  1. Honestly, if there are going to be entrances added to Mercy Island and Atlas Park, and there must be entrances removed, then I'd rather see the Kings Row and Port Oakes entrances removed. It makes little sense to have two lowbie entrances and remove the mid-level entrances.
  2. It's a harmful suggestion intended to segregate the player population. On top of that, it was brought up months ago and thoroughly shot down. FWIW, I exclusively play red and gold sides. I do not play blue side. There may be more blue side content, but I find the vast majority of it extremely dull and boring with some exceptions, (mainly the Faultline and Croatoa story arcs).
  3. Resolved: The minimum level for the LGTF has been raised back up to level 45+ in the new beta. Thank you, Homecoming developers!
  4. When you brought this up in the Excelsior shard forum a few months ago, it was pointed out to you that every shard is the red shard. This game is both City of Heroes and City of Villains, not one nor the other. There should be a red side population on each and every shard. Just because you don't like red side and only consider this game to be City of Heroes doesn't mean that red side players should be sequestered off to one shard. Please stop it with this nonsense.
  5. You didn't see anyone +3 in Atlas nor The Hive. +3 is only displayed in Pocket D, Ouroboros, Dark Astoria (sans Echo), and Echo Plaza.
  6. Well unfortunately, as expected, Calvin Scott bugged out on me again. After finishing all of Imperial City, I tried calling Calvin Scott but he only offered a breadcrumb mission to Crow and the start of his own story arc. So unfortunately I don't get the breadcrumb mission for Aaron Walker. The good news however, is that Praetor Marchand will indeed talk with me! So there is that.
  7. It is simply amazing how many people stopped playing City of Heroes years prior to sunset, come back with Homecoming, and then blame/credit SCoRE and/or Homecoming with changes that were made prior to sunset. But I digress.
  8. That's exactly it. Evasive Maneuvers retained the internal name Afterburner so people wouldn't have to respec when Page Two launched. The new Afterburner uses the internal name Fly_Boost.
  9. /petcom_all Dismiss
  10. That's been a bug since Homecoming started. You have to dismiss your pets twice, and then resummon them.
  11. There was another very similar thread, I started it. :P I asked to remove the "on the ground" requirement for the knockback protection and immobilization protection, but it was decided that the requirement was too thematic to remove. As @siolfir pointed out, it adds +energy resistance (which is pointless), +negative energy resistance (helpful in rare situations), and endurance drain protection (which honestly is the only reason I can see to still take Grounded). About two thirds of my characters don't have Combat Jumping. It's nice to have, but not nearly a requirement IMO. Every one of my characters takes Fly, Hover, Evasive Maneuvers, and either Speed of Sound or Super Speed so I usually just don't have the room for it. In my Electric Armor Tanker's build, I legitimately did not have room for Combat Jumping in the build. But since I was constantly immobilized, I had to respec into it... by replacing Hasten. Yep. I had to dump Hasten for Combat Jumping as there was just no room in the build at all. Thankfully, the secondary is Staff, so between the +recharge from Form of the Mind and the Force Feedback procs in three attacks it isn't bad.
  12. That is the crux of the issue. As you said, testing identically or nearly identically slotting Brutes and Tankers accomplishes nothing. A Brute slotted for survivability would be overkill on a Tanker, while a Tanker can load up on damage procs without impacting survivability. IMO, damage procs need to be reined in, the Tanker damage modifier lowered to 0.85, and either the Brute damage cap increased back to 775% or have Fury increase by 3% like olden times.
  13. Please increase the immobilization protection for Electric Armor’s grounded. I understand that the knockback protection and immobilization protection only while on the ground is considered thematic (although I disagree), but even the immobilization protection while on the ground is pretty useless. I tried playing an Electric Armor Tanker without Combat Jumping and kept getting immobilized even while on the ground. By Council, nonetheless. Six points of immobilization protection just doesn’t cut it, especially on a Tanker. It really gets my goat that I had to respec into Combat Jumping for immobilization protection, in addition to already having slotted an additional twelve points of knockback protection via IO enhancements when I took a power that is supposed to offer knockback and immobilization protection. It seriously makes me wonder why bother taking Grounded in the first place.
  14. Really, that’s when you know that the thread is over and it is time to move on.
  15. The best is seeing the Tanker hesitate to jump into a mob, saying "Screw it," on my Blaster or Corruptor, and jump in. :P
  16. It is both. What you said is true, but it is also true that Defenders and Tankers can much more easily load up on damage procs without compromising (or at least not greatly compromising), their personal defenses than Corruptors and Brutes.
  17. I am soloing every single mission in Praetoria with a Dual Pistols/Sonic Manipulation Blaster, currently about halfway through Imperial City. It’s been a blast, pun intended. My character almost died a few times, but hasn’t yet. Dang Destroyers. I can’t wait to get to First Ward and Night Ward, and hug all of The Awakened and Animus Arcana with my Disruption Aura while unloading my guns on them. I am quite sure that my character will die a few times, but it will be fun.
  18. That would certainly be one way to get people to never play Brutes again. Regardless, it has already been said by developers that if the Brute resistance cap would ever be lowered, Tanker resistance cap would be lowered to match.
  19. You don’t even have to do that. On the upper right hand side next to the hamburger menu, there’s a switch. Hit it, and disable the mobile navigation bar.
  20. Dark Astoria was never meant to be a challenging zone. It was designed as a solo-friendly training wheels and an on-ramp towards Incarnate trials, which is the challenging content. It was never meant for full teams to run Dark Astoria content. The idea was if you have a full team, go run an eight person iTrial. If you want to play solo or have a small team, there's Dark Astoria.
  21. Now Brutes are generally considered among people I know to be a useless AT for everything but farming and Energy Aura, and general advice is to either roll a Tanker or Scrapper instead. The point of it all is that, yes, taken on its own, Brutes are fine. The problem is that nothing in the universe is on its own. It's always compared to something else. In the Brute's case, that's Tanker and Scrapper, which everyone I play with (veterans of the game for many, many years and have lead many Incarnate trials and raids, including myself), consider Scrappers and Tankers to better than Brutes. It's why you see so many more Tankers on raids and Incarnate trials these days than Brutes. Prior to sunset, about half of my characters were Brutes. The others were mostly Corruptors and Masterminds, with a scattering of Scrappers and Defenders for when I had to play blue side. Now on Homecoming I have exactly one non-farming Brute, a Radiation Melee/Energy Aura. I can't justify to myself to make anything other than Energy Aura Brutes knowing that numbers wise Tankers and Scrappers would be better, which is why I now mainly play non-melee characters.
  22. It's an opinion shared by Captain Powerhouse. He already declared a couple of years ago that no new Scrapper secondaries would have a taunt aura.
  23. No thank you. The game is easy enough as it is.
  24. Better taunt aura. I was more referring to Tankers though, since Tankers don’t get Energy Aura.
  25. Something needs to be done, either with Tankers (nerf), Brutes (buff), or a combination of both. Brutes right now are in a very bad place in the game for everything but farming. Quite a few people I know agree that the only legitimate reason to play a Brute ATM is for Energy Aura. Otherwise you are guaranteed to be better off playing either a Tanker or Scrapper.
