  1. I noticed over the past weekend that level 40+ missions have started sending you to Kallisti Wharf. Nice! However, not so nice on co-op teams. Friends of mine were running the Tina MacIntyre mission arc over the past weekend, and I joined as a Rogue. One of the door missions was in Kallisti Wharf. A friend of mine and I were both dumped from the team as soon as someone entered the door mission, with a message that we were unable to join. I suspect because Kallisti Wharf is a co-op zone, and it recognized us as villains. This needs to be looked into and rectified before more blue or red side missions are sending teams over to Kallisti Wharf.
  2. I very rarely do blue side missions on teams outside of task forces and trials. Friends of mine asked me to run the Tina MacIntyre mission arc with them over the past weekend however, and I joined. Out of stubbornness and red side pride, I refused to change my character’s alignment from Rogue. I was booted from the team about four times, whenever people on the team went to their SG base or Ouroboros. It was quite annoying and reminded me exactly why I only do task forces and trials blue side. Edit: I should also add that one mission was in Kallisti Wharf. When the mission owner entered the mission, I was booted from the team as well. I suspect because that Kallisti Wharf is a co-op zone, so it recognized me as a villain.
  3. I've never used the slash command/base macro. Not once. When my friends and I run the Synapse TF (ugh), it still "only" takes about a hour and fifteen minutes to a hour and a half at +1. That's without using the base macro. Things will be just fine.
  4. Blasters are masters of damage. Not ranged damage, damage. To play them to their full potential, you need to get in there and blap at least once in a while. No pain, no gain.
  5. This isn't just a super-hero game. It's a super-hero and super-villain game. Remember that City of Villains was sold as a separate game for years? Notice that "City of Heroes" isn't mentioned on the box anywhere at all? (I still have two of these boxes with all of their contents, BTW.) So yes, villains are a faction, heroes are a faction, and there does need to be balance between the two sides. FWIW, while blue side has more players, red side has better quality players, and honestly I'd rather play another game entirely than be forced to play blue side. I play villains 100% of the time. Villain missions are indeed better. They're better written than blue side missions on average, require less traveling to different zones during mission arcs and strike forces, and the red side mobs present a greater challenge than blue side mobs from level one on up, (which is partly why the red side player base is better than the blue side player base on average). Having all red side players congregate to one server isn't the answer. This isn't City of Heroes, (and oh, we have red side on one server). It is City of Heroes and City of Villains. For a healthy City of Villains population, it needs to be spread throughout the various Homecoming servers. In addition, people have prejudices against various servers. Some people don't like Indomitable because it has a significant PvPer population. Reunion is on another continent than most red side players. Some people don't like Excelsior because some people consider it the Freedom of Homecoming. Me personally, you couldn't pay me to touch Everlasting with a ten foot pole, (no offense meant). Not only that, but some of us have friends that exclusively play blue side (because they are silly or just don't know any better), and we can still play with them as Rogues. Having one concentrated red side server would just cut us off even more from the blue side population. It is just not a tenable solution, as it's not really a solution at all.
  6. Yeah. I'd say ideally that Cap au Diable is the red side hub, because it pretty much already is. You have the base portal, university, ferry, tunnel portal, Black Market, Vanguard, and Midnighter's Club. Myself and friends of mine always considered Cap au Diable the Atlas Park of red side.
  7. You could do that, but then they'd start complaining (and some already have), that they want the Rogue Isles changed to be more "clean" and "friendly" like Paragon City "if they have to spend time there," which would just honk off those of us that exclusively play red side and love the Rogues Isles as they are now, (including moi).
  8. As someone who has never used the base macro/slash command, and who stopped joining PUG teams because people began expecting everyone to use it, these are all positive changes to me. Thank you!
  9. You can still access transport hubs via the two day job powers, the Base Transporter, and the Supergroup Portal. Not to mention zone SG base portals themselves.
  10. Thank you!
  11. The servers don't have the population for that to work. I mean, maybe for a random TF/SF, but if I get Synapse, I'm bailing.
  12. Like @Arli pointed out, there is a red side population on Excelsior. Is it even half as large as the blue side population? No. But we're there, and we love red side. Every single character I play on Excelsior is red side, and all but one of my non-retired characters started out red side. My friends and I play at least one strike force per evening, generally. Arli gave some great advice. Listen to it. In addition to LFG though, I'd advise also checking out the Excelsior and Excelsior Badges global channels as well. The traffic in those two global channels is nowhere near as great as LFG, but that also stands to your benefit. I have LFG in its own separate chat tab which I tune out of most of the time because it is so busy, but I pay attention to the Excelsior and Excelsior Badges global channels. I doubt that I'm the only one that does that. If you post something in the two global channels, it stands out more than it would in just LFG alone. To join, type: /chan_join Excelsior /chan_join Excelsior Badges If you need any help or just want to team and do villainy, feel free to look me up at @Apparition
  13. You may choose to believe that the sky is not blue, but that's on you.
  14. Yes. It is theoretically possible, but it would have to be manually done at server maintenance by a Homecoming admin. So don’t expect it to happen here anytime soon.
  15. Negative, Ghost Rider.
  16. Yes. All taunt auras were standardized in Page 4.
  17. No map has two hospital locations. That's a pity. Well, you could try starting one, or you're more than welcome to join one of the instanced MSRs I lead on Excelsior.
  18. You can just do an instanced MSR, where the hospital is already at the Point du Hoc Vanguard compound.
  19. The level shift has existed for over three years of CoH, (ten years if you include Resurgence). At this point it has been in the game for about a third of its life. That is not something easily done and would be flat out rejected by a substantial number of players. In addition, players can already remove the level shift on their own by sticking with a second tier Alpha.
  20. What are the pros and cons of tanking on Invulnerability vs. Willpower?
  21. Thank you!
  22. If I understand correctly, Rise to the Challenge in Willpower is now just as effective an aggro aura as others. Is this correct?
  23. See this -
  24. I tried that this evening. My Electric Armor Brute had 31.6 points of knockback protection. It wasn't enough. Lord Recluse still knocked me around silly. Another friend of mine told me that Recluse can do either 50 or 60 points of knockback. With that, I think I'm done with Electric Armor again until Grounded is fixed to add knockback resistance and knockback protection regardless of your movement.
  25. It's more the rule than the exception from my experience. Regardless, the negative feedback is unwarranted as it reads like children whining about their favorite toy being taken away after being repeatedly warned over the past fourteen months that it would do exactly that.
