Which is broken: Power Monitor or Evolving Armor?
Major_Decoy replied to Erratic1's topic in General Discussion
For any power that scales with number of enemies in range Mids defaults to one enemy in range. -
Yeah, it doesn't do that with the arcs, you don't get repeats of those, but there are "Common missions" that the game doesn't check to see if you've done them already, so if you've got multiple contacts that give you family mission, you might have to prevent Frankie from sleeping with the fishes a couple of times.

If you're running cloak of fear, I'd go vigor over cardiac. The +health is great and cloak of fear's starting accuracy needs as much help as it can get. As for Dark Regeneration, the Theft of Essence +endurance proc fits in there quite nicely. I think I've got mine slotted with +5 boosted Fury of the Gladiator: Acc/Dam, Acc/End/Rech, and Acc/Dam/End/Rech and +5 boosted Panacea Heal/Rech, Heal/End/Rech

I'd throw Private Security Guards in the Mercs, maybe RIP too. -
Wish list: +/– RES by character type
Major_Decoy replied to MHertz's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I was trying to figure this out from the title. There's archeytpe, there's origin, by what is character type? Obviously: Roleplay, Farmer, PVP, Casual, and Hardcore. Roleplay would clearly get high resists whenever they had a roleplay reason for it, and similarly huge weaknesses. They lose the bonuses whenever they're out of character for too long. I have no idea what bonuses the other types would get. While I'm not entirely opposed to temporary powers to give you specific resists, I also feel like "Well, that's the point of having power sets. You pick power sets relevant to the character you're trying to play." -
Custom Weapons for Night Widows and Fortunatas

Swipe is the same as Barb Swipe, This is claws and spines Strike is the same as Strike, just claws Follow up and Follow up, just claws Lunge is not the same as Lunge, surprisingly. It animates in about half the time and does more damage. There is no claws equivalent. Slash is Slash, just claws Eviscerate is Eviscerate, and uses the same animation as Ripper. But Ripper animates faster? I don't know. It's the same animation. Dart Burst is the same animation as Thorn Barrage, but they are not similar otherwise. But I was wrong. Widow claws is much closer to claws than I had thought. I mean, Widow claws do debuff recharge and move speed and do toxic damage the way spines do (but much better, 40% instead of 8% and 16% respectively) but I have to admit that the analogues of widow claws to claws are much closer than I had thought. -
"Damned Cat's been looking pretty smugly satisfied. What could make a great hero feel that way?" "Damned Cat's had a yellow feather stuck between her teeth for the last three weeks. Why hasn't someone told her?" No, neither of those really fit either. Great heroes have all sorts of reasons to feel smug.

When are you unveiling the Holiday and the clickable presents?
Major_Decoy replied to Zappalina's topic in General Discussion
Sounds like it's time fill your house with traps. Edit: Alternatively: What's in the box? What's in the box? -
Which is not to say that I want a "get so angry I stop holding back" power. I mean, that sort of power is better suited as something you get as part of a story arc, like to fight Leon at the end of Laura Lockhart's arc. Thematically I don't think there should be a "I press this button to get so mad I stop controlling myself" button. That's the kind of thing that makes you an NPC.

Major_Decoy replied to Zappalina's topic in General Discussion
Okay, so it looks like this so called "Christmas" falls on the first of Tivet this year, so we really don't need to talk about it until Tivet. Maybe the last week of Kislev, if Janice isn't getting too much attention. -
There are at least two things that speak to the game developers having played D&D. The d20 hit chance, where a 20 always hits and a 1 always misses and Rage. Super Strength rage has more influence from Barbarian Rage than from Super Hero comics. Not to say that there aren't examples of Superheroes raging in comics, it's just that, traditionally, that's the Super-hero ceasing to hold back, being too angry to pull their punches.

I still like the idea of giving the Venomous Gas toggle a proc, so you could have a chance of debuffing enemies at range. Just make sure that it's classified as the same debuff so it won't stack with itself.

Hail of Bullets makes me feel like Yosemite Sam. If it makes you feel better, you can imagine that your gun has two triggers, one that you pull randomly when flailing about to obscure your actual shots, which are more carefully aimed.

Custom Weapons for Night Widows and Fortunatas
Major_Decoy replied to Sleven's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
That's a fairly recent development. Page 3 or 4, I think. Yeah, page 4 opened up a whole lot of options for Soldiers of Arachnos in terms of Gun and Mace selection. -
I generally feel pretty similarly. But I rolled up a Traps/Beam defender and was just not having a good time of it. And I looked into, and it seemed like Poison Trap had the same -regeneration modifiers for Corruptors and Defenders and the Beam attacks also had the same -regeneration values, so I didn't see any reason not to make the switch.

Right, because you only get the one arachnos costume per character anyway. Do you really want your peacock spider to have the same costume as your funnel spider?
