Controversial Opinion of Population Decline
EmmySky replied to Solarverse's topic in General Discussion
I power level occassionally. I level 'naturally' occassionally. I even have a few toons I leveled soley through street sweeping. I build bases and I farm. There is always something to do. I have been playing here on Homecoming since August 8, 2019 and haven't missed a single day. I think people who leave, or take breaks, just don't have the level of........obsession that I do. They may love the game just as much as I do, they may enjoy all the different aspects just as much as I do, but they aren't obsessed. I have long known that I am an obsessive person. When I got into modern coding, I was coding like a mad woman, pages and pages of HTML and CSS, an entire variety of VRML that included a virtual hamster cage you could live in and explore. When I got into collecting Barbies, I went full boar, I have about 400 in the other room. You should see my household list for families and lots in The Sims 4. Everything I enjoy and get really deep into, I get REALLY deep into. Other people don't *shrug*. Hell, some days I wanna skip work just to stay home and play, and that's after over a year of playing every single day. There are people out there *gasp* that are able to play more than one game or do more than one hobby at a time. There are some people who only enjoy one aspect over any other aspects of any given activity. These people are allowed to exist *because we legally aren't allowed to weed them out* and they will come and go. They may join us in our game for a few days, weeks or months, but then they will move on to greener pastures. My pasture right here in Homecoming is as green as I need. I think blaming one single aspect, like power leveling, for the population fluctuation is a cop-out. You have to understand human nature and human proclivities and then go on to be willing to accept them. People will return when there is a new release, its the nature of the beast (as others have stated). Personally, I am grateful for all the people I have met here, the ones still around as well as the ones who have moved on. -
It isnt the most efficient as far as using fewer porters but it makes stuff easy. I have red side on one porter, gold side on one porter, two for blue city zones, one porter for hazard zones which will include shadow shard, and a last porter for co-op zones.

It may have to do with the camera view...if you fly prone you get a big ol' camera full of feet or partial body parts depending how far back your camera sits.

Okay, been working on rebuilding my base and have a few shots to share. Indomitable TRU-5121 if anyone wants to roam around, its not finished so you will find some empty rooms. Emmys Tavern Get this party started! Top of the world. Spa time! A moment of silence. The guardians of the mystical realm. Remember, in any base, if you cannot find a porter back to the entry, you can use /stuck. Keep up all the great work everyone!

Personally I am not big on events...I prefer just dropping things on people. At events I usually turn down prizes or gifts because others may need or want them more. I am not at all surprized you were seeing mostly RP people on Everlasting. To focus on other groups I think you would have to change shards lol. Not only a huge thanks to @VileTerror but to @Dacy and everyone else who had the patience to hand stuff out.
-
I have small bases on all shards with 5 enh bins...except Indom has 14 full..I can put in 4 more and you can come drop whatever enh you like....I can distribute stuff randomly or at Christmas or whatever is decided or if ya leave it up to me I dun care...will try to catch you on tort channel to get you access to bases for droppage.

Last year for 12 days of Christmas...I roamed around Atlas looking for baby heroes as yet unhomed to a SG and dropped holiday cheer in the form of 1m inf for first day of Christmas up to 12m inf for twelfth day of christmas usually 10 to 20 people a day. On Christmas eve and christmas day I found one or two likely looking candidates to drop 100m on. This took me maybe half an hour a day, an hour tops. With your stockpile, no trade window needed, just drop stuff on unsuspecting folks...you seem to have a bunch so like enhancements..give away a tray a day for holiday cheer...maybe make sure ATOs go to the right AT lol. It is super easy to find ways to give stuff away, especially if there is no trade declined consent barrier 😝

No-ween November! Just drop things on random people you find, send stuff to global emails of all the GMs, run spontaneous random contests for costumes or who can make it to FBZ from Atlas the fastest. Save the stuff for Christmas and do random holiday cheer give aways. Lots of options. I am sorry I couldn't be more involved but real life reared its ugly head and you know how that goes.

Everyone was ready at the usual time but with the later opening everyone must have been out doing stuff.

I agree the loss of focus should be looked at, however I have found a work around. In the vendor window, right click your stack of white recipes. A pop up menu has the key letter E to sell entire stack....so, right click, E, right click, E.....easy to skip past yellow and orange recipes you may want to sell on AH instead. Good luck and happy hunting!

I have no recollection of this. I remember when we didn't have exit buttons. I joined just before the hollows came out so if it was in this game it woulda been before that.

Looks like y'all had a fabulous time! I missed y'all today and cant wait to join next week. I have electric/electric scrapper I need to dust off and she already had an inappropriate outfit! @EmmySky = Sinnocence

Give the whole thing a sepia-tone color wash out and call it done.....not changing the models might break immersion for some but the color wash can help them pretend its in the past better....so perhaps its a middle ground. (Referring to anything set in the 30s-60s where model swaps on buildings and cars would be a lot of work.)

US switches 2am Nov 1, so not until tomorrow.

Re: contest All of them (except not Frostbiter's)...I can see that you posted them! I really like Snake Hat, So Many Eyeholes, and I Moustache You a Question. Fantastic work!

No...it is just a different way to access the game. You will still get the same log in screen where you enter the same info...its just taking a different, safer road to get there.
