My first Scrapper to 50, back on the retail servers, was MA/SR. My main, on both retail and Homecoming, is a Energy Melee. I guess that I just don't expect melee to be be AoE. To me the very idea of a melee attack being AoE makes no sense in most cases. So I guess the way that I deal with it, to answer the OP's question, is that I focus on what makes sense given the animations that I'm seeing and just having fun instead of caring about optimal DPS. Of course I also don't play on +4/x8 because the TTK is annoyingly long.

So this guy is an experienced MMO player. He makes a video where he pretends to be a noob. Does no research into the game at all. Deliberately does dumb things and dies a lot. And he's drinking while he's doing this. And that's supposed to convince people that "This game is not as new player friendly as many of us think it is"? The only thing it's convinced me of is that the OP doesn't think much of the intelligence of the people on this forum. This game isn't that "new player friendly" to someone who's never played a video game before. Sure, ok. I can agree with that. But we're a quarter of way into the 21st century. How many people in first world nations have never played a video game before, ever? If only we had a wiki that had all of the needed game info as well as pages with tips for new players. Or, what if this game had a chat window with a help channel so that new players could ask other players for help and advice?

People have been asking for Energy Aura to be proliferated to Tanks for years. If they add a Force Field Armor set, without giving Energy Aura to Tanks, I feel like I'm not the only one that'd be mad as hell. 🤬

Don't. You had the sharpness of eye to notice the difference in pets, the sense to ask the question, and the courage to persist when everyone was telling you that you were wrong but their answers weren't matching what you had seen. You may be many things, but dumb is not one of them.

My only character that routinely uses an emote is Colonel Green, my Mercs/FF MM. The macro orders his soldiers to attack and causes him to start drinking his coffee.

Don't worry about it Snarky. Death Korps of Krieg also uses Boltguns.

Yes. Go into options and you'll find the setting that will let you alter the size, and color, of the UI.

Once you get Kriegsmann to 50 you might want to check out Warhammer 40k: Darktide. It's a fun FPS that does a great job with the WH:40k mood and aesthetic.

My main is an Invuln/EM Tank. I've also made a version that's an EM/Invuln Scrapper. Both are very fun and I can team or solo with both. I'd say that if you're primarily going to team, and you like tanking, then make the tank. Otherwise make a Scrapper. And, once you have all of your Invuln powers, plus Tough and Weave, and some set IOs, your Invuln Scrapper can also be a taunt-less off tank.

You know... they have 2XP and 1.5XP items at the P2W vendor. I wonder how difficult it'd be for the developers to add a 1/2 XP item to the P2W vendor.

If you park in a spot that accumulates credit for a different Day Job badge doesn't it prevent one from getting Patrol XP? I know that it used to. I would park my characters in a hospital, or in Pocket D, and I didn't accumulate Patrol XP.

Playing a Mayhem mission is what convinced me to buy City of Villains in the first place! This was back before they were combined so I had to purchase City of Heroes separately.

Serious question: Do you really need to block 250 people? Also, you do realize that this mod already exists. It's called Discord. You can set up a server which allows you to communicate with and/or block far more than 250 people.

Type "City of Heroes license" into Google and read the articles. Don't you think that the Circle of Twelve has more important things to do than to post the results of a simple Google search for you? I don't mean to be a jerk, but do you not have Google in your country?

Imagine that you create a cartoon and then watch helplessly as Disney steals it from you, because they have 1 million times your marketing budget, and there are no copyright and trademark laws to stop them. Copyright and trademark laws stop this from happening. Sure they've gone too far, no one disagrees with that, except for Disney's lawyers, but they are a necessary part of an advanced civilization.

Yes, well that's certainly one interpretation of it. What the Supreme Court actually ruled is that "people do not lose their rights simply because they have formed, or are part of, a group, organization, or incorporation." If you want to interpret that as "corporations are people" then you can, I suppose. Personally I reject comedian Stephen Colbert's interpretation of the Supreme Court's ruling. I think it's an oversimplification of the situation that's meant to either be comedic or insulting to people who disagree with his point of view.

They're probably working at other companies and living in their own houses with their spouses and children. You can actually verify that with most of them using Linkedin. Projecting your life experience on others just doesn't make any sense.

What's really weird is that he actually edited his post to add in calling me a noob, not sure what the point behind that was. And his choice of insult just makes no sense. I'm in my 50's and I've been playing City of Heroes since 2006. So, the term noob literally doesn't apply to me in any way. I'd report his post except that: 1) I don't know how to get offended and, 2) I'm too confused to be angry.
