Yeah. IMO, Grounded is Electric's Achilles' heel. 15 mag knockback protection when you have to slot additional KB protection so you don't get knocked back while jumping or flying means nothing, and 6 mag immobilization protection on a Brute or Tanker just isn't enough as you get immobilized by more than that if you so much as sneeze. When Electric was the only armor set in the game that provided good energy resistance, that was one thing. Now that there's competition with Rad Armor, the fault in Electric (which is Grounded), really stands out.

Level 50 Hero trying to get villain radio missions.
Apparition replied to wjrasmussen's topic in General Discussion
Step 1: Go to Pocket D. Step 2: Talk with Null the Gull (who sits on top of a box truck on the red side), and change your alignment to Vigilante. Step 3: Go to a SG base and go to Grandville. When you come out of Grandville, you'll get a contact: Wiggy the Brit Step 4: Talk with Wiggy the Brit and get newspaper missions. Newspaper missions are the red side equivalent of radio missions. Or, since you specifically want the mayhem missions: Step 1: Go to Brickstown as a hero. Step 2: Run the Brickstown SSA at x4 by talking with Dakota Berg, (on your minimap). Congrats, you now have the Bloody Hands badge. Step 3: Go to Pocket D. Step 4: Talk with Null the Gull (who sits on top of a box truck on the red side), and change your alignment to Rogue. Step 5: Exit Pocket D to Port Oakes. You should now have a Lord Schweinzer immediately on your minimap. Step 6: Talk with Lord Schweinzer. He will offer you all of the mayhem missions. -
Uhh... The Matrix room was only reachable through map holes on live, but that is not the case on Homecoming. SCoRE made the Matrix room in PI accessible by entering any door inside the PI arena. I'm just asking that if there is a Matrix room in Port Oakes, if they would consider making it available there like they did PI. It would be a nice social space for red side like it occasionally is blue side. That's all.

Yeah, Electric Armor is great on Brutes for many different reasons. I find it difficult to play melee on Homecoming these days, but on live I had a ton of Brutes and most of those were Electric Armor. Like Bopper said, you can easily cap S/L/E. You can even cap Fire and fire farm if you want. +20% recharge is great. It has a nice heal. The damage aura feeds into Brute's Fury. You get a very nice endurance discount, and complete endurance drain protection which is great for tanking the MLTF (among other things). It's also great for tanking Incarnate trials.

As a raid leader, I can tell you from two years experience that adding people while a raid is underway is a PITA. In addition to keeping an eye on everyone in the league, making sure people are where they are supposed to be, making sure that people are doing what they are supposed to be doing, and then do whatever it is you are supposed to be doing, you also have to invite people, move them to the correct team, and make sure that they know what’s going on and what to do. It’s three additional things to worry about on top of everything else.

I know that "the Matrix room" in Peregrine Island is actually an older version of the arena waiting room that is underneath the arena. I also know that there was one in Galaxy City and Talos Island as well, but they were mostly inaccessible. Peregrine Island's "Matrix room" was only accessible due to geometry holes back on live. Is there a "Matrix room" in Port Oakes? I know that the arena in Port Oakes was added two issues after the arenas in Galaxy City, Talos Island, and Peregrine Island, so there may not be. But... if there is, would there be any possibility of making that accessible like the one in Peregrine Island?

Considering that it shows steady growth in the 100,000+ range between 2015 and 2018, take any information from that site with a handful of very large grains of salt.

Evasive Maneuvers doesn't seem to provide -Fly protection?

Do you play Heroes, villains, or Praetorians?
Apparition replied to UltraAlt's topic in General Discussion
That doesn't fit into his view of the game. UltraAlt has gone into a few anti-red side rants over the past several months, and thinks that those who primarily play villains are an insignificant portion of the player base who should be siloed away on one shard so blue side players on other shards don't have to see them nor interact with them. This poll and thread is just an attempt to reinforce his view. -
Now is a good opportunity to check out another shard until Reunion comes back up. Torchbearer has a very sizable European player base.

Turnstile Gets Cranky With About 45 People in the League
Apparition replied to Apparition's topic in Bug Reports
Ahh, I know what you're talking about. The Indomitable shard runs instanced MSRs as well. However, they form it up a bit differently than instanced MSRs are formed on Excelsior and Torchbearer. Instead of inviting everyone to the instanced MSR individually like is done on Excelsior and Torchbearer, the Indomitable raid leaders invite people to their raids in teams. They have separate teams formed in the RWZ, then when a team is full the raid leader already in the instance invites the whole team to the league. However, if one person on that team does not have the Member of Vanguard badge, then it prevents the whole team from entering the raid instance. Then everyone else on the team has to either zone or relog to clear it. There are no issues inviting a whole team however if everyone on the team has the Member of Vanguard badge. Yeah, it would be nice if that issue gets resolved as well. In the meantime, you can get around it by just inviting everyone individually which is how I've always done it. -
Turnstile Gets Cranky With About 45 People in the League
Apparition replied to Apparition's topic in Bug Reports
Hrm. I've never had "invite to league" bug out on me when I use it. It automatically puts the player on your team if your team isn't full, and basically acts like "invite to team." That's actually probably a good thing, because there's a nasty bug with the zone MSRs where people who are invited to league but not invited to a team may not actually get put on a team and will not be lackeyed up to level 49 if below that level, and won't receive nearly as many Vanguard merits. The league window will show the person on a team, but if that person opens up the team window, it will show that the person is not actually on a team. That bug hit me all of the time on zone MSRs on Excelsior and I constantly would only get about 500 Vanguard merits at the end of the raid, since the game only counted the Rikti I personally damaged. Yes, both the zone MSRs and instanced MSRs are bugged. Pick your poison. As far as the drop and then trying to rejoin, I think that's connected to the issue in the original post. IIRC, there were about 45 people on the league when three people crashed two Fridays ago. When they tried to rejoin, they received the "event already finished" message when it wasn't. -
I have been running instanced Rikti mothership raids since October 2019. On Excelsior, I average four or five full teams. It’s rare for me to get more than 40 people. I think only about a half dozen times out of a few hundred MSRs on Excelsior have I managed to get 45 or more people. The times I did though, the turnstile started acting up, and the last couple of people invited either received the message that the event has already completed (when it hasn’t), or they joined the instance and were immediately booted right back out. Lately, a friend of mine and I have been leading instanced MSRs on Torchbearer. Unlike Excelsior, those do tend to get more than 40 people. All goes well, until we get to around 44-45 people. The turnstile will start acting up, and the last couple of people invited will either receive the message that the event has already completed (when it hasn’t), or they will join the instance and be immediately booted right back out. The turnstile seems like it can’t really handle six full teams. Like I said, it’s not really an issue on Excelsior because there are numerous MSRs ran every day, so mine only attract four or five teams. However, it is an issue on Torchbearer where they do attract six teams of people. I am bringing this up because not only is it an issue with instanced MSRs, but I also know that instanced Hamidon raids were at least planned at one point. Hamidon raids are more popular than mothership raids since the rewards are considered to be vastly better. If this bug is not fixed and an instanced Hamidon raid comes to be, there are going to be some cranky players.

Just tried all of the new options on Brave Browser for iPadOS without any issues.

Please remind me how to get the Knight Errant badge.
Apparition replied to Col. Kernel's topic in Badges
That is no longer the case as of last Tuesday. As @AboveTheChemist noted above your post, the Paladin event was reverted to the Issue 23 version and Kings Row’s soft cap was bumped back up. -
No thank you. As Greycat already mentioned, the number of bombs required for Demolitionist was already lowered from 25 to ten. That's enough. Considering that there is a minimum of four mothership raids per day on Excelsior (reminder, that's a minimum), it's easy enough.

Yeah, and it’s not like the first floor of the AE buildings see much usage, especially outside of Atlas. Players are on the second floor, and I don’t expect mobs to take the elevator.
-
LOL. Paladin spawned 25 minutes later at the same spot, and just like before ran right in front of the AE building. I stopped him *just* before he got in front of the drone. So it looks like the Paladin that spawns next to the tram will always drone himself. It's just odd, 'cause I could have sworn that I used to regularly fight three Paladins simultaneously prior to sunset, but memory is a fickle thing.

I was bored tonight, flying around the Rogue Isles, when I got a notice: [PPD] Unusual Clockwork activity in Kings Row. I teleported to Kings Row, and found the spot where Paladin was being constructed: -1640 -42 1729 I just flew over and watched the construction, and eventually Paladin spawned. He took off like a dart with a bunch of his Clockwork buddies. He ran literally underneath the tram. I was waiting for him to get droned he was so close to the tram. Nope, he kept on going, still at full speed... right into the police drone in front of the AE building at: -1052 -41 329 Paladin literally droned himself, and then many of his Clockwork buddies that followed him wound up being droned as well, with a pile of Clockwork in front of the police drone. I definitely do not recall seeing that prior to sunset, although granted it's been nine years. I've been wondering why I haven't spotted a Paladin out since the event reversion, and now I'm beginning to understand why. @Faultline , the Paladin committing seppuku within a minute of spawning cannot be intended, I imagine?

Hi! Thanks for joining. You're my hostage!
Apparition replied to Snarky's topic in General Discussion
Most are, but after getting to level 50 and IOed out… seeing blue and white con mobs is just disappointing. It feels cheap. So I do speed runs at +2. -
What? You don't think giving all Dual Blades attacks an additional toxic damage DoT component is a swell idea?!

Paragon Studios (Matt Miller specifically), relied on good faith that people would not abuse the Mission Architect. Bwahahaha.

Apparition replied to Snarky's topic in General Discussion
-1 on a TF/SF is impossible. You can set it, but the game will put it at +0 anyhoo. FWIW, I run speed runs of level 50 TFs at +2 because I dislike seeing blue and white con mobs. -
Yep. It seems to be getting worse as time goes on. My guess is that newbies are attracted to Excelsior since it has the largest population by far, but then are caught up in some bad habits from the numerous AE/radio/newspaper farms. Besides, I have had complaints from people that I explain too much during TFs/SFs/Trials. Danged if you do, danged if you don’t.
