  1. AHEM. I might be a shadow, but that doesn't mean..... You know what. Never. Mind. I'm going to go find the fuzzballs.
  2. All in the same seat as Mercedes Sheldon. Girls' night out!
  3. And people are trying to RP. Correct. That's the reason why they were moved.
  4. Up by the railing. She's still there on other servers.
  5. The i24(+) servers behave like this in a way, where you can claim stuff en masse but it sort of trickles in one at a time rather than all at once. It always screws me up too cause I'm so used to Homecoming. 😆
  6. This was the actual, literal reason why War Witch was moved in the first place. Not to mention the Cat Capes (both times).
  7. To be frank your question seemed odd. Obviously my intent was to point out that EA didn't hold a particular advantage on Brutes over Scraps because it didn't play to Brute strength, not that the set wasn't good on Brutes. Like so. 👆 Not over EA, but Scrappers: Willpower Regen Fire Dark Elec Anything that allows a Brute to take advantage of their higher HP and/or Resist caps, and/or allows Fury to piggyback on a damage aura. EA is a great set, but seems stronger on Scrappers due to it primarily focusing on Defense for protection, as well as providing a Taunt Aura, which is superfluous for a Brute.
  8. Not from where I stand. By the same rationale it provides Scrappers more chances to crit.
  9. I'm fairly certain a Scrapper will do better in Single Target than a Brute. There are probably outliers to this, but it's a fairly safe axiom to follow. This isn't very Single Targety. They do. It's fine, it doesn't lean to any of a Brute's strengths, though.
  10. You wanna really juice up Regen, break the game, and make it feel even more thematically like the "Wolverine" set? Add to Fast Healing a passive Victory Rush-like function that automatically restores a chunk of health based on the defeated mob value. Perks: 1) Doesn't take away from what Regen players love about the set 2) Restores what the set 'lost' from the early days, where it was the low downtime option. 3) Available early, providing core identity to the set while boosting a power of debatable utility. 4) Doesn't lower DPS output with new clicks, but stays differentiated from Willpower. 5) Encourages violent play. Drawbacks: 1) None, this is my own suggestion so it's perfect. Nuff said. 😤
  11. The trick is to not think of blasters as Ranged DPS but rather the DPS. If you're still working into your comfort zone and not ready to play Banzai Blaster, then wait for your point to dive the pile, soak the Alpha, run in and throw a few punches in between your ranged attacks. Melee attacks usually do more damage than their ranged counterparts at the same power teir. And Blasters are no different. As for Reaction Time, it's a sustain that also provides some control, keeping enemies that might run away from you close enough to punch for maybe a second more. I guess theoretically the Recharge Slow on it helps reduce incoming damage but I'm skeptical of that. The control aspect is definitely less impactful than the sustain. Fire/Devices feels natural to play because besides both being good sets, /Devices leans into allowing for pure ranged builds. However a Fire/Fire is going to be more effective in terms of overall damage output, all else being equal. Try /Tactical Arrow as well. It's a very ranged-friendly secondary that has more opportunities for damage output via procs and ignition of OSA.
  12. When activating Danger Sense from Sentinel Ninjitsu while Ninja Reflexes is active, and while the character is flying, your character will use the animation from Dragon Kick, rather than the standard grounded animation. The Dragon Kick animation won't play if you don't have Ninja Reflexes active, either. Low res video showing the bug here.
  13. Positron's Blast is like, made for Cones. Nice set to 5pc if you're looking for range, and global recharge.
  14. @Snarky is objectively right. Drain Psyche does provide the best Recovery if conditions are met, but so what? Less risky Blaster sustain powers provide more than enough Recovery without having to rub your face into an angry swarm of bads. What exactly is the point of gaining 1000% Recovery (on a good cast) of Drain Psyche when you can cast a Nuke instead and still passively gorge on Endurance? The only real perk to Drain Psyche is the -Regen on it for hard targets. Otherwise it's a net DPS loss, with potential faceplant baked in.
  15. On a good build there's literally no upshot to losing Dom. You should have both the End sustainment and ToHit available at any given moment. The blue bar refresh should be viewed as a perk not a crutch. Think of it as the difference between walking into danger with a loaded gun versus your ammunition in your backpack.
  16. Turboprop Return Buff Sorceress (this punny name needs to go to a jacked support toon) Unthinkable
  17. I've been slack recently but usually I delete content characters that I haven't played in a while and can't find the urge to want to. Exceptions for some of my early favorites that I've played to death but still adore. The roster is due for another purge soon.
  18. Ironically both characters are playing dragon-people.
  19. Fun fact it has it's own page on the Wiki: https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Story_Bible
  20. If you don't like Caltrops and want to replace it with something else, instead of picking Kick go for Boxing and then 5 slot Absolute Amazement. You're paying the Fighting Pool tax anyway. Might as well get the most out of it.
  21. No, tankers have higher values. +4.3 DDR +2.6 Mez Protection Both stack
  22. I'd do this on a Scrapper myself. I think ToF is still trash, and a skip. Fight me behind the gym; bring friends. Shadow Maul is indeed great but you're still getting a 120° cone as a Scrapper, just hitting less. I don't think this gets the radius boost on a Tanker; IIRC this is one of the exception powers. edit: It does have a wider arc; got this confused with the target cap adjustments in i27p1. Shield Charge doesn't benefit from Tanker quirks. Shield has a taunt aura on Scraps. Not missing out there. Scraps are usually not expected to tank in teams, which is nice if that's not what your here for. But of course you can still pinch hit if you need to. Better ATOs for doing damage on a Scrap. It seems like you're after damage in your OP. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.
  23. Not really. You've got the good answers above. I'll add that putting this in one frequently used ST power is usually gravy, and in your specific case maybe putting another one in Neutron Bomb, and that'll do ya.
  24. "The Once and Future Lörj"
  25. I like cones. I don't even mind melee cones if they're actually good powers (Proton Sweep, Shred, etc) but there are two issues I have with some of them that I think other players might as well. 1) Often they have longer animations. Long animations are usually reviled and typically only put up with for the tradeoff in damage. I might be wrong on this but cones seem to be built around the AoE DPA formulas without providing the damage spread or ease of use of ranged and melee AoE spheres. The cones that do shine have 75°+ arcs (melee) and DPA closer in line with single target attacks. 2) At range especially it can be tricky to estimate what your cone pattern is going to look like. I'm not advocating for this, but if there were a diagram that let you know what your damage pattern was going to be on mouseover or something I think you'd find more people comfortable with accepting cones in their builds, as they'd be able to consistently maximize their shot placement (so to speak). As it currently stands, players have to invest time to understand their actual cone dispersion and even then it's basically an educated guess every time you fire the power. Personally I find that on ranged characters I haven't played in a while it takes me a few missions to relearn optimal cone positioning again. Not a big deal, but still a strike that 'fire and forget' sphere AoEs don't have to consider as much. So yeah, cones are good. But there are some things that make them fussy and it's fair for people to take issue where they are like that.
