I also have found some macros that will automatically disappear or mutate. It seem very random but it might be something that is trying to avoid an exploit. One that always stops functioning for me when I copy-and-paste is a very simple macro. /macro x "petcomall dismiss" I can type it, and it stays. I copy-and-paste it, and it stops functioning at some point. This one is very odd as I can see no way that dismissing all pets can be an exploit. Is there some reason that you are changing trays and then specifically calling a power by name? I mean it wouldn't require a tray flip if you are calling the power by name. I have several macros with $$ that copy-and-paste into new characters all the time that never fail to function. /macro Heal "inspexec_name respite$$inspexec_name dramatic_improvement$$inspexec_name resurgence" (I have following saved with as standard for some sgs with set emotes, "base related comment", and their passcode/"word-#') /macro base "emote emotename$$local base related comment$$enterbasefrompasscode word-#" (the next two I tend to edit in the chat window to fit the emote to the current character) /macro Grat "team Gratz!$$e clap" /macro Thks "team Thanks!$$e Victory" (the next two I edit in the chat window to go to the innocent bystander or hero costume and character related costume change emote where tray 9 as my character's innocent bystander powers and the tray flip and costume change into superhero form. The macro to revert back into IB [innocent bystander] mode I put in another tray that holds my various costume change - where I also place a duplicate of the macro to change to super hero mode) /macro IB "cce # ccemote$$goto_tray 9" /macro Super "cce # ccemote$$goto_tray 1"

AI Overview The term "the balance and the Cosmic All" in the context of the Akashic Brotherhood refers to their core philosophy and magical paradigm within the World of Darkness roleplaying game, Mage: The Ascension. It encompasses their belief in achieving enlightenment and magical power through aligning oneself with the natural flow of life, balancing mind and body, and understanding the interconnectedness of all things. The Akashic Brotherhood's pursuit of this balance is intertwined with their mastery of "Do", a martial art and philosophy focused on physical and mental discipline. Here's a more detailed breakdown: 1. The Akashic Brotherhood: They are a Tradition of mages who believe that magic stems from the natural world and the interconnectedness of all things, rather than from some external force or source of power. Their core belief is that magic is a manifestation of the natural flow of life and that enlightenment is achieved by aligning oneself with this flow. They are known for their focus on martial arts, particularly the practice of "Do", which emphasizes physical and mental discipline and balance. In the World of Darkness, they are one of the nine Traditions of mages, each with their unique paradigm and magical practices. 2. "Do" and its significance: "Do" is more than just a fighting style; it's a way of life that emphasizes balance and harmony with the natural world. It involves proper nutrition, exercise, sleep, and a mindful approach to all aspects of life, including thought, creation, and destruction. The goal of Do practitioners is to achieve a state of equilibrium within themselves and their environment. 3. The Cosmic All and the Akashic Records: The Akashic Brotherhood believes in the existence of a universal archive of information known as the Akashic Records, which contains the history of all souls and their experiences. This archive is often referred to as the Cosmic All, representing the totality of existence and the interconnectedness of all beings. By tapping into the Akashic Records, Akashic mages can gain access to a vast amount of knowledge and understanding. 4. The Balance: The balance, as understood by the Akashic Brotherhood, is the harmonious interplay between various aspects of existence, such as mind and body, stillness and motion, and the individual and the universe. They strive to achieve this balance through the practice of Do and by understanding the interconnectedness of all things through the Cosmic All. Achieving this balance is crucial for their magical practice and their path to enlightenment. In essence, the Akashic Brotherhood's philosophy revolves around achieving a state of balance and enlightenment by aligning oneself with the natural flow of life and understanding the interconnectedness of all things through the Cosmic All and the Akashic Records, all while mastering the art of Do.

Having more influence than you need to keep up with whatever you want your characters to have on hand and when you need it when/if you make a new "alt". Rich - having a great deal of money or assets; wealthy. I do consider that part of my account's wealth. Not full of either. It seems to be kind of a waste for that much stuff to sit around. But I will admit, that I have a sg base that only has Winter set enhancements stored in it. (procured the last time there was a sale on Winter card packs via drops from those packs) By "on your toon", do you mean slotted or in their enhancement tray? I guess you mean "slotted". I'm never going to pull enhances off of character that are slotted so that I can sell them. My characters trays are sometime full with enhancements to load in to my full AH slots once slots are available for slotting. Those enhancements are definitely part of my account's weath. I don't. And that includes the merits from card packs that haven't been move to a character. When a player doesn't have to worry about influence, I would consider that to be "rich".

More than one. That is for sure.

CoV was CoH 2. City of Heroes: Going Rogue was CoH 3 So I would not say "what are the chances", but instead "done did that". Since NCSoft owns the rights and thought CoH, CoV, and CoH:GR weren't making enough money for them, the local Korean gamers weren't into it, and sunset CoH even though the were making a profit ... do you really think they are going to release a CoH 2 (as you call it) or let some other company do it? ... and if they did, how many of us would move from this wonderful totally free to play game to F2P with possibly some kind of subscription plan and tons of microtransactions? Why would you want to make it happen? Kickstarter does seem to be a good way to leech money from people. I will give you that.

Because, unlike Champions (from when people actually sat around a table [or on the furniture in the same room] and played role-playing games), I can't mini-max powers that fit my character conception. If you mini-max in CoH, you are mini-maxing the power picks and the enhancements. Sure you can say that your character conforms to that mini-maxing, but that isn't building the character on the character conception as far as I am concerned. If you feel you can mini-max to fit your character conception, then more power to you.

I use SO mez enhancements on most powers that have the ability to slot them. Range? I don't slot'em. When I work to enhance range, it is mainly on Sentinels through ATOs. (https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Opportunity_Strikes slot two for 7.5% x3 = 22.5%) + (https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Sentinel's_Ward slot three for 7.5% x 2 = 15%) = 37.5% If you want to use Mids, you get what you get. Mini-maxing turned into a cookie-cutter. I don't use Mids, I "build" by character conception. I'm not going to use a cold proc on a character that doesn't have an excuse to have cold power. Likewise for other procs with visual FX.

I see no real reason that the swords or punches couldn't be used across all of the sets that have both as part of them other than the animation time might consume more time than is intended for the attack on the faster executed/faster recharging attacks. There is a minimal or no DEVs working on animations at this point as far as I can tell, so there is no telling when there could be time to convert sword animations to appropriate animation for the activation time, so if it was done it would be using the current animations that are available (if I'm understanding what is going on at this point on the DEV side correctly) The punch animations would probably be shorter than intended, but would have the same activation time (I think most of the sword attacks are slower than some of the punch animations). Either way, it should have very little effect during what little PvP goes on ... I would guess at least.

If I'm understanding what is going on correctly, you are soloing. Is that correct? Soloing is more doable than it once was, but CoH was designed intentionally for teaming. If you are stuck soloing for whatever reason, there are things that can help while soloing with pretty much every archetype ... and you seem to be trying some of them, but there things that you can do to tweak that. As far as pulling, When you pull, pull minions. If you pull LTs or bosses that tends to agro the whole group. When you pull, make sure that all LTs or Boss are out of the LoS (line of sight). Once you pull, run back behind a corner or two. https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Teleportation#Teleport_Target can be very useful as you can pull from around corners and even through walls (which can make the mobs much further away). Alway pull minions that are away from any LT or bosses. Best to slot 1 or 2 acc in the power to insure a good pull to at least teleport that target to your location before the rest of the group gets to you. If an enemy gets into melee range, fall back to the next corner. if you get pushed back to the door and it looks like you are going to fall, go out the door or down the elevator. Generally, by the time you rest up the mob will have started to retreat. If you go in and you see this happening, wait until those in front go around a corner and hit the one at the back of the line (hopefully, they aren't an LT or boss). As far as enhancements go, people play differently. I don't like missing, so I tend to slot all powers that need accuracy in order to hit with 2 accuracies before anything else. Why? If my character misses, they still use the endurance and consume time waiting for the power to recharge again before having the chance to do damage (which might miss again). As far as level of foes, when you go to a new zone, the enemies are going to tend to be higher than you might think that they should be. That is intentional. It is to force you to respect your enemy and, as you level up, have a sense of accomplishment when you can easily whoop-up on enemies that seem to be invincible. One way to deal with this is to take a detour off of that contact (check the wiki to see what their level range is if you don't want to outlevel the contact - you can turn off XP temporarily if need be to avoid outleveling a contact) and run other missions. From the villian-side, your best best would be newspaper missions; run some until you level up once and then go back to the mission and they will be one level lower. If you are running without your notoriety turned up, by the time you get to mid-level for the contact you should be able to handle most of the missions without falling in battle (as long as you are careful and not trying to steam-roll it). So you might want to just go ahead and run newspaper missions until you are mid-level for that contact and then see how the enemy difficulty looks. I do suggest trying to call out on /LFG for back up if you need it. A good amount of the time, there are people out there that are willing to help (team up) ... honestly, more likely if you are a hero, but that is the price of villainy.

It is already implemented. The "account-wide bank that [can be used as] an inf repository" is in-game email.

You know how some IO sets only have one unique enhancement?
UltraAlt replied to kelika2's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Honestly, I think most of the time that I've seen Nova used, it takes out a majority if not all of the enemy grouping that it was unleashed on. Sleep has historically been one. I guess you can technically group https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Mind_Control#Telekinesis into knockback. Slow is shunned over other secondary effects. Fear to some extent. .... and, of course, that dreaded XP leaching confuse. I think to get the most out of any power set or archetype that you need to learn how to get the most out of it. All of the archetypes and power sets play differently. Is there obviously more of a learning curve with knockback? Wasn't for me, but I can grant that for many players that knockback would be more difficult to come to grasp with than than DoT. And I am against that. The game already gives you options to convert knockback to knockdown. We are retreading ground that we have already covered. Once the discussion starts repeating, one must admit to it and say what has been discussed as been discussed. There are differences of opinion, and we have shared them on this topic. Good discussion. -
A controversial topic: is it time to make all items free?
UltraAlt replied to Yomo Kimyata's topic in The Market
I agree that the suggestion was for the game to do it, but I think that would be more likely to incentivize players to make multiple accounts than other players providing it. Agreed. This is much like the payers that want to be able to automatically defeat everything so that they can read the game like a novel. Some players well ... -

UltraAlt replied to kelika2's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I find some powers on auto-fire annoying. (but, yeah, I get your point) Thanks for letting me know. I find that those that play melee characters - especially level 50's - to be the one complaining about knockback. I don't think I have ever had a player on Homecoming complain on a team about knockback that weren't playing a level 50 of the time. And you have a two IO set enhancement choices that you can slot in the powers to turn KB to KD to change that if you want. One of them can be slotted in multiple powers. That is your choice as well. The options there there. If you don't want to use the enhancements to turn KB to KD or sets with knockback at all, that is your choice. The IO set enhancement that can be slotted in multiple powers isn't all that expensive comparatively, even lower if you are willing to have patience until they drop, and even lower if you are willing to take the time to create one, sell it, and buy a new Attuned one at a lower price than you sell the one that you crafted (and may very well make a profit doing so). Time consuming, yes, but you can set that up on character that you have now and then when you have enough of them, then you can create your energy blaster ... if you really want to play one (but they are way more fun and have increased survivability with the knockback). -
A controversial topic: is it time to make all items free?
UltraAlt replied to Yomo Kimyata's topic in The Market
I haven't seen this happening. Most of the people that give out influence keep track of globals. So I guess it would be a matter of how many accounts people be willing to make for seed money and if there is a rash of those asking for seed money. Keep in mind that a majority of the players likely don't ever come to the forums for more than setting up an account and then only returning to ask questions about things that they can't get answers for in the game. They will never read this post. I do that as well. I give them about 300 million at this point, so giving out some random inf or item to some random player isn't really hurting me. I agree I don't want my generosity to be abused. I hopefully have avoided that. But the people that would do that are probably generating a lot of karma for themselves in many other ways with their life choices. -
A controversial topic: is it time to make all items free?
UltraAlt replied to Yomo Kimyata's topic in The Market
It was launched with an in-game economy. The game always had "influence" and the purchasing of enhancements and insps from venders. And the game was released with a request channel; which is defined in the original CoH manual as "This channel is reserved for those that wish to trade, buy, or sell." I agree it wasn't launched with the /ah market system which was launched when IO crafting was released. -
Remove the "say" command (say command)
UltraAlt replied to UltraAlt's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Haven't thought of that. I would suggest that the battlecry be changed to /local I mean that is the point of a battle cry - to yell it at the people that are directly around you and not to yell it into a radio/cell phone/etc. -

And this happened for me. Not because the "game" itself dropped an email to me in-game with influence, but another player a gave me like 10-30 million - which was my capital seed. I, in turn, as they say "paid it forward" and have given far more than that to others in the game over time. Heck, pretty often I gave some influence to players when they comment on not having enough or just email them an item sometimes (as the character on am on happens to be crafting what they are looking for). If someone reaches out to the other heroes in-game, heroes tend to come to the rescue. At least, that is my experience.
