I may be confusing win 95 with win 98 🙂 I know it's an early Windows. It was a couple of years ago he mentioned it in conversation

As far as I'm aware it was only Adamastor, and that's been a problem for a while with the number of AFK players farming merits, and Ghost of Scrapyard as he can be summoned in a minute or two. There were 24 hour leagues on some shards getting 30 to 40 MA's and 200+ merits an hour. All the other GM's are either random timings, or summoned under specific circumstances that take work. I haven't seen Deathsurge leagues anywhere, but if players do start farming at the rate they were with GoS I'm sure that will be looked at.

Cipher did a look-see a while ago and there are actually people playing this on Windows 95 🙂

I did mention that to them as I use it a lot as the boosts from shadow fall and the slotting are more important to me

Tequila is legacy and as secure as a bucket with no bottom. The launcher is a closed system and while it would be nice to be compatible with Tequila our support for Tequila has ended and at some point the launcher will be the only way to play Homecoming.

That would just cause more aggravation and bad feeling than it would solve I'm afraid. From my own personal playing experience, I play alts until they are fully incarnated to tier 4 on everything then park them up in a retirement SG and move on to the next alt. I have maybe 60 alts saved that way. I loved them, nurtured them, enjoyed them, but for me the thrill is maxing out a character. I will occasionally pull one out for a TF or trial if the leader asks for a specific AT or power set, but for the majority of time they are unplayed. With characters like that we deserve to keep them until we ourselves decide to free the name. We've put in the time and they've earned their retirement. I can't comment on individual cases due to player confidentiality, but I am in an interesting position to be able to see player accounts. I don't sit there for hours being nosy, but in my time helping players, investigating complaints, genericing inappropriate alts I have seen a large number of accounts with dozens, if not hundreds of unplayed level 1 characters. Name camping is a real thing.

I've had a report that the conceal part of shadow cloak isn't concealing, and the invulnerable part of stygian return isn't activating when you use it after death. Has anyone else noticed this?

Or you could invite them to your farm 😛 Seriously, my bugbear is AFK farmers. I don't have a problem with it as a thing, I have a problem with it when they exit the mission and clutter up the entrance and constantly spam powers, sometimes for hours. It's so annoying and distracting for everyone else in the area.

I stand next to a vendor and know off the top of my head what the vendor will pay, so if I drag a recipe into the AH and it's trash it gets sold at the vendor. Anything a decent chunk above the vendor I list for 10 inf and watch it fly away to the sound of clinking coins.

And I think it would be a good place for a START vendor. Null not so much though, he's a unique entity and a vast interdimensional being with a small animal as his avatar. A bit like Jimmy.

The devs looked into it but it's not possible as bases are classed as instanced maps and close down when they are empty, so the restrictions on instanced maps (np P2W/S.T.A.R.T vendor or auction house) amongst other things applies. The only solution would be to keep the bases up permanently and that takes a lot of resources for something that for 99% of players isn't going to be in use for large amounts of time. Yes I know the main maps close down when empty but unlike bases all the resources are permanent and loaded in when it spins up. It's looking at a master map and copying that exactly.

Do you have an old copy of vidiotmaps installed? That causes no end of problems as the updates cause it to keep looking and looking and demanding more and more ram till the game dies. Try removing all the mod files in your data folder

The name is fine, there is a 14 character limit. Put a password in the password box then put it in again to confirm. You need a game account and game password to play, the forum ones don't do anything.

And it's always fun when there is a new patch as things get moved about. As those of you who have seen GM's in action know, we use ingame avatars. After a patch it's always fun to see what we will log in as. Once I appeared in atlas as a massive space ship that was so big I couldn't scroll back far enough to get a screen shot, another time I appeared as a door 🙂

Off topic but it's RTD so I imagine it's got a bigger thing coming up. Or it better have as it's really annoying.
