  1. No good reason to stop now til you’ve got winter sets tbh
  2. I’m just glad we’re all in agreement that Homecoming forum PvP is noticeably more manageable than ‘Nam.
  3. You haven’t been with us the entirety of the Diantane saga, obviously 🙂
  4. Now imagine how far along you’d be if this wasn’t the first time you’d ever read a reply!
  5. Actual answer: Sean Schemmel as Statesman and Chris Sabat as Lord Recluse, and nothing else matters 🙂
  6. Probably so. But none of this gets to the root of the issue with GM Widower’s recommendation: if Diantane is freely allowed to spew his own garbage, why are we being admonished for responding in kind? Idk what you know about humans, but we get awfully hung up on issues of fairness from authorities. You can say “don’t respond” all you want, but, on the forum I briefly mentioned above, that moderation strategy led to significant departures by core members, because it was made abundantly clear to us that the troll was not to be admonished as we were; this was just a rigged game for them to exploit indefinitely while respondents racked up bullshit warnings that were, for good reason, not particularly respected.
  7. (1) other people might actually take Dian’s wisdom to heart if it isn’t thoroughly trashed, and we have to team with those poor souls. (2) the “leave it be and go outside” argument will never work on a tru forum warrior 🙂
  8. Meh, if your policy is that the troll can do whatever he wants, I don’t care to walk on eggshells with my response either. Seems only fair. This “only retaliation is punished” style of moderation is something I’ve seen before, and it didn’t make anyone happy on that much bigger forum either. I ultimately left that place because the moderators did nothing to clean up toxic threads besides give infractions to irate respondents. Give me a forum ban if that’s a problem. Because I am not about to coddle this OP. I genuinely tried to help them dozens of times before we wound up here, and they gave us all the finger.
  9. FYI I am only doing overkill measures like this when I have no backup. These are characters with no conserve power or Ageless or whatever. I can testify that you will still run out of endurance in such a scenario against hard targets with net 2.5 end/s recovery. Will you notice it in general play? No. Will you notice it against high regen hard targets that take 2 minutes or more of constant clicks to kill? Yes. To reiterate, my impression of how much recovery is needed changed significantly when I began to try soloing hard targets that take several minutes. If you’re only tackling AV’s with a team, etc, you can stop reading here 🙂 Ofc if you have Ageless you barely need any net recovery at all to last forever. Maybe 1 end/s. If you want to rely on Ageless, which I often do (hi Storm, Dark Armor), that’s fine. But it changes the math dramatically. Also, last thing, the guy with 4 performance shifters woulda probably been fine with 2, but I went energy mastery because StJ already had so many great attacks in the S/T chain that I felt I could mix it up and pass on the snipe for a change.
  10. Ofc it is. Diantane: “this AT sucks and I knows it” Also Diantane: “well i never finish any AT cuz i just play the low levels and give up” To the next GM that comes through telling us to be polite and helpful, trying the same strategy hundreds of times with no evidence of success is insanity 😉 perhaps you should instead join us in suggesting the OP learn to integrate feedback.
  11. Logically explains why your posts continue to suggest you haven’t got the faintest idea about what any given AT or powerset is ultimately capable of, so actually kind of a useful thread in that regard. Thanks Diantane. Still gotta ding you with a Confused emoji because the way you pretend to have a clue what you’re talking about should be discouraged, but good job.
  12. You might as well turn away half the players at the door!
  13. If you would rather not slot the IO, then you prefer the KB. That's what that means. So I have to assume you secretly prefer the KB unless you slot the IO. It's all pretty simple. You don't get to say I hate the KB but won't slot the IO, that's a nonsensical position that leaves you with the worst overall power for your preferences.
  14. Well, this toon has 8 hours of amps right now, so not really an appropriate measure, but, with the amps, Seismic/Earth clocked in under 2:00. I imagine it would fall in line with some of my other blasters in the 2:00-2:30 range without them. Run 1 - 1:45 Run 2 - 1:53 Run 3 - 1:52 Chain is Entomb -> Tombstone -> Heavy Mallet -> Seismic Smash, playing with tossing Upthrust in there periodically for its multiple -res procs, but not sure how much those are helping at only a ~30% proc rate.
  15. What in the hell do you know about DPS, lol. Thanks for reminding me to go beat up some pylons on my Seismic/Earth though. Going to verify for myself how ill-informed some comments are.
  16. I have zero sympathy for anyone that acknowledges KB is their issue with a power but simultaneously refuses to slot a KB->KD. That’s ridiculous. The perfect solution is right in front of you but you’re going to let the power be worse for you because you have to stick to your principles about a supposed slot tax of some sort? Either convert it down to KD or don’t complain, those are your rational choices.
  17. Why are you answering an unserious post with a serious reply?
  18. Atlas and Mercy have a door straight to Pocket D now
  19. I know it’s tempting to remove all requirement of having to move or do anything ever. Maybe we should just skip straight to all players being plugged directly into the game with an apple sauce IV drip for sustenance.
  20. I will admit to personally being a recovery overkill player. Get Ageless with a lot, otherwise use other tools more heavily than average. Like my Stamina is usually slotted 2 Performance Shifters and 2 Power Transfers. Or I use HO’s to get better end redux on some toggles. I simply hate the thought of having to slow down to conserve end, ever. Nothing murders your DPS like bottomed out end. So yeah, I err in the other direction a bit. You talk about it being ok to eventually run out, but I never sit and wait after a fight, and also AV soloing fights can get pretty long. If you solo pylons, you having a toon that is good on endurance for 60 seconds instead of forever is going to be reflect poorly on your DPS.
