  1. If I remember correctly you can turn off the effects of the defender damage buff in Mids'. Perhaps even scale it for team size (1,2,3,4+) to see that accounted for in Mids'.
  2. Which is a limit to pylon testing vs testing vs mobs. With mobs some of your dps is basically wasted when your foes has a sliver left. That can only happen once vs a pylon. So it becomes a judgement on how often you overkill your foe and if the crits speed kill time (1 or 2 shots vs 3+) against mobs measured against the accumulated extra damage against hard targets (GM's, AV's, etc.) measured as pylon times/dps.
  3. Picture please, can't use Mids' or get in game and now you all are driving me nuts to see it.😜
  4. Yeah I was reminded when I was first finding my way to Homecoming while playing off a hotspot with less than wonderful internet that Live was written when dial up was still a thing. Sometimes old isn't all bad.
  5. Archetype Origin ... Enhancement set for a specific Archetype.
  6. Maybe she's related to Azuria? That woman can't keep track of anything.
  7. Or put another way an almost 50% reduction to incoming damage
  8. I would agree to buffing. Seems odd to me (and speaking as a long time offender type) odd that Resurrect provides so little benefit to either the target or team compared to other Resurrection powers in such a buff/healing focused set. Resurrect falls just behind usefulness to an Empath and team as Elude is to an /SR. I very rarely take it on my numerous Empaths. Between combining inspires, self-Rezzing powers, hospital (+ease of returning to the battle after use), temp/p2w powers, etc., it's basically a sacrificial (or concept driven) power pick when taken. That said the recharge/cool down would need a pretty fair reduction if range was the only other aspect modified for it to become something other than a concept power choice. I usually recommend placing a endred in the power if taken as the end cost is substantial (26). Maybe include end cost in any buff to Resurrect.
  9. I've found an Elec/Fire to be an AoE beast ... something like 7 AoE's in the build I had on Live. I was leveling the same on HC when the computer died. Could already see how the sustain power was going to make the very end hungry build much happier. Definitely looking forward to playing him again.
  10. On the Empathy/Psy Blast ... recharge and more recharge on a team build. The team plus inspires and high recharge on Regeneration Aura will go a long way on keeping you upright. Smaller team (3 and under) then I'd start thinking defense and resistance if aiming at harder/larger mobs as a norm.
  11. I'd say scrapper, best fit /SR. As for the using the shadows and darkness bit I don't find that Stalker-ish as much as tactical, let's make them blind as well. But mostly he's Daredevil/Daredevil. Like most literary characters he was created outside of any specific game system. All we can do is have fun debating whether he's a Scrapper, Stalker, or other as a best fit to our mindseye vision of him.
  12. Sorry we really shouldn't get bogged down over a name ... but I'd be all over a innate +100% to hit bonus. 🤪
  13. I find it build dependent ... even on the same character. One thing I can say is if I have one I almost certainly have the other in the build. It's rare to have just one of the two in a build. But my defenders and controllers almost always focus on recharge first and foremost in their primary builds.
  14. I'm with Greycat. If it's to be an EAT then it should be a Praetorian story line based one. Just not sure how I feel about "PEATs" 😜. I'm not anywhere currently familiar enough with the story line these days to know just how much work that would involve ... beyond the obvious creation of one, or likely more, new archetypes. Certainly it is far more work than coming up with reasons why HEATs and VEATs might be "visiting".
  15. In the long run with a post 50 build I've found neither endurance or a self heal a concern. Passive regen takes care of regaining health (along with inspires) and my main (Claws/SR) can basically attack non-stop. That said DM does offer Siphon Life which would, particularly while leveling, help when the rng gets brutal on you.
  16. Ouroboros, just ask someone in game to drop a portal for you. Or run Doc Delilah's arc in Faultline or about a gazillion other ways to get there seems like. You can run just about any story arc you have out leveled as a "flashback" from there.
  17. Pong and a channel changer for the state of the art black and white that went kathunk when used. And nightmares from "The Lights of Zetar"
  18. Good news! Most of you make me feel old. Of course that's cause all you except a select few can "get off my lawn". I've broken the 6 decade mark. Woot, woot and a Rawr. 🥳
  19. My thoughts, I don't really feel SR needs much help even in the mid levels. That said getting Lucky/AoE defense earlier isn't something I'd object to or feel is problematic. I don't have a particular issue with end recovery, though some of that could be the IO +recovery/+end specials I get on pretty much every character fairly quick these days. The only thing I'd really like to see is something that at least puts Elude in the category of a potential choice in a build. Right now there's basically no reason to choose Elude outside of perhaps nostalgia.
  20. I do understand the appeal of a toggle, especially paired in a set with Enduring to pay for it. The advantage of a toggle early (constant mez protection) was largely mitigated by enabling PB to be clicked while mezzed to my mind, however. Stacking PB is marginally useful. About the only place I'd regularly find I need it is vs Rommy's rez which is mag 20 iirc. I rarely look to stack it otherwise and even there I usually break LOS. But if it were to change I'd be fine. Similarly Enduring is far more about early levels and pre-endgame/IO builds I don't feel any need at that point.
  21. Short? Well you could do what I did long way back and put 3 Centrioles in. Was somewhere in the area of 70ft iirc, then inventions and sets came along and I had to do something more reasonable 😁.
  22. Not quite. The game will look at both values and use your best defense vs the attack. So it will look at both your S/L and Ranged defense then use which ever is greater. So it's more about covering against other positions (melee or aoe) which might be S/L or other types which might not be ranged (F,C,E,N). S/L is usually chosen because they are the most common damage types, most all epic def armors cover at least S/L and it will stack with Tough which is usually in such builds Ugh, brain no work right ... Tough is resistance not defence even if it gets the +3% defense uniques.
  23. Just be careful in those 'garden rooms' Cacti and naked don't mix unless you're in Granite at the time 😜
  24. And despite all that, an SG mate and I regularly ran it via Oroboros for the merits. But we did become intimately familiar with what we could skip/stealth, where ambushes occurred, combined with being exemped, having travel powers etc it didn't take hours. A far different experience from doing it the first time many issues prior with a level 13ish well before Inventions came along.
  25. You want to stack scaling regen and the ability to make Elude perma plus adding +recovery (elsewhere or more in Elude?) and you're wondering if that would make /SR overpowered? I have to be missing (or misunderstanding) something. Edit: That seems either highly redundant (I can already attack non-stop without using CP, have 2100+ health without several new IOs incorporated and a Regen pre Incarnate over 30/sec. Or utterly build revamping/OP on my scrapper.
