  1. Heavily depends on what your T8/T9 is... For my Bots/FF MM, getting Upgrade early (she's currently level locked at 29) was a massive uptick in capability (on top of the other buffs). I expect the same will be true of 'trollers. Their pets are game changers.
  2. Since I don't like leaving emails in my box... I usually send myself a global with 1 inf, then when it shows up, reply to it with the actual amount or item. Then once I've claimed them (and TRIPLE checked that I have done so), I can delete both.
  3. Do I actually need to repeat myself? Or do you honestly not grasp the simple and basic principles of "nobody with any sense makes more work for themselves" and "you don't fix problems by breaking other things and making things worse"? Not to mention your last sentences is patent nonsense. They are working on equalizing and standardizing everything - you just don't like how it's being done. Had the devs encouraged non-AE activities, you'd have a point. They didn't. They did the same kinds of things they've in many other Pages, with and without changes to AE. There is no conspiracy. There is no secret agenda. There is no "pressure" being applied. There is no pressure to do something you don't enjoy. The AE buildings are still there and fully functional. The farms are still there and you can still farm to your heart's content.
  4. Nor should it be happening. When you find a nail sticking out of the floor, you pound it back in. You don't eff up your entire house and give yourself a thousand times more work by raising the floors in the entire house. Or, to put it simply, the devs were faced with a simple choice... They could do grave damage to the entire game. Or they could modify the one part that was causing problems. The choice is a no brainer.
  5. Just a heads up - If you're not watching Akiba Maid War, you should check it out. It's deliciously insane!
  6. Right. Your math, not having 11 attacks, means each 'bot on a full team (six bots) has less than 1.8 attacks each. Yeah, no. Fully equipped and upgraded, the Battle Drones alone bring 9 attacks to the field. Protector Bots bring 6 (3*2), and the Assault Bot brings another 3, for a total of 19. (I leave it as an exercise for the student to work out whether 11 or 19 is the larger number.) Not to mention it's not like your blaster cycles through all 14 attacks - more like 3-5 with the balance being either situational or longer recharge. And also not to mention those six pets can fire off more attacks per unit time than any single blaster. That is, just like a team of players can fire more attacks per unit time than any single player. Another factor to consider is that an MM and his pets, just like a team, represent multiple targets for the mobs. Your hypothetical blaster represents a solo player - a single target. I give and grant that an MM's "team" is a bunch of bumbling sidekicked up semi-competent n00bs... But they are absolutely, unquestionably, the equivalent of a team.
  7. Right - multiple attackers with significant damage output as well as various secondary powers in no way equates to team. No, they're not the greatest team ever, but they are very much a team. Drop by the Robotics Revamp thread over in the Beta forums where @Sir Myshkin discusses his solo tests against Rikti Pylons. MM's may suck in post 50 play, but there's 49 levels before that which need to be considered as well.
  8. Giving and granting that I've been guilty of participating in such derails myself... Yeah. The problem here isn't the system, the problem here is the people. And the problem we're currently experiencing is a small number of individuals getting butthurt because their off topic and against the rules posts got hidden. (A number of whom are also experiencing paranoid delusions that they are being deliberately and individually targeted and excluded from some mythical "club".) Yes, there were some people unfairly caught up in the dragnet, but... That's just life. Mods are human and make mistakes. (BTDT)
  9. I think it was the old Live forums... But I've been on forums where there was a 10 character minimum post length. And you saw exactly that - "I agree, ten characters worth."
  10. You don't understand how slots works - once you get them, they're always there. Even when exemped down... So the problem isn't a low-30's character, it's the 40's and 50's. That being said, with this change you get your T9 at level 26 (not 28)... +2 slots at 27, +2 slots at 29, +3 slots 31. So, in theory and with great sacrifice you could have it slotted as early as 31. You can use lower level standard IO's, or you can use attuned set IO's and dodge the penalties that come with exemping down.
  11. You've submitted a bug report?
  12. Why are MM pet level shifts still a thing? Because game balance is still a thing. An MM with a full suite of unshifted pets is basically an entire almost full strength team all by their lonesome - especially once they've taken their T8 and T9. They'd be significantly OP. That could be fixed by downgrading the pets, but I'm not convinced MM's would be in a significantly better place afterwards. (Because, game balance would still be a thing.) And it would be a significant task, because it really can't be done some now, some later. You'd have to rework the pets at the same time to prevent OP MM's from roaming the landscape in the meantime.
  13. OP can be reduced by shifting the damage to more resisted types, or spreading the set out a bit among types. I think that depends on if you're looking at it as a blaster set or a defender set... For a blaster, yeah, For a defender, maybe it's a bit much but they can be tuned by controlling the time the debuffs are effective (or the END cost/recharge for the more valuable debuffs). For my part, I don't care for fancy tricks like stacking. Especially since so many fights are over so fast you never really get a chance for stacks to matter.
  14. I can't quite work out why this appears, and it does disappear after a bit... It appears to be related to having an untrained alternate build.
  15. You do have them slotted for ACC and DMG? This is especially important for the Battle Drones. Another factor is controlling your difficulty level.
  16. OK, took my bots/FF out in her lvl 29 form... And didn't really encounter any Endurance problems. Looks like Upgrade is where the problem starts to kick in.
  17. "Attack on Titan: The Final Season, no, really, we mean it this time." 🙂 🙂
  18. A fellow fan of the Mountain Climbing Girls?!? Mob Psycho never caught my eye, but I know a lot of my ani-twitter mutuals are excited about it.
  19. By my scale, that's more hardcore than casual... 🙂 Either way, it's considerably more difficult than I'm running.
  20. Don't throw the baby out with bathwater though! There's plenty of useful (and not heated or necessarily off topic) discussion in the current threads... For example the post I just made in the Robotics thread replying to a player who, in the course of replying to an earlier post of mine, drew my attention to a hole in my testing methodology. Testers have used those threads to create feedback, to ensure that things weren't missed or skipped. To theorize and then go test those theories. That's what blew up in Page 4 and again here in Page 5 - testing was overwhelmed by talking. As I see it, problem isn't so much one of separating feedback from discussion as it is seperating testing from talkers. Testers (and Devs) should not be forced to compete with talkers. (And no, before anyone brings it up, testers shouldn't be forced off the forums and onto the Discord either.) I give and grant that devs want feedback, as pure and undiluted as possible... But over the years, there's also been a great deal of useful dev interaction in such discussions. Devs have pointed out things that don't need testing or further testing as they'll change in the next patch, or they're actually WAI. They've said (in replies to testers) "Whoops! Missed that!". Etc... Etc...
  21. I've never slotted endurance reduction in the past, never seemed to need it. I never really looked until the discussions in this thread drew my attention to it. But then I'm a casual/low level player, not a AV/GM hunter and in the past anything above +0x1 was often more than I could handle. Now I'm running +0x2. Might be able to handle +0x3... That's why I was asking for a touch more +recovery rather than endurance reduction. Not a big change, but enough to let the SO player and the less skilled make better use of the increased lethality without paying a slot tax. I'll try comparing my Live toon to a new copy on Beta, but I'm not sure how valid the test will be because they're not playing in the same league...
  22. I don't know that I agree. That doubles my work in trying to keep up with what has and hasn't been tested, what's working and what's not, etc... etc... It makes the signal to noise level markedly worse than it already is. If folks want to gripe and complain about a change - well, the General Discussion forum exists. Let's keep the Beta forums for those of us actually testing the Beta.
