It's funny that people do go to the movie theaters now days when they believe that the movie will be good. https://deadline.com/2023/11/five-nights-at-freddys-killers-of-the-flower-moon-godzilla-minus-one-global-international-box-office-1235594101/ But even Forbes knows the real reason that The Marvels did poorly: https://www.forbes.com/sites/conormurray/2023/11/13/the-marvels-faces-anti-woke-backlash-after-box-office-flop-echoing-captain-marvel-attacks/

I understand that you don't like WoW, and that's fine. I haven't played it in years. But is it really necessary to insult the millions of people who do play it by calling it a crime against humanity? You talk about what a great community we have here, and then demonstrate that you're not really part of it by being so mean and insulting toward millions of people that you don't even know. How does this blatant hypocrisy increase your general happiness and wellbeing?

Suggestions for Sentinel changes
PeregrineFalcon replied to Elementfury323's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I'd say ATs are defined as much by what they don't have as by what they have. Defenders don't have the DPS that Blasters have. Blasters don't have the heals or controls of Defenders or Controllers. Scrappers don't have Force Fields or Empathy power sets. These things that they lack define them just as much as the things that they do have. That being said, I think it's perfectly fine if end game content, like ATOs or Incarnate Powers, add things to ATs to shore up weaknesses or give them things that they don't have. Like giving Blasters mez protection, or giving Tankers and Defenders more damage output. Obviously it's a problem if a level 23 Sentinel is a Tankblaster, but is it really a problem if a Veteran level 100 Sentinel is a Tankblaster? -
Let's ignore Disney/Marvel/Panderverse
PeregrineFalcon replied to eldriyth's topic in Comic, Hero & Villain Culture
This I agree with. I cannot agree with this part because Disney can still afford lawyers. -
No, it's not creepy at all. It's actually pretty normal for most mammals. I'm not sure how or why normal comes off as creepy to you. Yes I have, and yes I know. You know, I just love it when you post in a thread and lecture us as if you're the only one on the forum who's ever been to a University. Well, you just go being you and trying to educate us lesser folk.

I sincerely hope that you all are joking with the whole "Christmas songs are about stalkers" nonsense.

Launcher Cannot Verify Server Status
PeregrineFalcon replied to PeregrineFalcon's topic in Homecoming Launcher
It looks like a lot of people are having the same problem. I blame Jack Emmert. I'm not sure how, but I'm certain that he has something to do with it. 😄 -
I also cannot log in. "The game client is unable to connect to the login server." Also, the server status page here on the Homecoming forums just says "Sorry, there is a problem. Something went wrong. Please try again." So, are the servers down?

Can scrappers get a Taunt aura for Super reflexes?
PeregrineFalcon replied to BlueValkyrie's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I like the fact that some Scrapper sets have a taunt aura and some do not. I also like that my SR Scrapper does not have a taunt aura. I prefer only drawing the amount of aggro that I can handle. -
Sometimes help is not helpful
PeregrineFalcon replied to TheMoneyMaker's topic in General Discussion
If they do anything with the tool tip I'd prefer they replaced the Light/Med/Whatever DMG line with a number. That number being the base unmodified damage at level 50. I picked that number because I'm guessing that the tool tips aren't capable of dynamically updating to take level, and other bonuses, into account. So the line would look something like: "Melee, 53 Smashing Damage (at 50), -Defense" Obviously this would be a time consuming find and replace job for one person, but I have no idea how difficult it would be. I'm also not convinced that anyone would actually benefit from the change, which would basically just make it a waste of time. -
Yeah, but is Windows 11 worse than Windows VISTA?
-
Aren't undead immune to psionic attack? No living mind and all that. It's like trying to attack a stone golem with a flame thrower. You brought the wrong tool for the job.

Ryan George of Pitch Meeting has a hilarious take on Ahsoka.

I have a Grav/Storm controller. Singularity pulls the enemies to it and then knocks them back. I have mine slotted with a Sudden Acceleration Knock back to knock down IO. This causes the enemies to constantly flop around near Singularity and makes it very easy to AoE them to death. One tactic that I often use while soloing is to Wormhole enemies to Singularity or TP Singularity around a corner into a group of enemies. This disables them and they're not able to attack me at all. I also recommend taking Arcane Bolt from the Sorcery power pool. When the combo ring lights up it's his highest damaging attack. Obviously I don't know if the developers have any plans to change Singularity further, but they haven't expressed any plans to do so.

How to make a macro that does 2 things
PeregrineFalcon replied to The Mighty Paladin's topic in Help & Support
Ah, my mistake. Removing the 'e' should fix it. Like this: /macro FLY1 "powexectoggleon fly$$cc 1" /macro FLY2 "cc 0$$powexectoggleoff fly" EDIT: I just tested both of these macros in game and verified that they do work. -
How to make a macro that does 2 things
PeregrineFalcon replied to The Mighty Paladin's topic in Help & Support
Macros are set up so that you cannot do more than 1 thing at a time, so you'll have to hit it twice. In order for this to work you'll have to have two identical costumes, the first one without wings and the second one with wings. Please note that costume slots in CoH are numbered 0-5, not 1-6. /macro FLY "powexectoggleon fly$$cce 1" This will first change to the second costume slot, which should be the one with the wings. The second click will turn on Fly. /macro FLY "cce 0$$powexectoggleoff fly" This will first turn fly off and then switch back to the first costume slot. -
So? At no point did I say that you couldn't play the game or enjoy it. And, just because you're enjoying the game doesn't automagically make my opinion, or his, invalid in any way. Other people are allowed to have an opinion and said opinion isn't wrong, even if you disagree with it. 😄

So Star Trek: Infinite is a 4X game that's a reskin of Stellaris by Paradox. If you've ever played Stellaris then you basically know how to play this game. It does have some things that aren't in Stellaris, like Mission Trees. It releases today and, since I've played Stellaris a lot, I've thought about getting it. Anyone else thinking about buying this?

While I agree that it's a ridiculous, click-bait thumbnail, that doesn't just automagically invalidate his opinion. Of course, in order to decide if his opinion is valid you'd have to actually watch the video. We both know that you won't do that because then you might, just might, have to admit that you're wrong. And we all know that one of the major rules of the internet is that you're never allowed to admit that you're wrong.

A Mac client! 🤣 I'm pretty sure they've already said that it's not getting a Mac client. See, not everyone wants to cater to the 4.8%. 😁

Well, the more time passes the happier I am that I passed on this. "Starfield is so BAD Because a 10 Year Old Wrote it"

I agree with you on all counts. They're calling it a demo, but it's clearly a beta. Or, as you called it, an alpha. Still, if they can address the bugs, and add more content, it might end up being a good game.
