Replace Ms. Liberty as the Atlas Park trainer.
Major_Decoy replied to Star Light's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Back Alley Brawler is already a trainer in Atlas Park. -
The time stream in City of Heroes is incomprehensible. Time Travelers have meddled too much and now there are at least three Penelope Yins in Paragon, two to three Mses Liberty, a ghost War Witch and a living War Witch (which is not to count the maybe alternate dimension War Witch). No one knows who is responsible for great deeds, with hundreds of people having saved the dam in faultline and defeated Vahzilok, some of them more than once. Time means nothing, but the city is more or less stable. It seems to always be facing utter destruction but constantly saved. And then it happens again. You are sent back to try to figure out what happened, to witness the events so that your mentor has another set of eyes to know how things went down. You can select someone as your mentors: Mender Silos gets you Rogue alignment, Dream Doctor gets you vigilante, Aeon gets you Villain, and Laura Lockheart gets you hero.

I think the difficult part would be the AI. Choosing the Specific powers could be done randomly. It's entirely arbitrary, it could take time if you wanted it too, but doesn't need to. But current pet AI breaks if you allow pet to be affected by recharge. It cannot develop an attach chain. Who gets the power pool powers you take? How will the AI react to new power pool powers? Is it going to stand around just toggling Tough on and off? The previous suggestions I've seen for duos all approach this from an angle of "one of the two is a pet" and are all much more workable since the technology for pets is already in game, there'd be no need to create all new UI for it.

On Rebirth the "Guardian" archetype is Assault Primary, Amour/Support secondary. It's kind of an interesting archetype, it manages to be not what people asked for when they said they wanted melee defenders but have some interesting options. (there are a number of things I prefer about homecoming, but you're not required to play only on one server) I think the inherent power they gave guardians isn't particularly great, but I'm not sure what I'd recommend in its place. Similarly, the ATOs they designed for it are kind of lackluster. We kind of have the same issue with Sentinel here.

There is a game to be made in which origins matter. It is not this one. All of these paradigms are already available in the game, they're just things you have to write in the biography section of your character ID. I don't see any reason to spend time developing a brand new system to limit access to new customization options.

Wait... City of Heroes is back? When did this happen? Tell me everything!
-
I idly considered just typing /43256-dont-click-on-this-post/ into the browser bar after topic, but I decided it wasn't worth the effort to type all that out, so I just didn't go in.
-
If people can't intuit "don't click on things you don't want to read" I'm not sure what good a guide will be.
-
I don't see what makes this an Ancillary Power Pool rather than just giving Kheldians more options for their existing power sets.
-
That's because they changed the way the code worked *JUST* for hamidon enhancements. Defense Debuffs are Schedule A and Defense buffs are schedule B, but they're essentially the exact same enhancements, so people were able to get much better enhancement bonuses in defense powers by slotting Enzymes. So they developed code for hamidon enhancements so that it would only provide the enhancement bonuses that the power could be slotted for.
-
So, as I recall, link minds does not take recharge enhancements, so Hamidon recharge enhancements and the alpha slot will not improve its recharge, but Link Minds will get the recharge reduction enhancement bonuses from invention sets it can slot. So Luck of the Gambler: Defense/Recharge and Adjusted Targeting: Recharge should both work to reduce the recharge on Link Minds.

What's the confusion? About one times in ten, through absolutely no fault of your own, you're going to end up with form 8937c stapled to your inner thigh. There's no shame in it, it happens to everyone. This is not a problem that can be eliminated, but if we're all careful, we can make it much less common.
-
I am only talking about form 8937c. It should never consist of more than five pages, 75gsm to 90gsm, and 80 to 98 bright. If you've printed the form out on heavier paper, we're not accepting it. If you've got more than five pages, we're not accepting it. We are not having this argument again Clave. You are not allowed to unilaterally declare a schism and say you're a Northwestern Richter Annex Worker, the employee handbook still applies to you and NO ONE recognizes your edition.
-
But most accidents happen at home! Never go home.
-
1) You have a desk, put the form on your desk before stapling it. 2) For the love of cheese, stop using a pneumatic stapler to do it! No, the hammer tacker is not a significantly better option. You should never need anything more than a heavy duty stapler, but most of the time, a mini-staple will suffice. 3) Do not use a paper clincher. It's tempting use a method that doesn't involve staples at all, but this would be a violation of company policy. 4) Check to make sure your work surface is clean and entirely clear of your legs. If you are sitting on your desk, find a chair or make sure to be standing before trying to staple anything. Thank you for your time and I hope to see a lot fewer blood stains on form 8937c.

I agree that I'd like to keep Phalanx Fighting if possible (losing the defense works for Stalkers because hide is better), but it'd be nice if the range was more than eight feet.
-
Alternatively, they might take the Stalker set (which loses Phalanx fighting) put [Durability] in place of Hide, and turn Shield Charge into Shield Press, which you use to knock enemies out of melee range.
-
Yeah. I think Shield Charge would probably be replaced with an Endurance power like Durability. It'd be cool.
-
What the hell are you doing rescuing any heroes? Any vampire worth his salt should be deceived into getting bound away forever with a demon in the power system of Cap Au Diable.
-
Can Peacebringers do the Tutorial now?
-
Okay, I managed to read that as Quad-Epee and was thinking that this would be another thread asking for Dual Bow sets and Dual Dual Blade sets. Which... Sure. I want Two-Thousand Cuts.
-
They are, but the way it was done with shield defense for tankers was "If you take Shield Defense you can't take Nimble Slash" So when they opened up Power Slice at level 1, there was a period on test when you could make a Shield Defense/Dual Blades character. You could only ever take one of the first two tanker powers, so you either miss out on Ranged and AoE defense or Melee Defense and Smashing/Lethal resistance, but it was possible to create them and see what the animations were like. Blinding Feint looks a bit like a left handed Soul Drain, you kind of bring your shield arm in and then get a build-up flash. If I knew how to screen record, I'd try to get a video sample of the animations.

Did Paragon City Ban any cars made after 2013 or so?
Major_Decoy replied to Zep's topic in General Discussion
It's not that, it's just that the Sky Raiders and Freakshow steal any car with electronics more advanced than a radio. That's also why none of the cars in Paragon have air conditioning (every freakshow tank has built-in HVAC)
