  1. While story content at any level would be great if resource intensive what's being asked for, I believe, is more variety in level 50 (high level) zone mobs, in particular in and around Portal Corp.
  2. For me the bio or lack thereof is often related to why the character was created. Some most definitely have an origin story and background. Others were created to see how X or Y or X/Y power sets work and a backstory doesn't really exist though I may develop one over time. The some what unfortunate commonality is even if they have an extensive story is it rarely gets written out in the bio. I just want to get in game and continue the story (or see how the sets play). But every now and then I get motivated 🙂
  3. Never played in a game where that was the case, but that is definitely what I see pointed out as the cause for this concern in CoX.
  4. On basic IO's I'd tend to slot recharge to get my traps downtime as short as can. Until getting into sets (and moving towards builds like the ones upthread) the unenhanced values for the various trap debuffs/mez are strong enough that I'd prioritize getting them ready for the next spawn.
  5. This 'picture' is making me think back on a team a Corruptor of mine was on. 6 Masterminds with 6 pets apiece. I won't even try to figure out those odds, but 43 chances to proc should see one long streak of proc goodness.
  6. Yes there is a "dot" you can toggle on to include it in the displayed stats. This might get tricky though if, for example, you have Tactics in the build 6 slotted with Gaussian's. Toggled 'on' it will have the benefits of the proc in your stats. But toggled off and it not only won't display the procs effects but won't include the buff from running Tactics either. Unsure if there's a way to get just the Tactics buff short of unslotting the proc temporarily (and note you'll also lose the 6 slot defense bonuses doing so). Can't use Mids to see if that's possible somehow. PS: if while working on a build what I'd probably do is use the ability to flip to the alternate slotting (missing the proc, but the same to hit, endurance etc in Tactics) to check what to hit values I'm getting and how that effected my accuracy in other powers and flip back to the 6 slotted (actual) build to check out defense numbers etc..
  7. The idea Empathy's heals break stealth and healing causes aggro both like to crop up from time to time. I leveled 6 Empaths to 50 on Live (and had one of nearly every secondary in progress) and 1 here on HC before my computer went and died. I've never seen any strong or clear evidence of either being true, though I admit I've never rigorously tested either notion. That said some healing type powers will cause issues but it's because those powers have additional effects, not because of the healing component. Two that come to mind are Twilights Grasp and Transfusion.
  8. Interesting, I know my Emp/Rad/Dark experienced similar behavior. But this was a long way back on Live, well before Sunset was even on the horizon and the tics of damage I took as a level 50 were nowhere near as much albeit relative large compared to the amount vs appropriate foes. Something like 6/tic vs 1/tic. Never occurred to me it might be a bug or has something changed in between? Edit: And yes I was lvl 50 clowning around in AP vs Skulls and Hellions
  9. First quick thought. Make sure the same things are active in both builds. I've seen folks have a power being counted that has a build up type proc. Or something like Soul Drain is active but set for 10 in range instead of 1 etc.
  10. Very, the 801 series (801.0 thru 801.3) is basically designed to stress various forms of mitigation up to and including "the kitchen sink". Any limits you place on yourself are just that, self imposed. So temp powers, inspires, kb/kd, pulling, war burg nukes, kiting, ... the sink, nothing is "off limits" unless you want it to be.
  11. There are several Pain/Sonic builds in a thread down this page which should give you a place to start with Pain powers. I'd love to work up a build (or 5) but I've only got a phone for internet these days. Likewise I'd hunt down a thread about defender water blast and use that as a basis for the blast side of the basis. Even if none of the builds are actually Pain/Water they should give you a solid idea of which powers in each get slots and with what sets see use.
  12. I can't look in Mids to see what exactly you're seeing and in general you are correct (i.e. The Rule of Five). However, it's not the numerical value the Rule applies to but what it's called --> Large, or Tiny or Huge. This is why a build might appear to exceed the limit with 7.5% recharge bonus. The LotG is named differently than the same value appearing for example in Panacea so you could end up with 10 7.5% bonuses. I am not aware of the same 'loop hole' existing for the 10% value but I'm also not as familiar with some of the newer sets in which this might occur.
  13. No to removing aggro caps. Perhaps a slight boost to a Tanks cap, because it's their thing. But n8o to anyone herding maps worth of mobs and holding their aggro. Not sure how the changes to accuracy and to hit would improve anything especially for the massive reworking that would be required.
  14. It's been awhile since I've used it in game but iirc the KB is only a chance to happen (per archived CoD 5% chance). Most of what you see is the Repel effect. Absolutely no expert on procs but pretty sure the chance for KB, combined with toggle AoE makes for pretty unreliable proc rate.
  15. Yes if they are already placed either using unslotters or via a respec. Then if either not placed or successfully unslotted use your email to move them to the character you wish to use them on.
  16. Or Earth Control or ... being the lone Corruptor on a 6 Mastermind 1 Corruptor late 30's team. 42 other bodies bouncing around didn't exactly leave clear lines of view, yaaah! for tab target.
  17. Agree with post overall. Just wanted to give a shout out to the Devs for putting together the game we all love so much and somehow manages the vast majority of the time to handle teams/players as diverse as the comic ones above represent. As a long time GM in the tabletop realm I know exactly how near impossible this can be to pull off (especially when both are present in your current team).
  18. +400% damage and -300% resistance, nuts indeed. Grabbed Electric Fence on my Emp/Sonic on Live after an all defender ITF where we spent way too much time chasing Rommy all over the hills and dales.
  19. It's a level related thing. Lvl 50 = .85, at lvl 52 it bumps to .86 and again at lvl 54 it's up to .87 And that resistance scales downward as well. Dr Vahz in Posi 2 is some where in low 70% Check out the HCwiki page "archvillain" Edit: probably something along those lines in what @Uun linked I'm guessing but my phone doesn't really want to follow the link in a timely fashion
  20. Thank you for the correction. Reread what I could find and I have to agree with the writer/editor, some of it makes my head hurt. Thinking I got myself confused by an earlier part in the Wiki article as it doesn't specifically list resistance debuffs as being effected but the portion of the article talking about resistance (and how they specifically are resisted) makes it clearer how it works.
  21. Are you doing SO's only, or only if you decide you like the character and at 50? What difficulty are you trying to run on? If just running SO's I would slot less for damage in your cc powers. In particular I would slot your mez powers for their mez effects, let your Assault powers do the damage. I'd consider 2 acc, 2 endred, 2 mez to help with endurance usage and acc issues. You could go 1 acc if fighting even level mobs of if 1) slot a Kismet +6% or run Tactics (single slot with 1 endred). Yes that's a toggle on top of end woes but hopefully 2 endred per power will have you come out ahead overall. Slots can come from Hover and Combat Jumping, adding to their defense isn't really helping much, especially the 3rd defense SO, ED/diminishing returns will make that added defense tiny. If IO's aren't completely off the table slot a Perf Shifter +end for the 3rd slot in Stamina. Again ED makes this a better choice. And slot a Miracle and Numina's uniques in Health (the equivalent of adding another unenhanced Stamina to the build). Edit: assuming of course the Dom version hasn't been deleted.

Yeah my Claws/SR was set up for most of her attacks being around 90 to 95% accuracy vs +4s in Mids (instead of 48% set to 39%) The exception being Follow Up (a bit over 95%), which if it hits put me safely over 95% across the board, nevermind double stacking its To Hit buff. And that's without a level shift, I exemplar too much to rely on that.
  23. This, my Claws/SR has minimal issues, chews them up readily. Though I do recall seeing some of the biggest defense debuffs in my attributes monitor that I've seen including sitting in piles of Cimerorans. If you can call 3 to 4% 'big'. Enough I guess to make me turn on Maneuvers which is generally toggled off solo (I'm right around 46% w/o, 49'ish with) @KaizenSozeThe arc(s) you mention were created by @Linea
  24. This thread is really making me want to move to say the Arctic or something. If the Murder Hornets and Fuzzy Puss Caterpillars don't get me first the plant life will ... planet is trying to kill us before we kill it I'm certain.
