  1. I tried getting into AoS. I read Nick Fury Agents of Shield when I was younger. Sadly, the show is nothing like that. I was expecting competent agents facing Hydra and having fun spy and action adventures. The first season was fun but they were incompetent. The reveal was great. And the show worked for a couple of episodes with that, but then it just felt like endless repetition of the same grind. The traitor storyline would not end. The show was not about Shield vs Hydra but just internal politics within government agencies. The worst thing about the MCU is the need to have the superheroes fight each other in almost every movie. I hated Civil War. I want superheroes fighting supervillains. I want Shield vs Hydra, not Shield vs Shield and other government agencies. I tried picking it up with Ghost Rider, but the main plot was the same - them hunting each other. Quake is hunted by Shield. No one in Shield trusts each other. I get that some people liked it, but it just felt like the X-Files with a different name. The same endless government infighting, plots that go nowhere, and people in black uniforms walking around in shadows.
  2. I got Marvel Unlimited for awhile and enjoyed the comics, but my old ipad2 stopped working with it. I read Avengers, Spiderman, FF, and some others from the 60's to the 70's. I stopped reading comics at the end of the 80's, and trying the new ones I generally don't like them. I might just have picked bad ones, but I found the ones I tried had a painfully slow pacing. They felt like the Marvel Netflix shows where very little happened dragged out over a long period of time. I prefer the older style like the CW shows where a lot happens every episode. I would get Marvel Unlimited again because there are a ton of old comics I want to read, but new comics seem to have no appeal to me.
  3. Adam Warlock started as Him and then became Adam Warlock. He had a life without Thanos. They might also go the Magus route with the evil version.
  4. I did your Dark Deeds in Galaxy City part 1 yesterday and it was good. I didn't bother with a review since it is already a Dev choice arc. I need to play the other parts of the arc.
  5. Jerk Hackers! is a 3 mission arc with a deliberately dumb plot and lots of custom characters. The bad: the plot being dumb is not bad. But there just is not enough text to flesh it out and make it interesting. It feels like placeholder text. Enough info to tell you what is going on, but not enough to make it interesting. The good: the missions themselves are the kind I really like. Lots of things to do and details, most of which are not mandatory. There are patrols wandering about, things villains are guarding, different groups of villains, NPC chat, etc. The enemies are all custom and the names and designs are interesting and fit the plot. The first mission is a fairly large outdoor map. You have to find things. You can skip most of the fighting and just look for the things. I cleared almost all of it as I was enjoying checking out the different enemies. The next two missions are fairly short indoor missions. The maps are medium size with a lot of details but as most are optional you can get through fairly quickly if you want (especially as a stalker). I recommend the arc for those who like mission details. Playing the missions felt very different than a normal radio mission. I do wish some more work was put into the text.
  6. I am a big Adam Warlock fan so I hope he appears. Given that they had Stark create Ultron, I don't think they are concerned with matching the comics. They would just make Adam Warlock. I am hoping that Kang is the big bad of this next era and they use Kang to merge universes and blend timelines so they can add in the X-Men and make other movies also part of the MCU but not in the same universe or timeline.
  7. I watched it all on prime with no cost, but I am a prime member.
  8. I love cornbread but I don't bake
  9. I did that on live but haven't done that with any of my new characters
  10. There are roughly 3 types of players and here's how to revitalize anything. Those who go through solo content for content. To get them to use a place put in missions to that place. Preferably new story arcs with contacts that show up automatically in their contact list. Those who do content for rewards, and those who do group content (because people who do group content go where the people are). To get them to use a place put it in a daily or weekly rotation for rewards. You cannot just make it more rewarding - there are too many zones and things. People do the most rewarding one. You have to make it rotate so they do each of them. Those who do badges. To get them to use it, put in badges.
  11. I would like to keybind costume changes. And have costumes for different areas. An outdoors costume, office costume, caves costume.
  12. I really like the idea of just putting AE contacts out in the world. The KR arcs have people you talk to who teleport you to a mission, so that is in game already.
  13. I often forget this and find I have clipping issues in the back. I made a large character with a tech knight butt cape and the clipping was terrible. I noticed as soon as I created it and started running around in the world, after 30 minutes of fiddling in the costume editor.
  14. Obvious things like title and bio. But do you customize the colors of individual powers? Have you customized what your long distance teleport looks like? Do you set a stance for when you fly?
  15. Yes on super reflexes. And Martial Arts sets that are melee and do not have shuriken. But it is "Technology" not "Devices". A broadsword, battle axe, and katana are definitely technology. Unless you think humans naturally have broadswords somehow.
  16. I believe you get up to level 18 powers in the two Positron TFs. So basically level 19 characters. SO's only. You fight Vahz, Clockwork, and CoT. So you deal with toxic, END drain, and to hit debuffs. You have to fight off the ambush on the city hall steps, your shadows, an EB or two, and an AV. My go to is a dominator. With domination up you can control your shadow dopplegangers and make that fight easy. I also want one with a persistent area control - earthquake, static field, ice slick, etc. You can drop that in front of the city hall doors and it makes the ambush easy to fight off. I tried earth domination but earthquake and ice slick are terrible with clockwork. They are vulnerable to knockback so instead of getting knocked down they get knocked away from it. You can fix that, but not with SOs. So I have settled on electric control for a primary. Static field for general control and paralyzing blast (you get at 18) for the shadow dopplegangers. For secondary I am thinking psionic. Good against all of the foes, especially the clockwork. But I am not settled on this. Is there a better ATT or powersets to use for the Positron TF?
  17. This is most noticeably a problem with KR which often has 2 versions so part of the team will be on KR2.
  18. What powersets in the game would you accept as natural origin? The only 2 I can think of are willpower and street justice for primaries and secondaries, with the fighting pool and leadership for pools. Everything else is not something a human can do or uses technology.
  19. Batman has body armor and gadgets. He is considered a natural but many posters in this thread would consider him technology because of his gadgets. Give some warriors armor and interesting weapons. Give them trick arrows and other powers and I would be happy with them being interesting.
  20. I find the reverse. The skulls use death magic and are lower level than the Warriors. How are the warriors as normals with swords and camouflage pants tougher than Skulls? Make the Warriors levels 1-5 and that makes sense.
  21. But they just have those names. There is nothing special about them in either costumes or powers.
  22. People do make fantastic arcs in AE. The problem is finding them amidst all of the farms.
  23. Right? They could be wearing armor from different time periods. They could have bosses with a mythological connection. Something interesting
  24. It always seemed weird to me that the Warriors and Family who use regular weapons are more powerful than the skulls, hellions, and trolls that have super powers.
  25. I'm not saying they are underpowered or overpowered. They are just boring. Their look is so normal it is boring Their attacks are boring. I can't think of any special types of warriors like sorcerers or shamans that you pay special attention to. They just seem like a generic mob of guys with swords. Is that a problem? Is it less fun to do missions with them? Is it good because they are the palate cleanser between other groups?
