconds on damage powers, the corpse blasting potential deters you from using it in regular fights 😕 -

No that’s definitely not true -
Fire Melee’s issues are NOT comparable to Kinetic Melee’s level of badness.

Yeah “jerk”, “troll”, “idiot” - not helping me see your side. I raise my own bids sometimes because I need the purchases to go through. Sometimes someone else wants their purchases to go through just as badly and I get boxed out so I raise my bids again. Point is, put a few buy-it-nao guys like me in a room and I just don’t see how we can rule out the possibility that this is one big accident. My bids are still high because I still need the salvage. This doesn’t make me or anyone else an idiot or an abuser or a dick. Though other aspects of my personality may.

A thought on "fixing" FF... with an IO set

Honestly if they just added DDR to FF all over the place that might be enough for me. Good DDR is the shit. -
Obviously - thread is full of them
-
Huh? I never denied prices were moving and that people making high bids would contribute to that. Maybe if you can’t prove motivation you shouldn’t be accusing people of bad motivations like that?
-
The fact that people are willing to call each other dicks over someone paying a nickel for what’s worth a penny is where I take issue with this thread. You can earn said nickel faster than you can even type dick in this game.
-
People in this thread haven’t just alleged that the market has been moved by high bidders. They’ve alleged intent and malice. Still no sign of that.
-
“It wouldn’t be hard to get evidence” is, shockingly, not itself evidence 🙂
-
I would need evidence to go along with a “someone is doing this purposefully with the sole intent of raising prices” theory. No one has presented that so market forces are all we have to go off of. Though I’m starting to want to keep my bids high because of the obnoxious weeping and gnashing of teeth in this thread, so it’s plausible. The amount of finger pointing over 25k influence is absurd.
-
I bought like 8,000 converters a couple nights in an hour, and my bids on salvage or recipes are on 100-150 of any given item at a time. I see the prices swing as I’m mid-bidding-process all the time. It doesn’t take a scheme to move the market, just regular daily activity.

Suggestions to improve fun factor or quality of life for some sets

I definitely don’t share the “constant buffs = more fun = always good” vision because I know of no examples in which “meh, ignore balance and give everyone everything” has yielded an interesting game for me to play. That said, I don’t think anyone here is calling for nerfs. “Hey let’s buff things that actually need it” =/= “NO FUN ALLOWED NERF EVERYTHING”. Honestly I could probably get behind some slight tweaks to the Dark Miasma animation times though I hesitate because Darkness Affinity definitely needs zero buffing. Would rather buff nothing than buff Darkness Affinity. And yeah, think it’s obvious Radiation Emission is already top tier stuff. -
Sigh. I think we’re back in imaginary Rage RP problems level of logic. Cheers man.
-
Supply and demand dude, prices don’t change only because of nefarious manipulation. Please tell me you understand this high school economics concept.
-
Dunno why you have to be a noob to be wasteful and impatient
-
If people are slowly listing less salvage and deleting more of it (I delete all uncommon salvage that I don’t craft with and know I’m not the only one), then it’s completely reasonable that a few players would raise their bids simultaneously to bypass the supply crunch and get their stuff. You’re not usually supposed to assume malice when there is no evidence of it, no?
-
Evidence that prices are up is not evidence of manipulation. Correlation is not causation. Surely you already understand this.

I don’t think we need to get rid of long animation times except where sets are genuinely needing buffs. Dark Miasma (moreso Darkness Affinity perhaps) and Radiation Emission don’t really strike me as sets that need buffs. Bitter Freeze Ray is another example of a power that can’t really afford to get better due to the surrounding set’s potency. Multiple powers from Kinetic Melee, Shout, and Incandescent Strike are examples that come to mind where the animation reduction is actually needed to bring performance in line. -
How do we know someone is pulling a dick move? I for one raised my bids because they needed to be higher for my money machine to keep working on schedule. Pretty harmless and normal behavior. Do we know for sure that any actual dick moves have been made?

A thought on "fixing" FF... with an IO set
arcane replied to EmperorSteele's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Yeah I’m sorry the idea is kinda cool at a glance but it makes way more sense to just fix the powerset. I don’t know what you are including in an IO set “for defense shields”, but defense sets/powers don’t need buffs / can’t afford to be buffed without being broken right now whether they be from Cold Domination or Time Manipulation or melee armor sets. So you need an FF-specific solution. I played my FF defender couple nights ago. Not too shabby. Makes team feel safe then blasts with proc bombs like a sentinel. I’d take some set-specific buffs though.
