  1. Or think about it this way ... What's the likelyhood the issue is within the Dev's and HC servers and the forums and in game chat isn't flooded by complaints. If you and only a few others are having the issue it is far more likely not to be HC side of things but somewhere outside of their control.
  2. For my Claws/SR it's Zone R, F Slaughter R in this case being 'target nearest' And of course about a gazillion build tweaks. Think I hit 13 ... all on paper, longhand, in the snow and all up hill by issue 5. Thank the cosmos Mids' came along.
  3. @ScarySai, I've no Sentinels presently myself so curiosity brings me to ask why #10.
  4. Haven't ever consciously given up on a character. That said there's a few back on Live that sort of withered on the vine as I eventually never got back to them before sunset. These days with 1000 slots I doubt I ever will, they'll just move further and further down the list.
  5. Exactly. Could it happen, sure but no where remotely that often. Then again this is a computer based game engine it can likely handle a 5% chance as easily as a 0.00000000001% chance 😜.
  6. I hear you, sounds like my situation (before the computer died). For extra irony I moved from a home less than 2 miles down the highway with high speed internet broadband cable. Now it's a hot spot with the aforementioned 15 gigs which lasts maybe a week. At one point even talked to Verizon about getting hooked up ... sure they'd love to. Only wanted nearly $20,000 to extend the line to us. Ahhh right that's only slightly less than my yearly income as a Walmart grunt. As for escort missions my group of friends back on Live often joked about getting a burlap sack power. As in thump 'em on the head, toss them in sack and carry their non-resisting bodies out to safety.
  7. I think the two sets are very, very different. Willpower is a mixed typed defense with resists and regeneration powers. SR is positional defense, no self heal or regeneration powers and scaling resistance that kicks in as you take damage. SR also has DDR, Willpower has none. SR's ddr should be over 90 and can be 95% meaning the set can basically ignore defense debuffs. Willpower will feel every defense debuff and will experience cascade failure which can result in very rapid death when incoming damage exceeds its passive but potentially massive regeneration. Damage for SR can be very spikey as "lucky" hits land often going from essentially full health to red/dead. Getting a feel for which red-lining hits are a real threat and which you'll recover from is part of learning SR's learning curve (and watching combat attributes). I've taken hits making me very colorful and basically ignored it knowing my natural regeneration and scaling resistance will let me survive without using inspires or other options to heal. I would expect an SR in the low to mid 40's to be leaving endurance woes behind. Are we still on SO's, basic IO's or getting sets? Are the recovery and +end IO's in the build or +max end accolades?
  8. And exactly why I mentioned spamming Stone Cages above. I also tend to build my Earth/Storm's as stunners (Stalagmites, Thunderclap and Fissure). Stonecages helps keep the stunned foes in place as well. IIIRC the -kb is of shorter duration than the Immobilize, but given how fast teams in particular destroy even +4 mobs that's rarely an issue either.
  9. A couple of thoughts 1) Resistance debuffs are their own (weird) animal and is not effected by either the purple patch or AV resistances. 2) most of the time defender values are better as buff/debuffs. Some AT set powers for corruptor and defenders are the same. As far as I know they are never better. Hopefully, if there is an example or three, someone will point that out.
  10. Looooong time ago (pre-ED) Sappers, or more precisely Malta, did get nerfed. They used to potentially spawn more than one sapper vs large teams.
  11. One of the first things I'd do is slot those +end and +recovery uniques. Replace that 3rd endmod in Health with the Perm Shifter +end (nets you more because of ED than a 3rd Endmod IO). Similarly you can put another Perf Shifter in Physical Perfection as they are not unique IO's Something else I often do when not slotting a power for set bonuses is slot 2 two dual aspect IO's instead of 2 single aspects of the 2 I'm trying to buff. In your build specifically I'm looking at Tactics. Use an Adjusted Targetting endred/to hit and a Guassian's endred/to hit rather than 1 each of the generic IO's for endred and to hit. You'll get slightly better returns on both values for the same number of slots . I'd also look into either Musculature and Agility incarnates as both can help with endmod as well as other values you're probably looking to improve.
  12. Can't speak for @Falseybut I never found it all that problematic on my Earth/Storm's back on Live. Two things probably contributed heavily. First I tended to use Stone Cages fairly freely and second typically fighting up level mobs which naturally reduces knockback magnitude (sometimes turning it into kd). And, of course, using positioning as much as possible (into walls, corners, etc.).
  13. This, it's the repel in Hurricane that does most of the keep the foes at range work
  14. More or less as MTeague, usually I'll either be crafting, auction house or running a mission of my own while I watch what's going on in chat then join something. Server, time of day, or which day in the week can all make a difference. And add to those global friends as well as watch chat channels related to specific events such as task forces (which can very by server)
  15. I think you hit on the head. As to /Regen being fairly unique to the 'doing great' or sudden death condition other mitigation sets only get glimpses of the issue, usually involving more exotic damage (psi, toxic, etc.) . Regen doesn't have a 'hole', all damage types are basically holes to Regen.
  16. SR has two things that are essentially unique to it. DDR - your defenses will be extremely stable, defense debuffs just don't work on you. Scaling resistance - as hp drops your resistance goes up. For Tanks this means you can get to the soft cap early and relatively easily. In turn that frees up choices in your build (most builds require set bonuses for getting there, SR does not). And scaling resistance works better and better the greater your max health and synergizes well with Tanker resistance caps of 90%. That adds up to really not needing a self heal, natural regen will take care of what gets through. And once you hit Incarnate content the option for Rebirth is available for those oh $&*##^ rough spots that rarely occur.
  17. That first log in on Homecoming ... was hard to see the screen for a bit, there was definitely something in my eyes. Welcome!
  18. It all comes down to build goals. What are you looking to do with that recharge? Gapless attack chain, perma-(power choice), other? Have those goals been met? What would you be giving up to get there (defense/resists, mez protection, etc.)? What AT and sets are you?
  19. Just remember Vengeance is great tool for the guys beaming, I mean teleporting in with you wearing the red shirts.
  20. LOL, I didn't even notice the format. Too busy doing 60 (my birth year) and subtracting 52 to get 68!
  21. Have yet to make a Sentinel. But looking in from experiences with scrapper and brute /SR, stalker /SR and /Nin I'd say the choice boils down to Nin utility powers vs SR's scaling resists and DDR.
  22. If I remember correctly you can turn off the effects of the defender damage buff in Mids'. Perhaps even scale it for team size (1,2,3,4+) to see that accounted for in Mids'.
  23. Which is a limit to pylon testing vs testing vs mobs. With mobs some of your dps is basically wasted when your foes has a sliver left. That can only happen once vs a pylon. So it becomes a judgement on how often you overkill your foe and if the crits speed kill time (1 or 2 shots vs 3+) against mobs measured against the accumulated extra damage against hard targets (GM's, AV's, etc.) measured as pylon times/dps.
  24. Picture please, can't use Mids' or get in game and now you all are driving me nuts to see it.😜
  25. Yeah I was reminded when I was first finding my way to Homecoming while playing off a hotspot with less than wonderful internet that Live was written when dial up was still a thing. Sometimes old isn't all bad.
