  1. Yeah, it'd hurt the flavour of the zone a little, but that'd probably be the easiest fix. I'd change them from geysers then, make them mystery holes. You jump in and pop out somewhere else.
  2. Honestly, I think the thing that would have the best chances of making the shadow shard fun is if the Geysers could actually work like they're supposed to so you could actually navigate a path with them. Even on live it was "Oh, they work if turn off sprint and your travel powers" but swift and hurdle seem to mess with things too. I understand the difficulty in the prospect of it, but flight and teleport don't actually get you to experience the Shadow Shard the way Super Jump and Super Speed do. You're interacting less with the environment. (Alternatively, maybe there's a way to just double all flight speeds and teleportation distances while in the Shadow Shard? Even the jet packs and rocket board stuff)
  3. There's no debt in any of the raids. You'll notice that you get a special "100% debt resistance" power when in a raid activated zone.
  4. I think it's been specifically stated that it's something they couldn't figure out how to do.
  5. Okay, sometimes you can fly up into a wall or the ceiling and the map disappears and you only see the Mobs and the mission objectives. It'd be interesting if there as a way to do that intentionally.
  6. Long Jack has a short mission arc culminating defeating Maestro. After you finish it, he introduces you to Tobias Hanson. As long as you finish it before level 25. If you hit level 25 in the process of finishing the arc, he has nothing more to say to you and will not introduce you to Tobias Hanson unless you go through the arc again in Ouroboros. Tobias Hanson is not available in the Search for Contact list unless you're introduced to him by Long Jack. Please change long jack so he'll introduce you to Tobias as long you have his souvenir.
  7. Provoke used to be "mandatory" for tanks. At launch Taunt was single target so if you wanted to get everyone's attention, you grabbed provoke, because it was AoE. There was a big movement that a power pool pick shouldn't be required to do your job and that a secondary power shouldn't be weaker than a pool power. So Taunt was changed to an AoE and Provoke was changed to require a to-hit roll in PVE. Since then a lot of changes have been made to the game and Taunt in particular. Taunt now has a range debuff. I think it'd be within reason to change Provoke to be identical to Taunt except without the range debuff.
  8. The approach isn't entirely uniform. Like Venomous Gas does not suppress but Reaction Time does. Dynamo does but World of Confusion does not.
  9. Stealth does suppress some taunt auras (and some non-taunt auras). Entropic Aura, for example, suppresses under stealth. It's the Target requires : (source>kStealthRadius < 36)
  10. Yeah, for stuff like the towers at the end of Time's Arrow or the Hamidon Buds in the middle of Lady Grey's Task Force, you sometimes have a reason for sticking around a little after the mission ends.
  11. They've already stated that they are acting without intellectual honesty and ignoring any definition of pie that does not match their own.
  12. Awesome, I get to ignore you from now on.
  13. Pastry lid is also common nomenclature for a top crust.
  14. I see absolutely no reason why I should accept your definition of pie when I don't see anyone else requiring a lid. You just seem to think you're right and decide not to research at all.
  15. Yes, but the level 10 enhancement bonuses aren't really exciting and set bonuses at level 7... well, you've only got 6 additional slots. But Steadfast Resistance and Gladiator's Armour's +3 Defense and Panacea: chance for +health and +endurance are all nice benefits at any level. Regenerative Tissue's +25% health regeneration can be slotted at level 10 too, but Miracle, Performance Shifter, and Preventative Medicine aren't available until level 17, and Numina's Convalescence is 27. And the "Doesn't matter what level you exemplar to" feature of PVP sets is much more exciting with level 50 enhancements than it is with level 10 enhancements.
  16. 22/7 - 3.1416 = 0.001257 3.1416 - 3.14 = 0.0016 The closer number should have the smaller difference, right? (This one is honestly baffling to me, because you're not the first person I've heard say that 3.14 is better than 22/7, and every time I check, 22/7 is closer.) A pie may not be a tart, but a tart is clearly a pie. So if tart is a subset, it's fully contained within the superset.
  17. Oh, yeah. You can slot Steadfast resistance, Gladiator's Armour, and Panacea all at level 7. Then the archetype enhancements at 10.
  18. Pumpkin Pie, Sweet Potato Pie, Lemon Cream Pie, Banana Cream Pie, Chocolate pie, Cheese pie do not have lids. They're all custard based pies (straight up custard pie also doesn't have a lid). Apple pie pretty regularly can have a streusel topping in lieu of a lid too. You also find a lot of peach pies without lids. Strawberry pies too. Honestly, I think lidded strawberry pies are rarer than the lidless type. Stuffed Pizzas like Chicago Deep Dish have lids.
  19. Well, with full builds, sometimes you'll notice something that you hadn't noticed with leveling builds. I had a Time/ Beam Rifle defender. Fun to play, but I got to level 50 and full incarnate unlocks before I decided I hated the way I was constantly drawing and putting away my beam rifle. Mechanically it didn't make a difference, but aesthetically I did not care for it. I re-rolled as Time/Ice.
  20. Yeah, I've always assumed that the "full character respecs aren't allowed" was more of a "we can't figure out how to make it work" than a "it wouldn't be balanced"
  21. That's fair. A power pool would make more sense. (though a Battle Axe character who lost her axe would have a reason to no longer use an axe) Yeah, more power pools offer more story opportunities than a fresh start.
  22. You can hit all the missions, yes, but you can't change power sets. It's like you neglected to read part of my post. If my character decides to grab a new weapon or some new armour, all of the contacts forget who I am. It's a tiny thing that I've worked around on different characters, but I could see the value of ability to "learn new powers from the ground up." It has viability to improve the story of a character. If it wasn't too much effort to do, it would mean having to do less "I am choosing to ignore this part of the game to have what my character is doing make more sense"
  23. If it were possible to entire respec a character (it might not be possible) I would not be entirely opposed to being able to reset that character to level 1, allowing a person to change power sets, but keep all the badges and souvenirs and progress with contacts. It would allow you to roleplay "Oh, well, I was Super Strength/Invulnerability until I got to Croatoa and I got a Magical Iron Sword, so I started training with that" without having all the contacts you'd already worked with on that character forget you've done those missions. I think it'd be a more satisfying way to go through all the content in the game than level-locking. You could go from 1-20 four times to hit all the Praetoria content, come over blue side, hit 50, go redside, run through the content and just keep switching sides and resetting as necessary.
  24. Which staff Mastery Form were you using? I noticed that when I leveled up a brute to test it, that the staff power icons weren't automatically added to my tray. But with a Staff/Willpower brute on test, I was able to build combo power in all three forms.
