  1. I can testify the tip missions will hang around all year long, like many Valentine's Day regrettable choices. Maybe you could try teaming with a Villain or Hero to clear your pernicious Tips?
  2. I was underwhelmed by Mighty Leap/Takeoff for an SS Tank, but it tided him over until he got his real Stomp power. (I means you likely won't be taking CJ, so make sure the other FoW powers make up for it, for you.) Sorcery is pure win, IMHO: Mystic Flight is END-hungry, but is easily the best personal Teleport in the game. Oh, it lets you fly, too. Rune of Protection is one of those powers I keep in my back pocket and seldom use, but it's nice to know I can pop that, put my aura heal on auto-fire, and survive one more fight that I shouldn't be able to. Arcane Bolt let my character stop using Blackwand as part of my attack chain. (The agony of the Ill/Rad controller!) I understand the pool has two other powers, but I've never tried them.
  3. Snark may not have been watching the Internet back in 1996, but I was: https://web.archive.org/web/20031227221244/http://www.jennicam.org:80/.
  4. Submissions open Monday, right? I can't wait! Will we get to see finalists, runners-up, and such?
  5. I like that the OP is trying to incentivize their desired behavior in teammates. (Rather than the all-too-oft suggested punish the undesired.) Grats! As a stormie nut, I have to agree with MTeague: KB->KD transforms Tornado from skippable to essential. Gale can go either way. But Hurricane must never see a KB->KD. It ruins the power. Lightning Storm, you can avoid needing to slot KB->KD if you hover or CJ up to fire it off. From a 45 degree angle, KB and KD are extremely similar. But, on the off chance I wind up on a team with KB-phobia, I keep a couple KB->KD enhancements and a bunch of Unslotters handy at all times.
  6. Wow! Something new every day. Thanks for the info!* * I dunno about "better than Sam Jackson as Nick Fury" though
  7. May I introduce you to my good friend, /wdwsavefile? I think you two would get along great!
  8. Ultimate? Like when Nick Fury is Sam Jackson?
  9. Hasten depends on whether I like my current powers or not. I grab it right away if I like what I have, skip it if I'm still waiting for the fun powers to show up. As far as bad choices... Whatever fun-hating demon possessed the Devs to implement ED is both an example, and the reason all my choices up till then turned out to be bad.
  10. Truth! Once you hit the debt cap, it was free, too!
  11. One of my favorite in-game memories was when my FF controller was making his way across the Hollows with Hover. Normally, I'd be repainting the bathroom while I waited, but this time I stuck around. And below me, a teammate from the previous night was slowly going down before a crowd of Pumices. I hit him with every bubble I had, and he killed them all. I felt like a real hero that day, and he was ecstatic! Good times, indeed!
  12. The satchel is nice for holding more salvage, if you like that kind of thing.
  13. That what I thought was happening the first time I heard the term. I'm thinking, "Really, we're almost to the Reactor Room and you want to work on your backstory?" They probably wondered why I was outspokenly encouraging...
  14. My Dual Pistols blaster would just like her LRM to not be imaginary. But a small buff would be nice, too. It's a bit underpowered for a power that needs 2 pool choices to unlock.
  15. So glad to see this! Great idea -- I've been promising to hold one when I'm rich and famous, but that's a long way away. Cheers!
  16. Recently got a steampunk character to 50, went to pick an incarnate pet. Clockwork, of course! Yeah... Nope!
  17. I truly enjoy the ITF (And on Torch have advertised the "World's slowest ITF" which filled immediately). But it is lacking in one crucial, dramatic beat: I wanna fight the giant Nazi Robots! Gimme my giant Nazi robots, dammit! (please?)
  18. I play a lot of controllers and defenders, and for whatever reason, they tend to be defense-based and recharge-starved. Genie of the Ring has Scorpion Shield 5-slotted, with 4 LotGs and the Shield Wall unique. In addition to the +7.5% recharge, that grants: +21.33%% strength to smashing defense on self unresistable +21.33%% strength to lethal defense on self unresistable 17.50%% resistance to toxic damage on self unresistable +14.22%% strength to energy defense on self unresistable Plus the set bonuses: +5% Resist (All) from SW, +10% Regen, +1.13% HP, and the +9% Accuracy for all powers. Which doesn't suck. The only other Mace power sans Mace is Focussed Accuracy, which I've never seen the utility of. So: Niche, but very helpful on the right toon.
  19. Are you kidding me! Boy, do I feel sheepish... Bah!
  20. It's in Options:Windows:Powers, right below "Lock Powers in Tray."
  21. OK, you guys necroed this thread, so I felt obligated to add: The wonderful, thoughtful, lovely and talented Devs DID make a "Lock Tray Numbers" to go along with "Lock Powers in Tray!" Blessings upon 'em!
  22. Fair point. All right, TEN times the pay!
  23. Sorry to see you go! (On the other hand, now you can free-lance as a consultant at twice the pay!) Farewell!
