It's nice, Socrates, but that's a hypothetical dialogue, not a rant.
-
This is a question. A one sentence question. I don't think you know what a rant is. I came in here expecting at least three paragraphs, but you just ask a simple question that's been answered dozens of times in the Market and Guides forums. It's almost like ranting is a lost art; gone to the americans. Express an opinion. Tell us how much you hate that big sea gulls get all the food. Complain about soggy french fries and how they'd be better if people double fried them to be extra-crispy. Go on a tirade about how there's a co-operative task force to protect Wentworths, but there really needs to be a Strike Force to rob it. Something. You have shamed the word rant. I turn my back to you.

There are a couple missions in Neutropolis that I remember getting different mission objectives from calling in, on both sides. And when you're talking to Merchand on the Crusader arc, I recall him giving you a different option that's less murderous.
-
I have a different approach for every character. Most recently I've got a loyalist start who stopped doing the Responsibility arcs when asked to murder someone and is now doing the Warden arcs. I'll see where that leads, but I usually feel pretty good about most of the warden arcs. Then I've got a Resistance start Crusader who is going to find new people to associate with as soon as she's asked to turn seers into bombs. Working as a loyalist is out of the question, so it's probably going to be radio missions up until 20.

Suggest a good Gold-side solo character

The third one is either "help the cops" or "help the ghouls" -
29 for Summer Blockbuster Double Feature, I'm not sure about Drowning in Blood. Give me a minute. 20 for Drowning in Blood.

Suppressive Fire bugged/stat issue
Major_Decoy replied to WindDemon21's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
The recharge time on standard shouldn't have changed so it should have the same proc rate. -
Single Origin enhancements also suffer from enhancement scaling when exemplaring or doing Ouroboros missions. https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Exemplar_Effects_on_Enhancements Honestly, you should see better results from exemplaring with Invention sets because the multi-aspect enhancements have somewhat smaller bonuses and are less likely to be reduced by exemplaring. Also, you shouldn't need to "keep up" with invention sets level wise. Any level 25 or better enhancement will be almost as good as an even-level Single Origin enhancement and will provide that enhancement bonus all the way to 50. Unlike Single Origin Enhancements, you can just slot them and forget about them. I have a couple of sets of attuned Invention Enhancements that I just trade between characters as I level them and create new ones. Attuned Invention Set Enhancements shouldn't be any harder to attain than normal ones. The Auction house pools all enhancements, and if someone crafts a level 30 Crushing Impact: Acc/Dam, you can buy it as a crafted level 30, a crafted level 50, or an attuned enhancement, all for the same cost.

Make enhanc converters less random.
Major_Decoy replied to captainstar's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
You shouldn't be trying to get "the right IO" with enhancement converters, that's not really how enhancement converters are intended to be used. They're great if you've got a bunch of uncommon IOs that you can't sell for the amount it cost to craft them, but if you want a specific IO and it's not for sale, you're usually better off using the merits to buy the enhancement or recipe. -
It gives you about 35% DDR without any slotting, which is pretty nice. The -100% endurance after three minutes, less so. It might be more useful after I pick-up portal jockey and the atlas medallion.

Expand the level range of Hollows' Contacts/Arcs
Major_Decoy replied to Sakura Tenshi's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I haven't tried Thunderspy, but I'm not entirely sure I like that idea. It kind of depends on how they approach it. If it's a "you get exemplared down to the level of the mission" that seems fine, but if it's a "The enemies get leveled up to match yours" I don't really feel like level 50 outcasts or non-incarnate fueled Trolls are entirely appropriate for game lore. -
For my Air Elemental, I went Dark Armour/Kinetic Melee. I had to drop Cloak of Fear and Oppressive Gloom for Whirlwind, but it's a lot of fun.

It shows up in the attack sets. https://cod.uberguy.net/html/power.html?power=tanker_melee.claws.swipe&at=tanker You see the last entry on that "19.7 points of fire damage" with the yellow flag? That's fiery embrace.

From my experience with Chance for Absorption in Poison trap, it seems to go off every time I cast it, but I haven't noticed if it procs during the psuedo pet duration. From my experience with Chance for Knockdown in Tashibishi, it goes of about every 10 seconds after casting.

Sentinel Pistol Suppressive Fire damage nerfed

You can also see quite clearly that it defines what "No change from live is" because blaster Suppressive Fire was very different from Sentinel Suppressive Fire. -
Sentinel Pistol Suppressive Fire damage nerfed
Major_Decoy replied to Starhammer's topic in Bug Reports
Because it's not a bug, it was an intentional change. -
It's like how Defense and Defense debuff enhancements are the same, but one is schedule A and the other is schedule B, so you could enhance defense powers with 33% bonuses instead of 20%. And if you look at the Hamidon Enhancements with Damage buffs: Dam/Range, Acc/Dam, it really feels like they were trying to avoid having any powers that could slot both damage and damage resist. To this day, I don't believe there are any powers that take both damage and damage resistance. Whereas I'd be really interested in seeing how heal works, because you can slot something for both damage and heal, and increase one of the two without increasing the other, so it's a damage type that's flagged to ignore damage enhancement. It can be resisted so it's not just untyped damage...
-
No, because healing uses different enhancements. Resist Damage and Damage use the same enhancements.

FIGHTINF POOL SYNERGY! (And other dumb pool ideas)

How powerful Hair Trigger is depends more upon the activation times of the powers than the recharge times of the powers. -
Exemplar effects on Superior Winter sets
Major_Decoy replied to Snarky's topic in General Discussion
Yeah, I've got 10% slow resist from Avalanche and 15% from Superior Blistering Cold. I have +5.25% Gargantuan Lethal, Smashing and Mez Resistance from Gauntleted Fist and +6% Ultimate Lethal, Smashing and Mez Resistance from Might of the Tanker. -

Okay, exemplared to level 1, and I still seem to be getting the standard set bonus? -
Exemplar effects on Superior Winter sets
Major_Decoy replied to Snarky's topic in General Discussion
Well, checking it, both Superior and Standard are providing set bonuses at level 7. I have Superior Might of the Tanker, and Standard Gauntleted Fist, Superior Blistering Cold and Standard Avalanche. All four sets are currently showing bonuses, despite not being able to slot the standards yet. I was not expecting that. I do expect the Superiors to provide bonuses when exemplared to 1.
