  1. Bolded the parts where they aren't the same. It's like claiming that Radiation Blast and Energy Blast are the same because they both use energy. They aren't. Look, I'm inclined to agree with @Psyonico that the OP isn't going to happen because Blasters already get those powers, so if you are arguing because you think I'm in favor of the OP, I'm not. However, those sets are not the same.
  2. I'm still inclined to say they don't. Because your linked Power Mastery states "You have Mastery over Power and Energy to defeat your foes", Force Mastery states "You have Mastery over Energy and Force to protect yourself and defeat your foes.", while Energy Mastery states "You have Mastery over your bodies Energy to increase your power and even hurl energy at your foes." So Power Mastery and Force Mastery read as force field sets to me while Energy Mastery and Body Mastery read as controlling your own body to me. Edit: So, yes, I agree that Power Mastery and Force Mastery are the same, while Energy Mastery and Body Mastery are the same. However, I disagree that all four are the same.
  3. https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Energy_Mastery_(Brute/Tanker) https://cod.uberguy.net/html/powerset.html?pset=epic.body_mastery&at=scrapper https://cod.uberguy.net/html/powerset.html?pset=epic.energy_mastery&at=tanker https://cod.uberguy.net/html/powerset.html?pset=epic.energy_mastery_brute&at=brute https://cod.uberguy.net/html/powerset.html?pset=epic.body_mastery_stalker&at=stalker No, they don't both get those two powers.
  4. Tide Pool: https://cod.uberguy.net/html/power.html?power=corruptor_buff.marine_affinity.tide_pool&at=corruptor Shifting Tides: https://cod.uberguy.net/html/power.html?power=corruptor_buff.marine_affinity.shifting_tides&at=corruptor Both are set to not notify enemies. So yes, they are meant to not be noticed by enemies.
  5. No, Force Mastery is a psuedo-Force Field set. Powers include Personal Force Field, Repulsion Field, Temp Invulnerability, Force Bomb and Force of Nature. Whereas Energy Mastery includes Conserve Power, Focused Accuracy, Laser Beam Eyes, Physical Perfection and Energy Torrent.
  6. So stacking Barriers counts as part of a build now? MM pets can't survive even with stacked Barriers? I admit I haven't done many Hard Mode/Advanced Mode TFs, but that is more from time constraints than anything else. The times I've done them though? While I haven't done any 4-stars, my Ninja/Dark's henchmen survive. It gets difficult in some fights, and in other fights I wind up re-summoning off and on, but I've never found my MM relegated to poor version of Defender though. And we didn't even have Barriers running. (Edit: Sometimes you just need to shift the pets over to passive and order them out of the fight for a little bit. Then send them back in after you've had a chance to heal them or get more debuffs layered on the opposition.)
  7. Are the posters being shouted down, or are they being given suggestions? Like @tidge said, no one is being shouted out. There are tips being given though. And MMs always were a complicated AT that required active monitoring and manipulation of their assets, so it isn't like anything being said about ways to deal with various situations are wrong.
  8. I do feel the need to point out that even if a Tanker or other characters gets the aggro before sending pets in, melee preferred pets can still be cut down by AoEs pretty easily depending on the enemy. Though I do very much agree with your post. If you managed to get your pets to 100% defense and 90% damage resist, then they should have very little difficulty avoiding hits and should be able to survive those hits they fail to avoid long enough for you to heal them if you have heals with ease. And if you are doing that without Force Field or Sonic Resonance, I would very much like to see your build so I can see if I can apply your approach to my own builds.
  9. Just for clarification purposes, all MM Henchman tier pets are lieutenants. The T1s, the T2s, and the T3 are all lieutenants. Though I do acknowledge that the specific tiers themselves are listed as Minion, Lieutenant, and Boss in things like City of Data.
  10. If you are talking about Hard Mode/Advanced Mode content, that was added specifically because content like that was asked for. And incarnate content isn't exactly normal game content, just like Hard Mode/Advanced Mode. The bulk of the game has gone unchanged for difficulty since the game was first launched, and when the game was launched, it was balanced around TOs at low levels, DOs at low to mid levels, and SOs for the rest.
  11. The only thing I have to say about Cursed Weapon is the same thing I had with Magic Blast. Cursed weapons are limiting in theme. Add in that a cursed weapon will impose negative effects on the wielder, and again my request is to use something less restrictive for players to use even if it possesses all the original intended animations. (Just don't make it actually cursed or the set will never see use outside of niche characters their creators want to suffer negative effects with.) The only thing I have to say about Packed Heat is to correct you about temp powers not really being able to be kept. That depends strictly on the temp powers in question. Though in this case, it would likely go away after so many charges just as you are saying. I have nothing to say about the epic pools themselves. More options for players are a good thing in my book, they just need further development to know more about what you as the author intend from them.
  12. To be fair, in those missions like with Lady Grey and the fortune teller, the contacts provide you with a means of saving the NPC should they be defeated. In the fortune teller's case, you are provided with an emergency medical transporter, so she gets hosp'ed if defeated. In Lady Grey's case, she already has her own, so if she is defeated, it is assumed that you still finish the mission but the rogues get a PR win. The main purpose of drawing out their leadership still works, and the time it would take to find another super to take your place and deal with the rogues is time for the rogues to finish implementing their plans and go back into hiding after doing far more harm than just dropping Lady Grey. I'm not arguing against your suggestion in so far as future content goes, I'm just saying that for those times currently where you can continue, the game does already provide an explanation in the mission briefings. However, most such failable missions I can think of are stand alone missions like the fortune teller, so any major consequences don't apply to any overarching arcs. And in those cases, you are still a super willing to help that contact, so until someone else comes along and proves to be more capable than you, if that contact wants to get things done, (s)he/they/it are pretty much stuck with you. (Also, there will be a lot of upset players if they fail a failable mission through no fault of their own like Lady Grey being too close to a Warhulk and find themselves no longer able to do content from that contact and losing out on the story arc and its badge(s) and reward merits.)
  13. I was only thinking of Human Form vs. Nova From. Thanks for checking.
  14. Are those different animations for the same power or the same animation across the forms? I'm inclined to think different animations. So for beasts, since we only have human form models to work with as players, new animations would need to be made, Beast Mastery would be left out, or animal form models for the beasts would need to be added specifically for that set. (Edit: Or beasts would just use the various other animal models already in the game with some extras made for more variety?)
  15. Beasts would have the problem that we can't make animal characters using the AE editor and the animals use different animations than our human(oid) character models. (Edit: And the Assault Bot would probably need to be limited to a Huge model.)
  16. This should be on the Report Zone Geometries Errors Here thread on the Bug Reports forum.
  17. I find it is helpful to have a targeting macro to find the PPD. Such as "/macro PPD /target_custom_next Rogue". Then I just spam the macro as I search all the burning halls and rooms. And yes, if you were not checking the burning floors, you will never find them. (Edit: It also helps to have a team mate go looking for them, but it isn't necessary. Just makes it easier.) (Edit: And after you defeat Mr. Y (I think?), you have two tasks. Find Harken (who should have been with Mr. Y) and get him out of the building before it explodes, and find the injured Rogue PPD and save them.)
  18. Like I said, I can cope with the spider based robots and humanoids. It took a while to adjust to the Arachnoids, but they are sufficiently not spider that I can deal with them in the game. (Edit: Though yes, the first few weeks of seeing Arachnoids was very difficult despite their more human than spider appearances.)
  19. Sorcery and Experimentation are Origin Pools. And we are supposed to eventually be getting Origin Pools for the remaining three origins. Edit: Also, thanks for making those changes.
  20. If the devs implement pet customization that requires we give up character costume slots given that they have already stated they will not use the method the other server uses and were at least looking at the possibility of customization, then the best approach is to just accept that (hopefully) they exhausted other options first.
  21. I can't speak for the other server. I only play on Homecoming. However, the YouTube video I last saw about it required the player to select the pet and then choose to customize it from the popup menu. So I'm pretty sure it does not normally take up character costume slots unless you choose to sacrifice one to customize the selected pet. So to the best of my knowledge, no, it would not affect any ATs that lacked pets. If other means of implementation are explored and found to not be valid, that the only way to customize pets is by giving up our characters' own costume slots, then no, I will not stand in the way. I will lament not being able to make use of it without sacrificing my established characters predetermined appearances, but I will not stand in the way of others getting to make use of it. However, I will stand in the way until such time as other possibilities of implementation are explored and determined to not be possible simply because I know I am not the only player that has a wide assortment of appearances that get used for various situations and so would have to contend with losing those aspects of our characters in order to enjoy the same thing. Edit: If I am still being clear as mud, let me know and I will try to rephrase.
  22. It would have been more helpful if you had used the /whereami command to find out what map you were on in case it is something with that specific map.
  23. We can't get custom pets now. And as far as being able to under the other server's mechanic? That's the point. I feel it is unfair that players that have multiple looks for their characters are being unfairly cut out from getting customizable pets simply for having multiple looks our characters use depending on time of year, content currently being played, and other situational factors. For us to get those pet customizations, we have to give up upwards of 6 of our costume slots to get what other players are getting to enjoy without constraint because they don't make as many looks for their characters.
