I have a Grav/Storm controller. Singularity pulls the enemies to it and then knocks them back. I have mine slotted with a Sudden Acceleration Knock back to knock down IO. This causes the enemies to constantly flop around near Singularity and makes it very easy to AoE them to death. One tactic that I often use while soloing is to Wormhole enemies to Singularity or TP Singularity around a corner into a group of enemies. This disables them and they're not able to attack me at all. I also recommend taking Arcane Bolt from the Sorcery power pool. When the combo ring lights up it's his highest damaging attack. Obviously I don't know if the developers have any plans to change Singularity further, but they haven't expressed any plans to do so.

Ah, my mistake. Removing the 'e' should fix it. Like this: /macro FLY1 "powexectoggleon fly$$cc 1" /macro FLY2 "cc 0$$powexectoggleoff fly" EDIT: I just tested both of these macros in game and verified that they do work.

Macros are set up so that you cannot do more than 1 thing at a time, so you'll have to hit it twice. In order for this to work you'll have to have two identical costumes, the first one without wings and the second one with wings. Please note that costume slots in CoH are numbered 0-5, not 1-6. /macro FLY "powexectoggleon fly$$cce 1" This will first change to the second costume slot, which should be the one with the wings. The second click will turn on Fly. /macro FLY "cce 0$$powexectoggleoff fly" This will first turn fly off and then switch back to the first costume slot.

So? At no point did I say that you couldn't play the game or enjoy it. And, just because you're enjoying the game doesn't automagically make my opinion, or his, invalid in any way. Other people are allowed to have an opinion and said opinion isn't wrong, even if you disagree with it. 😄

So Star Trek: Infinite is a 4X game that's a reskin of Stellaris by Paradox. If you've ever played Stellaris then you basically know how to play this game. It does have some things that aren't in Stellaris, like Mission Trees. It releases today and, since I've played Stellaris a lot, I've thought about getting it. Anyone else thinking about buying this?

While I agree that it's a ridiculous, click-bait thumbnail, that doesn't just automagically invalidate his opinion. Of course, in order to decide if his opinion is valid you'd have to actually watch the video. We both know that you won't do that because then you might, just might, have to admit that you're wrong. And we all know that one of the major rules of the internet is that you're never allowed to admit that you're wrong.

I agree with you on all counts. They're calling it a demo, but it's clearly a beta. Or, as you called it, an alpha. Still, if they can address the bugs, and add more content, it might end up being a good game.

And by "free demo" I mean YOU can log onto Steam and give Ship of Heroes a try, if you want to. It was ok. I liked the graphic style and the flight animations. The controls were a little sluggish. I'll definitely check it out when it finally launches.

One of the CoH spiritual successors, Ship of Heroes, actually has a free demo that just went live today on Steam. I'll let you know if it's any good! 😁 Supposedly it's even going to be launching early next year as a subscription only MMO.

Last year the devs said they were going to rework the Trick-or-Treat spawns so that EBs wouldn't spawn if you were soloing. Anyone know if that change was made?

Yeah, I would have liked it more had it been more of an actual horror movie. With the New Mutants actually working to overcome their fears and coming together as a super team, and then hunting the monster down and ripping it apart. The after credits scene should have been them being welcomed into the X-Mansion.

Slight tangent: Am I the only person on the internet who actually liked The New Mutants movie? And yeah, Gen V doesn't look interesting to me. I'm really not interested in yet another high school teen angst show. I'm almost 40 years past that demographic.

Stuff like this has happened to me exactly twice in all the years I played CoH. In both cases I instantly kicked the person and then wrote in team chat "I am the leader of this team. You will follow my directions or I will kick all of you like I just kicked that guy. Now, we all good?" In both cases we continued on, I didn't have to kick anyone else, and we had a great time. Strong leaders make great teams. Advertise your team as "Slow/kill most", repeat that in team chat right before you start the Task Force, and then ruthlessly kick anyone who refuses to follow directions. Your teaming experience, and that of everyone else on the team, will be much improved.

Don't do it! People don't actually want honest answers around here. That's why the honest answer is usually rewarded with a forum suspension. Trust me on this.

I'm planning on NOT buying Starfield. Early reviewers have been saying that much of the game is boring, that it's a buggy and broken mess. But honestly, the real reason that I won't be buying it is because I agree with Heelvsbabyface.

I'm very sorry to hear that the effects in this game cause you distress in any way. That isn't sarcasm, I truly mean that. And I agree that you should definitely put your health and well being above this, or any other, game. However, I completely disagree with your assertion that our community is horrible, and I'm shocked with how disappointed you claim to be with the people in this community. They hear that you're having a problem and their first response is to try to help you. And your reaction is to come to the forums and complain about how horrible the community is. Did one person appear to have a problem with you putting your own health above remaining in the team? Maybe, maybe that happened. Given the tone of your posts I'm not convinced that you didn't just completely misunderstand what they were trying to say. Either way, the 1 or 8 people on your team aren't "the community." Please remember, that not everyone who offers a stray bit of advice is aware of all of the details of your condition. So when they offer a piece of advice that you already know doesn't work, don't get upset at them, just realize that they are trying to help. And no, people aren't meaner now days than they were years ago. I've been dealing with adults for 50 years now. Yes, that's since the 70s. And I can tell you from personal experience that people really aren't much different now than they were back then. People aren't meaner online than they were 10 years ago either. 4chan, the internet's hive of scum and villainy, has been around for over 10 years. People were calling each other horrible names online back in the 90s. I think the OP should consider showing some of that kind and polite acceptance that he wants so desperately to others in our community. Sure, their attempts to help you may be misguided, but you should at least understand that people's hearts are in the right place. They're actually trying to help you.
