All my girls have a bio, some short, some long, some are even just filler until inspiration strikes and I do it up right. I don't RP...no matter which girl I bring or which backstory she has, you still only get to chat with Emmy, but writing the bios is fun and crating the look is fun. My mom always told me to write a book. One of these days I might. I love that @Midnyte has included some of our bios with our glamour shots...I dont always have time (or remember) to read them while we are in-game. It is fabulous to see where everyones head is at on each theme.

I dont like cats. And its not their fault. Its the fault of all the owners, specifically in my neighborhood, who do not even bother keeping their 'pets' at home, much less spaying or neutering them. I have lost count of how many kittens have been born under my shed and around my yard. So many ferrel cats in the neighborhood now I rarely see birds or squirrels. Spay and neuter your pets people, and keep them in your own area. Leash laws apply to cats too, if I wanted cat shit in my yard I would get a cat. I dont like cats, but its not their fault.

Exactly this. This is already a compromise between gated content vs. no gated content. This is not a retail version of the game....I believe letting the costume focused people have their outfits makes the most sense. For the shiney, or the feeling of accomplishment, or the grind, or even the ego stroking, there are avenues of gated content in the game right now. I understand there are some new mechanics coming in the next issue which offer more gating without restricting player agency in a cosmetic way. That is awesome.

I said nothing about reasonable or unreasonable so not sure why you quoted me. However, it is unreasonable to claim that ungated costume parts is equal to the game being easier. The previous gates were not difficult, just time consuming or level dependent. Whoever removed the gates for costuming (cosmetic pieces) did not do it to make the game easier as Solar claims...it just removes inconvenience.

Solar...you are confusing cosmetics with gameplay. Wearing Roman armor on a Roman soldier toon is in no way making the game easier. People love the game and the way it plays. They love the customization and dont want to wait 35 levels for a character concept to come to fruition. The ability to put on that certain costume piece at 1 instead of 35 is not making the game easier. It is simply sidestepping certain content for the time being. Cosmetic items have no bearing on gameplay. I dont fly faster if I jave a cape. Roman armor doesn't get me a free pass into Cim, I still have to open it. The people disliking gated cosmetic pieces and the people petitioning for an easier game are not the same people.

Okay. Lets parse this out. Some people want more gated content, including cosmetic pieces which have no bearing on gameplay. Some people are opposed to more gated content, especially cosmetic pieces that have no bearing on gameplay. Most people agree that more gated content in the form of branching story arcs and surprise fights would be a welcome addition. Stop arguing about mental health and pocketbooks. This video game isn't a solution for the one and, thankfully, doesn't negatively impact the other. Have I missed anything pertinent to the discussion at hand? Let's start from square one and stop following the tangents. Actually, I am not sure that there is anything more that needs to be said. The devs will do what the devs will do. Happy hunting!

If you have to convince yourself to log in and play, well I just dont know what to tell you. More shinies aren't going to hold your interest in the game once the new wears off, as it has all the other accomplishments already in the game. Sometimes people need to go walk around the park, or call a friend on the phone, or even play a different game. I get antsy at work just counting the minutes til I get to come home and log in and play so I really dont understand people having to convince themselves to do so. I mean, if it's not fun just take a break for a while and come back when you miss it and WANT to play.

I havent found "the one". When my girls hit 50 they get a special set build with lots of uberness and fanciness. Then I play them for a couple weeks building incarnates. Most of them get boring in this span and I admit to doorsitting sometimes to gather threads. Right now I am working on my MA/wp scrappers incarnates and I haven't gotten bored with her yet. Although I also havent even decided which powers to build on her...I am just racking up parts so when I do decide it'll be fast. Is "the one" even out there? I think of it like a husband...I had one, it didnt work, rather than find Mr. Right I will find Mr. Right Now, and right now it is MA/wp scrapper 😁

I hope you see the irony of this. Your request (and that of other people who ask for more locked content) are NOT taking 'everyone in to consideration'. There are many players who are very casual and simply do not have time for overcoming certain gates. The answer to this problem has been to make the gate something you can do over time, which makes it just an inconvenience, not a challenge. As you claim you are being insulted, you are turning around and insulting others. I agree, you shouldn't have to run without enhancements or 'gimped' to feel a challenge. Perhaps adjusting your viewpoint on the subjective word 'challenge' will help. I like diving into base building and seeing if I can make a certain thing work. This is a challenge to me. I also like PLing up a toon just to see how fast I can do it (because I am notoriously slow). I like seeing how fast OR how cheaply I can buy a full set (all 90-odd slots) of enhancements, you can't do both LOL. I like chilling out and running tip missions in Atlas, and for a challenge, bring along some baby heroes and try to keep them alive. I have recently begun playing in the (new to me) zones of First Ward and Night Ward, they are super scary looking and the fights can be a bit of a challenge sometimes. You know why people run ITF on max with no goodies? Because its a fairly easy and straightforward task force. Unless you pick up a totally unprepared team who doesn't know a power icon from an inspiration, its going to be a cake walk. Most people who complain about challenge in this game are running PI radios involving council and no caves. I am not saying YOU do this, but many do. There are more challenging things out there, and sometimes we have to hunt for them or impose the challenge on ourselves. I'm not saying gimp ourselves, I'm saying hmm, I have half an hour before work, can I take down Inferno and clear the mission and have time to get my uniform on and hair in a bun? And please note, this is a discussion thread. Nobody but the devs actually have power to implement any of the changes or adjustments you and others are advocating. To say 'we are basically being told no' is disingenuous. People are disagreeing, and for valid reasons, but that's not a NO because the person who disagrees doesn't have the power to make it a YES. a simple 'I disagree' is not a 'no'. I still think gated things should be restricted to actual game play. Divergent story arcs. If you choose X you cannot choose Y. Costume pieces have nothing whatsoever to do with how well I play the game and therefore should be left open (IMO). You cannot do certain TFs until you complete the zone arcs and unlock them. That's a gate that actually has to do with playing the game. If you want to show off how fancy you are, the badges can all be worn as titles for bragging or .... whatever. And they actually have to do with game play. Either playing hide and seek with explore badges or defeating enemies or surviving battles, that's all game play. Wearing spandex or a robe is not game play (the costume crowd is going to nail me on this lol). Anyway, nobody should feel insulted or offended. This is a discussion and people are allowed to have differing opinions. Trying to change other peoples opinions is just like banging your head on a brick wall. Its not going to help. There is a hole there....I am pretty sure its been reported on the geometry section and I have seen several people talking about it. Not sure if they reported it as a bug or just continued playing lol. It is a known issue but never hurts to file a report 😁

I play with sound off, but I really enjoy watching the animations. DP/mc blaster makes me laugh out loud most of the time, as does staff fighting. MA scrapper is just a beautiful ballet, spinning and jumping and flipping. All very satisfying.

I am on Indom daily...hero though, but most of the people I chat with on general seem to think red side best side...I blame polluted water...anyway...just judging from that you should be able to find one easily. And lots of people will switch if you announce a team forming. Also, transfer tokens are up to 5 every 3 days...so you can move a toon and check out the population on one of the more populated shards very easily. Welcome back and happy hunting!
