  1. Very interesting! Now I get to make fun of my Inv/SS Tanker brethren for being so meta. 😂
  2. To piggyback on the above answer, here's an example: Let's take Numina's Convalescence, a healing set with one unique enhancement, being slotted into Bio Armor which can slot many healing sets. You have 2x slotted in Health, including the unique Regeneration/Recovery enhancement, giving you 12% extra regen from the set bonus list. You have 3x slotted in Inexhaustible, giving you 12% extra regen and 1.88% maximum health. You have 5x slotted in Ablative Carapace, giving you 12% extra regen, 1.88% maximum health, 6% increased healing, and 3.75% S/L resistance. For a total of 36% increased regen, 3.76% maximum health, 6% increased healing, and 3.75% S/L resistance. However, because you have the set's unique enhancement on Health, you can't also have a 6x setup on Ablative Carapace for the 6th bonus on the list: 3.75% ranged and 1.875% E/N defenses.
  3. Oh, nice! My issue might get resolved automatically with this. And yeah, I had done Praetor Duncan's arc in Ouroboros again and she didn't magically pop into my contact list.
  4. So I tried resetting alignments and running all the DA content over again from Oro, calling Max each step of the way, when I noticed something: his relation bar would move up a tiny bit each time I did one of his flashback missions. So I ran all his missions several more times to completely fill up the bar and... nothing. He's still stuck and won't give me Praetor Duncan as a contact, Praetor Duncan doesn't physically exist in DA, and Sister Solaris won't speak to me. I tried overfilling the bar by one mission and playing his personal story as well, no dice. https://imgur.com/a/QDs8a7q I'm 100% sure now that I need a GM to reset Max for me. I really hope his following contacts aren't bugged as well due to running their stuff in Oro before meeting them.
  5. The bar only shows Hellions defeated. 100 fires extinguished takes a very long time for most builds, but it is what you need to do.
  6. Edit: The issue has been resolved by GM_Lethe A while ago I made the mistake of running through the first part of the Dark Astoria storyline via Dark Astoria, then deciding to run through the second part via Ouroboros. Max, the third contact for the zone, is now stuck in my active contacts tab unable to be talked to. This means I can't get Praetor Duncan, Sister Solaris, and then Dream Doctor as contacts, and apparently Dream Doctor has a badge mission that is not available in Ouroboros or through other players (Bailout Hero). https://imgur.com/a/O0zT8s4 I've done a bunch of things to try to fix it such as redoing the arcs in Oro, talking to Mu'Vorkan who introduces Max, switching alignments... but nothing results in Max talking to me. I think a GM has to reset him at this point. I hope his following contacts aren't also bugged due to doing their arcs in Oro first! My character name is Veracor.
  7. I lead Hamidon raids and iTrials every day. Today I got to do so with the 64-bit Client and have experienced the following: 1). Load times are significantly faster for both instances and regular zones, roughly halving most. Sometimes I even retain the star in itrials now! 2). iTrial framerates have improved and fewer people have mapserved, though that second part might have been coincidence. 3). Hamidon went from 4 fps at its worst (2 full leagues) to a consistent 35 fps. Seriously, massive improvement here! 4). I checked an MSR afterward and I had 18-22 fps in the mosh pit as opposed to 2. I'm on recent hardware but was still struggling a fair bit with CoH, to the point where I'd open my popmenus a few seconds early to ensure I selected the right calls. Not anymore! The everyday stuff I run is going to be so much smoother now. A big Thank You to everyone that worked on the 64-bit Client!
  8. Menu -> Options -> Windows -> Status Window Buff Display -> Set "Stop Sending All Buffs" to Disabled -> Test by switching zones to refresh your autos/toggles. You likely enabled this setting on accident via right clicking the status buff bar and then later saved your window options to the default file.
  9. Apparently the number of unclaimed respecs you can have available is a signed short and rolls over at 128 or so (I didn't keep a close track). I'm tempted to type /respec just to see what happens, but don't want to risk corrupting my character. Edit: Typing /respec just tells me I have no respecs remaining.
  10. The stickied Badge Tracker Spreadsheet has all/most the correct infos for i25 changes, as far as I know. https://forums.homecomingservers.com/topic/1331-badge-tracker-spreadsheet/
  11. Those are available from the Candy Cane vendor in the Pocket D ski chalet. The real question is how Piyerus got ahold of the Halloween event badges early!
  12. This will be a very interesting development to follow. We don't even know if the original people who shut down CoH are still at NCSoft anymore. Rebuilding the old burned bridges and making efforts to become a legit operation is much better than having everyone stay whack-a-mole pirate islands with a constant, looming storm on the horizon. Thank you for your efforts in not only providing us with a superb return to CoH, but also for being so professional in advancing and maintaining Homecoming as a project. Whether it backfires or not, I have major respect for your courage in making this move.
  13. The channel is Everlasting TFs, not Everlasting TF.
  14. Don't forget to add the part where you made a popmenu to set a bind that creates a macro and then you activate the macro using the popmenu in order to do what a bind can do but a popmenu can't. All to get around a space being in a global channel name. Last night was a fun one huh?
  15. The yellows and blues should be far enough away from the nucleus to clear without aggroing it, but you'll definitely need to tank during the greens. I'm not sure of Weakened Hamidon's attack range, but I know it is further than its aggro range, so if the tank needs to break aggro the team should do it raid style and run all the way behind rocks to break line of sight. Let the tank dip out periodically like this to allow the healing/regen debuffs wear off before going back in. It helps a lot to have 2 or 3 Controllers/Dominators to speed up the green phase as it is the most dangerous. You can also exit the mission and use /ah to buy more EoE's. If you're on Everlasting you can hit me up for a tank.
  16. Elevator 3 because I'm superspeeding and always whiff elevator 4.
  17. As someone who is vet level 528 I can assure you that I don't need more inf.
  18. Good point. I started replying with a mission-by-mission list of advice on getting each Master badge only to realize it was getting way too long and way too late. I'll finish it tomorrow or the next day and then post it as a proper guide I guess.
  19. Yes, you just need to be redside and select Ouroboros Initiation from the list of flashback story arcs (It's in the level 50 category if I remember right).
  20. A friend of mine mentioned the other night that near the start of Homecoming, there was an oversight with abandoning missions that allowed for extremely fast Reward Merit farming (on the order of like 500 per hour), and the person who reported it got the badge. If the story is to be believed then the badge is being given out in the same manner as live.

    Connected badge

I don't recall exactly if Lorenz comes in at all on the second mission, but I do remember him having an objective on the third? But only if you spoke to him before the first mission and/or via radio at the start of the third mission. I ran this several weeks ago so I'm a bit fuzzy on the details.

    Connected badge

I got this badge through flashback using Lorenz Ansaldo, after failing it once I talked to him in person at every mission update and checked for the radio on every mission to ensure I didn't miss any steps. It was overkill amounts of double-checking, but it worked. I also had completed Lorenz's story arcs through flashback prior to this, though I'm not certain Oro checks for that.
  23. FIRST!
  24. 1). A Scrapper deals more damage and doesn't need to rely on Fury, making them better at jumping in and out of combat on top of having significantly higher damage numbers when buffed to the max. A Tanker will have an easier time reaching def/res caps and can hold aggro for the team far better than any other AT. Brutes are extremely popular because they excel when neither of those things are applicable, i.e. not being on a team and bunching enemies up and chugging inspirations. AE farming is also popular, which throws a solo player into a big gob of enemies that only deal a single type of damage. Against this (Fire is most popular), Brutes get to have Tanker levels of resistance (due to only gearing for one element) while not having too much less damage than that of a solo Scrapper. There are also some base stat and ancilliary pool power differences -- for example Scrappers can pick up a snipe to safely pull tough bosses apart from each other. 2). The Defender will have stronger buffs/debuffs and secondary effects. The Corrupter will deal more damage. Defenders are more team-focused, Corrupters fare better independently. Maybe the level that they pick up their abilities matters if you're exemplaring heavily, but there's really nothing else to the AT difference. 3). Sentinels: "Less vulnerable Blaster" isn't exactly a bad thing, considering there's many endgame AoEs or cones that can knock a Blaster out even if they're centered on the tank (It's also possible that every Blaster on my team simply LOVES hugging the AV that I'm tanking). Sentinels are a bit of a generic gish in teams, but they can also get to 50 and solo without fear of faceplant. I've never had problems with Sentinels in my team at 50. 4). Bio Armor is very good, but it is really not the end-all that people make it out to be. Willpower, Electric, Invuln, Shield, Dark, and Radiation can all be built up to either its level or just below it -- either way, the difference in effectiveness will be trivial as this is not a game that requires minmax to succeed in. Yes, Offensive Adaptation adds about 10% damage or so and could stand to be nerfed. Burn says hi -- there's a reason the farmers are Spines/Fire, and not just because they're only fighting fire-breathing enemies. a). Titan Weapons is a late-blooming powerset that some people love and some people hate. It's slow to get started but ends up having the highest DPS. I love it, but I'd advise everyone to play with it for a short while and see if you can stand that really slow initial hit when tabbing between targets in a team -- TW makes you think before committing an animation, especially on a boss with run-or-die tells or deathzones that spawn underneath players. Bio Armor and Willpower are popular combinations with TW because they both offer better Endurance Recovery to deal with TW's large consumption, but do be aware that Bio's abilities will put your weapon away when using them, while Willpower is mostly passive/auto. For Scrappers/Brutes, there's not much difference, but for Tankers, Bio Armor has much better aggro auras. 5). Psionic Melee is a feast or famine powerset. You either do lots of damage or very little, depending on the mob type (Robots will laugh at you). The non-blade attacks do deal some smashing damage to help you get around that. If you're a Scrapper, Psionic Melee can easily do top tier damage in many endgame itrials as most of those crazy 54+# AVs are not robots. 6). MA/SR Scrapper is still fine. It's not going to be anything special at solo, and in team play it has plenty of single target damage for whatever reason the team picked you up for. Rad/Elec Defender is fine, as is Elec/Rad Corrupter. AR/Dev is often talked about but I don't see it frequently at level 50. Fire/Ice Tanker is okay. Trollers are taken for being Trollers, usually not for their powerset choices unless the team severely lacks the secondary and can't find anyone else to fill it. a). Broadsword is not in a great spot. It is better on Scrapper than on Brute/Tanker due to fatcritz, but could stand to be buffed pretty much everywhere. b). Sonic's -res is certainly useful against AVs or GMs but usually the team has enough damage and -regen to overcome the boss anyways and a defense-based debuff set is just as useful to the team. Other sets tend to be easier to aim, as well, but I think the real reason I never see Sonic Attack is because it's so annoying to use. c). I haven't played Beam Rifle but I'm pretty sure it doesn't strictly outclass Assault Rifle. One deals damage right out of the box, the other deals damage of a less-resisted type but needs to build up a bit with Disintegration.
  25. Edit: Removed old post, this is what I look like now (1000 vet levels and itrials later):
