While visiting the UK there was one of those once-a-century storms. We were pretty much socked in at a tiny hotel with a tiny bar. (Think Fawlty Towers, only with really nice proprietors.) i was trying the local ales, and my wife was sticking to Guinness. Someone made a remark about their new Budweiser tap, and I (not having tried it) remarked "You know, the Budweiser tastes like #!*% here." They replied, "Why? What are we doing wrong?" "Nothing. Tastes like #!*% at home, too!" As someone who grew up thinking the Brits perfected comedy, I was delighted to see him snarf his beer. I later learned they had licensed the name and logo from Anheuser-Busch, but they used the original (Dutch?) recipe. It was actually not bad.

There are reticles for that, too! Shouldn't the 20th badge be "Legit at Last!"?

I have a Natural character or two that uses some kind of Sprint, Athletic Run, and Combat Jumping in lieu of a Travel power. It's livable, and you can always park in the Shadow Shard or run Mayhem/Safeguards for temp jetpacks and such.

Agreed that hard stuff should be hard. Who knew? (And looking forward to the days when fewer teammates raised on a steady diet of PI Council mishes are whining about fighting Malta in our PUGs.) Roger on the Leadership pool. Even a couple of stacks make a noticeable difference. Skip one LotG enh in favor of the +Acc unique from the Kismet set. Or is it called +To Hit? Whichever, it does the opposite of what's on the tin. There are also some uniques that reduce status effect duration. And, in conclusion, if you spend too much time mezzed, blinded, or unable to hit? Be a good kid and eat your grapes and bananas! They're good for you!

The Baby New Year thing ("take your kid to work day") IIRC, was terminated after teams of players entered a mish or portal and left piles of dead babies behind. Yeah, not a good look!

I have a character with every teleport power in the game. (That's his shtick; he teleports!) The one TP trick he can't do is bring his team to him across zones. That would be my wish.

The IP issue mainly is related to players making characters that do all 3 of these things: Copy the color scheme Clone the costume Approximate the name You can usually get away with one of the above. Choose wisely.

I made an Arsenal/Traps controller and just for grins went with a GI Joe theme, slightly customized Soldier costume set. When I changed the pants from Tucked In to regular pants with a camo texture, I lost any way to customize my Boots. I don't know if this exists on Live, or is new or what, but figured I'd share.

Any word on last night's revisions? Seemed large to me on my Verizon Wireless Dial-up Emulator.

Oh, absolutely! Between Mr. Mind and "I, Arthur" he almost never met a mental challenge he couldn't fail. Arthur was the brains of the team, for sure!

I'll play my usual one-string harp, and bring up Mayhem Missions... again! Nothing makes my villains' black hearts soar like blowing up cop cars! Oh, so many cop cars!

Agreed, except insofar as we aren't sure he's wearing anything. He could be running around naked as far as we know! (In fact the Amazon series played into this, showing him molting parts off. And also had the fun bit where most of the first episode he seems to be Arthur's imaginary friend!) Also, as someone said, he doesn't need Rage! I figure his only travel power is Combat Jumping, with the Crumble travel aura. And he clearly skipped all the Psi-hole mitigation options!

Didn't have enough characters for "Mad Scientist's Daughter". So I gender-swapped 'em both, and nabbed "Mad Scientist's Son" on Torch! "Mom! Stop with the shrink-ray! You're embarrassing me in front of my team!"

Don't forget about your private Vault for salvage, which can hang on the SG wall, but doesn't count against the 18 table limit. The Vault can be accessed any time by clicking the Vault item which is at the bottom of your Salvage window. The Auction House is also a great place to store stuff for that character only. (You can't use /ah in a mission to pull it up, but you can run to the entrance if it's important.) Ourobouros portals, Supergroup Portals, and Rapid Response portals can all be summoned up in mishes, too. Best to have the Mission Transporter P2W power to get back to the mish. Speaking of P2W, you can get a self-destruction power there that blows you up, and you can choose to go to the Hospital, where the /ah command works fine. (Warn your teammates first, though.) Random suggestions occurred to me while perusing this thread. Would any of these help, do you think? Make names able to be traded on the Auction House? Give out once-a-week tokens that would message the owning player? ("Another player has expressed interest in this name. Reply to contact them anonymously.") Lengthen the character name field from 20 to 30 letters? Reward a badge for players who surrender a name? Make the optional definite article count as part of the name. (That way "Doctor" could coexist with "The Doctor" on the same server.)
