Calling Indomitable “the unofficial [thing like 10 people do] server” was probably not super helpful in the long run.

You’re still comparing things in a vacuum by not considering how the entire set and entire power pool are functioning together / performing. SoW needing a buff requires WP needing a buff, and it looks like many are skeptical on that front.
-
The majority of sets will be found wanting if compared to the positive extremes, but that’s not how balance works. You balance around the averages, not the extremes, otherwise you aren’t balancing, only creating power creep. You’ve made an error here if you’re genuinely equating “not Bio” or “not Shield” to “found wanting”. Same goes for anyone whose only critique of a blast set is its failure to compare to Fire Blast. I recommend playing all powersets so you get a better perspective on the whole bell curve. There are a lot of players on this forum that can’t seem to find 80-90% of powersets to be playable because they’ve so thoroughly screwed up their frame of reference by failing to seriously invest in characters that don’t have Fire Blast, Ice Blast, Claws, Energy Melee, Bio Armor, Shield Defense, Time Manipulation, Kinetics, etc.

Willpower has multiple layers of mitigation to all damage: very high regen to all, great S/L/P res and great F/C/E/N defense. And such great recovery and mitigation that you can comfortably skip everything else for Ageless Radial to even cover your DDR. I think we have yet to see an argument that it actually needs help as a whole set.
-
We keep saying it’s “weaker” to those other damage types without mentioning that it has easily soft capped defenses to said damage types. Not much of a meaningful balance discussion if you ignore all the context outside of resistances. That being said I don’t mind if they rebalance the power since, as it is, I don’t even have a reason to take it. Can’t recall my Willpowers doing any dying. But yes, you don’t just get to increase the resistances without a tradeoff, but you could probably trade the S/L resistances for more of the others.

Extreme endurance reduction and recovery investment before or after 50, or Incarnates after 50. Endurance problems are a relic of the live days.

Aim or Build-up (or the like) allow accuracy above 95%
arcane replied to Telamonster's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
You have yet to properly represent anything I’ve said and are still insinuating motives for some reason. But whatever, I’ll answer once more. Obviously everyone knows that players are at the hit chance cap far more often than enemies. Obviously. This is EXACTLY why this suggestion constitutes power creep. Because it only serves to benefit players, not their NPC opponents. My sarcastic compromise suggestion was aimed at imagining a scenario in which this was NOT a blanket player buff / NPC nerf. I do not, however, think that any of this, even my joke suggestion, is a good idea. It removes uncertainty and risk from a game that already has next to none. -
Aim or Build-up (or the like) allow accuracy above 95%
arcane replied to Telamonster's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Exactly why they would need massive buffs to access what players would access with ease. And they would need to access those heightened caps for this not to be a player buff. Or you could add a bunch of hit points I guess, but definitely more than 5% because you’re not only gaining DPS but also losing the risk of uncertainty. The latter needs to come with a serious tradeoff. The rest of your post appears to be very confused and full of psychological projections so not worth responding to. -
Hopefully once the new challenge settings are ported to ITF the enemies will have some confuses anyway.

Aim or Build-up (or the like) allow accuracy above 95%
arcane replied to Telamonster's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Simply trying to frame the idea in a way that isn’t net power creep. If you’re just proposing power creep, I can refer you back to the most recent “jranger”. If giving NPC’s a mechanism for achieving this new tohit ceiling as well would be “nerfing players into the ground”, then it was always a bad idea in the first place. My “compromise” wasn’t a serious idea, but it did a good job of clarifying everyone’s true intentions here 🙂 This was obviously never about realism, only power creep. -
Character Select Screen Information Improvement
arcane replied to zenijos10's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Simplify it to secondary powerset, influence, and veteran level for a start and incrementally look at more features later on if the first couple of things are successfully implemented well along with sorting mechanisms. Some of the highly detailed items proposed seem like way too much. -
What game are you playing. The Blaster AT had all potential for endurance problems removed years ago.

Aim or Build-up (or the like) allow accuracy above 95%
arcane replied to Telamonster's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Let’s try another compromise. Tentative yes to Aim/BU offering a mechanism for ToHit chance higher than 95% but lower than 100%. All enemies now have Aim and Build Up. That sounds just about fair. -
Sudden Acceleration: Knockback to Knockdown

Ya know what? Sure. I am on board with the OP’s proposed change under the condition that complaining about KB->KD procs and slot taxes becomes a banned behavior in the ToS. -

Debuff Resistance/Status Protection power pool?
arcane replied to Yomo Kimyata's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Searching the forum on my phone is a pain in the ass. Remind me later and I will consider your demands for some of my personal time. Until then, why don’t you think about (1) why would the devs both deny you global mez protection *AND* expect you to not to move a finger to mitigate mez in any other way? Does that make any sense? (2) Why are inspirations a part of the tutorial? (3) I can’t recall any clear-cut proof that enhancements are considered a part of the balance conversation - can you please spend your own free time on a frivolous fishing expedition to establish the obvious for me? You will not be reimbursed and I may have more demands after the fact. -

Then we’re not playing the same video game and therefore why discuss anything. -
Debuff Resistance/Status Protection power pool?
arcane replied to Yomo Kimyata's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
My comments are relevant to all content, but yes I IO my characters personally before playing them. If you don’t do that though, it isn’t a dealbreaker at all because SO’s can easily handle the lower difficulty settings you should be using if you have SO’s. If people expect to solo +4x8 with every character, sub-50, no IO’s, well, they’re once again stepping outside the bounds of the balance conversation. -
Debuff Resistance/Status Protection power pool?
arcane replied to Yomo Kimyata's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Pretty sure our past and present devs are irredeemably irrational by that logic. This is where we have few options left but for you to perhaps try another game. Inspirations being an integral part of the game and a resource you are expected to benefit from has kind of been a non-negotiable fact since 2004. -
Debuff Resistance/Status Protection power pool?
arcane replied to Yomo Kimyata's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Inspirations are an integral part of the game and are introduced in the tutorial. These are bad comparisons and I think you know better than that. I get irrational too about personally frustrating subjects, and I assume that’s what happened here. -
Debuff Resistance/Status Protection power pool?
arcane replied to Yomo Kimyata's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
They only run out if you aren’t paying attention at all over a long period of time. Not only do you have to have no Break Frees, but you have to run out of opportunities to combine inspirations. If you’re spamming Break Frees like an incompetent then you might run out. If you’re keeping them around but use them strategically, that shouldn’t be happening but once in a blue moon. You may not like the status quo but if you refuse to use inspirations, you have stepped away from the balance conversation. Only dishonesty I see here is low-balling the power of inspirations and good tactics while wildly exaggerating the threat of mez. -
Debuff Resistance/Status Protection power pool?
arcane replied to Yomo Kimyata's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
The fact that you’re not willing to consider integral parts of the game (inspirations) pretty much makes my case on its own. If you refuse to exist within the game’s status quo, what relevance do your points have. Obviously I am not insisting anything should be weaker or more annoying to play because we’re talking about my *favorite* AT’s there. -

I really don’t think very much at all is “a bit much” to tell someone that’s willing to frequently invoke language of discrimination and oppression and class conflict over a warped perception of a video game. If you want to make ludicrous posts, you earn that eye roll yourself. -

I mean if none of y’all are grateful for squishy-specific power creep like crashless nukes I guess we can take them away... 🙄 -
I always put 5-6 procs in Neutron Bomb. It’s good. Has a projectile time too so you can zoom in and simultaneously smack them with Irradiate in the same instance too.
