The image on the right looks like Rick from Pawn Stars. Bet he got the Infinity Gauntlet for like 30 dollars and some store credit.

Wait? What? You mean to say that all this time we had our very own pet monkey?

Like a few others, when there was no CoH I played a lot of Fallout, replayed a lot of Fallout. Original, F2, F3, New Vegas and 4 but haven't actually finished 4. Fallout 76 can eat my hinder though. Also played Wasteland and Wasteland 2 which the old Fallout came from technically. Also dipped back into Eve Online but just running around the Wasteland has infinite replayability for me. But CoH is still the king and Queen of replayability to me because the same mission plays out a dozen different ways depending on your AT and powers. Take Dirge of Chaos; I know that mission's every beat and yet some toons get their buttocks handed to them and other toons hand the buttocks. Low level mission - Illusion solo = pain, all other ATsa fine. Hooray variety and conversely replayability.

I Thought Super Stunners Did Not Rez If...
High_Beam replied to Erratic1's topic in General Discussion
I had to re-read that like four times because my brain would not stop telling me it said pseudopods. -
I tried. I wanted to like the show because I liked some of the stories I perused in the comics and in the ways she sort of fourth wall broke without actually fourth wall breaking (ala Deadpool). Her fandom was our fandom yet wasn't winking to us directly. The show, tried to put that in but just got overwhelmed by trying to cram so much other stuff in. That stuff, ranging from the aspect of her heritage to how she dealt with her powers, while necessary, needed to be shepherded better like the way Wandavision slow-burned in Episodes 1 and 2 until the deep crazy set in. The stories were clunky and the characters often plagued by tropes and it just fell flat. This is the real problem with a lot of the Marvel TV shows. Agents of Shield was all over the some good and some bad and most of it because they needed mutants without calling them mutants because Disney hadn't bought Fox media yet. Peggy Carter couldn't sustain itself outside of the static warp bubble of the period piece. Don't even start with the Inhumans. Hawkeye was just a long-winded vehicle to introduce a new character that nobody will likely care about considering nobody really cares about Hawkeye. Wandavision was good because it was quirky, not preachy and teased something more. Same goes for Loki though the acting of Hiddleston really strengthened the soft plot points. Then you have the Netflix shows, Luke Cage, Daredevil and Punisher were all solid A+ shows, while Jones was a B+ and Iron Fist was a D+ (Bad story and lame character, I honestly don't care about the other complaints). The Defenders was okay (C) and had to happen because the others built to it. But they all worked because they were all in a niche zone that not many fill; the gritty street hero (I use the term somewhat loosely with Frank Castle). Cage was glorious, a damn shame it didn't get another season (fingers crossed). Daredevil honestly ran its course, the well is relatively shallow with regards to Murdock, same for Jones. And honestly, nobody gives 1 nor less two craps about Iron Fist. And the Punisher, well he's the Punisher and he is the same problematic issue that Disney has to deal with like they do Deadpool, fans want them, a lot of money paying fans want them but they want them like they got them and Disney, well Disney is wholesome family entertainment (cough, cough). Here's hoping She-Hulk will be better.

'Invincible' another Amazon comic to TV adaptation
High_Beam replied to Glacier Peak's topic in Comic, Hero & Villain Culture
I thought it was well done and my friends who weren't familiar with the source material crapped themselves on several occasions because they couldn't believe what they were seeing. Then said they wanted to check out the material. So if it gets eyes on the material its a win for all. -
Saw it this past weekend. My nephew (who is a fairly good bellweather for certain types of movies said that it was a little to Shticky. But I liked it. Not as good as Ragnarok, but better than the others. I was disappointed certain things. But nitpicks aside, it was worth the watch but unlike Ragnarok, its not gonna be a repeat view for me except when I am doing marathons.

I am optimistic. I was so disappointed by Ms. Marvel so I would love this to not suck. -
I love this guy and want to introduce him to my sister.

I Thought Super Stunners Did Not Rez If...

If a Super Stunner falls in the forest and there is nobody around does that jerk still drain my endurance? -
I am not at home on my Rock Blaster but I do know that there is a power (orange ring) thing that allows my Rock Shards and Stabby awesome stun power to be more effective that goes away whenever I like jump or are off the ground; Seismic Force maybe. Orange reticle around power button. I like the concept of being forced to remain close to the earth to get the bonus.

Reminds me of John Carpenters The Fog. Excellent!

Pointy sticks of pointiness . . . and glue.

I am running a DP/MC Blaster and I have a blast with her Blapping. She (and I) may not be the best at it, there are Blapper specialists out there who I am sure could definitely weigh in on, but my girl is fun as hell to play, jumping and flipping and BoS-ing in and out while cycling through massive amounts of bullets against foolish evil-doers who are distracted by her vivid pink mini-skirt and crop top! Foolish evil-doers, do not pay attention to these guns, pay attention to THESE guns! 😍Di Di Guns

On this one I disagree, PvP zones are for PvP so there should be no restrictions there. If its good for the goose to keep PvP out of PvE zones and keep their powers separated then its good for the gander to require PvE players who want to step in and PvP to abide by the same structure. They too can always create a PvP zone character using the same mechanism or take their chances going in zone with what they have. I mean I didn't see anywhere that said the auto exemplar mechanism of the PvP zones was done away with so there aren't going to be Level 50 Double Plus good PvP builds ganking "noobs" in Siren's Call; correct me if I am wrong WRT that mechanism but I assume that is why they start in RV.

I respect you and your opinions and more often than not agree with your positions, but with regards to this change; excellent. I feel that there should be MORE DISTANCE between PvE and PvP, that the two should never meet or impact the other . . . EVER. You keep the two worlds separated then you don't have to deal with the damage or the impact. You make PvP changes to affect only PvP so they have their "balance" and nobody is OP or everybody is OP or burst damage this or that is king and the PvP people are happy cause they are "getting attention". Meanwhile in PvE you can focus on cool things like powers and zone revamps and new content. Will this get me into a PvP zone? Nope, I find zero entertainment value in it, but that's me. The only enticement to me would be badges and I don't have the OCD that I did on live for this. But as I have always said, I do believe players should be able to PvP as long as they don't impact the majority of the player base (live or on HC).

Same here.

I almost snorted coffee out my nose. I don't even know if its the worst but it just stepped out of the shadows, smacked me and said it was the worst and now I believe it.

I got the chance this weekend to put my fledgling Inv/EM tank through some action. I was level 17 sidekicked to a pair of SG mates in their 50's (Energy Blaster and Defender with Fire shields) who let me tank (read, let me try to herd and hold aggro and such without dying) because I am still new to melee as a whole and tanking specifically. She did pretty good, I didn't die and kept the aggro off the squishies so they didn't die. My damage (when I actually hit) was almost zero as they were +5 to me but they let me test the waters and I practiced herding and corner pulls and I felt better about tanking. But this forum post has given me a lot of ideas and tips on how to make her better since she is now level 26. And these were Freakshow so S/L obviously was part of the reason I fared as well as I did. So thanks everyone for this specific forum post. I will continue to follow it and maybe post how I build when I get there.
