  1. I prefer the classical offerings of Lizard Lutenist, myself…
  2. The guide recommends the Origin of Power arc (found in the 20-24 mission band) for the level 1-14 challenge badges. This arc is currently awarding the level 20-24 challenge badges now. Not sure if this is a bug, or if it's now working as intended. I haven't reported it as a bug. The guide should probably recommend something different for the 1-14 range.
  3. Passed the challenge with days to spare! Mostly. Atomic Tiger made it to 30 today. Took him through Praetoria as a Loyalist. Went to Paragon City and soloed except for Posi1 & 2. Katana was better than I expected. I think not choosing a katana for a weapon was the key. Rad was better than I remembered. I definitely had fun. Sundog did not make the cut. He was fun, and I really liked his look and his background. But I'd made him for our theme team, and the team decided to focus on vigilante/rogue stuff, and Sundog felt more like a Hero. So I shelved him. I may pick him back up later, or may even reroll him. So, that meant I had to make a new slot toon. I went back to the slot machine and got: fire/regen sentinel, beam/regen sentinel, and peaceshade [sic]. In the end I went with beam/regen. Thus was born Ragnar the Troll. Mostly teamed with him, and he was (as expected) a blast. Thanks for the fun challenge!
  4. I couldn't get it to roll peacebringers, warshades, soldiers, or widows. Although it does list widow/fortunata teamwork in at least one theme...
  5. I went ahead and made 2 of my 3 rolls. One for soloing, and one for my regular group, some of whom are also doing the challenge (Hi @Shocktacular!). I may get around to rolling up the 3rd (Ice/Elec Stalker) if I get Atomic Tiger and Sundog levelled up with time to spare. Have fun y'all!
  6. So, just to be clear on the rules… Roll up 1 or 3 characters at random Create on Apr 01 Reach level 30 by Apr 30. Anything else? No teaming requirements? No server requirements?
  7. Hmm. Had fun with Push Up Bro, my Grav/FF Controller last year. Let's see what we get this time around... Ice/Elec Stalker Fire/Energy Blaster Katana/Rad Scrapper Never done Ice/* on a stalker. Never done */Elec or Katana/* on anything before. Rolled up Atomic Tiger, the Katana/Rad Praetorian Scrapper. Might roll up the others, just to see which one strikes my fancy most. This year, I'll probably play him on Indom tho, since that's where I normally hang out.
  8. Billboard support floating about a foot or so over the roof, near Investigator Whitworth in Imperial City. Loc [-124.4 127.4 169.8]
  9. Huh. I did not know that. I’ll have to try that out some time. I don’t think I’ve ever tried fighting the PPD when they attack, either.
  10. So, do tell. What is the easy way? I always just do the one fight, then run away out the back. Is there another way to do the mission?
  11. Why wouldn’t PvP Council Indomitable host their events on, you know, Indomitable?
  12. The command is /buildsave. I always do that before I do a respec, so I don’t have to remember how the powers were slotted, or what order I originally picked them up. The only downside I know of is the set enhancements use the “internal” name, so Numinas_Convalescence_B, rather than Numina’s Heal/End.
  13. So, this was on Brainstorm, creating a new character. Characters tried: Male, Blaster, Archery/Atomic Female, Controller, Symphony/Radiation Huge, Scrapper, Titan/Bio Select Costume Set to Hero. Lower Body goes to Tight/Tights Select Costume Set to Lizard. Lower Body goes to Monstrous/Monstrous Large/Reptilian Select Costume Set to Hero. Lower Body goes to Monstrous/Monstrous Large/Hairy, not Tight/Tights. This was real startling when I first encountered it, going from Lizard to School Girl, and getting the Monstrous Hairy legs. Eww! This does not happen on live.
  14. One which increases the existing stealth radius. We already have procs that add stealth to a power (celerity, etc). I was thinking of something that enhanced the existing stealth radius, much like a range enh increases the distance of a ranged ability. So you could pick stealth, and enhance it to be better.
  15. An Increase Stealth Radius. Schedule B seems most reasonable offhand. I wouldn’t make any dedicated Stealth sets, but it would be cool if there was a Defense set that had increased stealth. An Increased Phase Duration. Schedule A. Affects any intangibility, phase, or capture power. A Phase set would cover Phase duration, acc, end, and recharge.
  16. For completeness' sake, this is eventually what I ended up with... In the end, I picked up all the primary and secondary powers. I like having 3 attacks for most of my career. I went with Hasten, not because this build needs +recharge, but because I couldn't think of anything else that would be useful with only 2 slots. In hindsight, if I wasn't mostly soloing, I'd probably have taken the rez quite a bit earlier, but I didn't read the description very closely and thought it was a self-rez -- which is largely useless on a mastermind. He mostly soloed his way through Praetoria, First Ward, and Night Ward without too much trouble, and soloed Tina Macintyre/Maria Jenkins just fine. His personal defenses are probably lower than what a lot of folks are comfortable with (13-30% def, 13-25% res), but between the set bonuses and pet self buffs, their defenses and resistances are really good. I mostly run at +0/x3, but I may push things up higher once I'm incarnated a bit. Of all the enemies in the game, what gives me the most trouble so far? Monkeys. The fear clouds they give off send the pets zooming uncontrollably off to Timbuktu, aggroing practically every other spawn on the map. The pets were amazing vs ninjas in SBB yet did almost no damage vs monkeys. Sigh... 17. So does that mean Power Boost doesn’t affect the debuffs either? Bummer. Not sure PB is worth it just for the heals and Fortify Pack.
  18. I've got a new L14 Mastermind (see build below for reference), and I'd like some feedback on it. First, I planned to put the Kismet +Acc in Combat Jumping, and that the extra +ToHit would help the pets. But I think maybe I got that wrong and it will only help me and not the pets at all. Is that correct? Hypothetically, if a summon pet power took Defense sets (robots, perhaps?), would the Kismet +Acc help the pet if slotted there? Second, if I understand City of Data correctly, Power Boost will amplify effects of some powers by ~65% (0.44 * melee_stun (which is 1.49 for MM)) Heals (Fortify Pack, Warmth, Cauterize, Heat Exhaustion, Health) Endurance (Heat Exhaustion, Stamina) Defense (Fortify Pack, Melt Armor, Combat Jumping, Maneuvers, Scorpion Shield) ToHit (Forge, Tactics) Will it boost all these powers? This seems really useful on the face of it, but I don't have a lot of experience with it. Is it that good? Third, I know the MM attacks are high endurance, low damage attacks. But thermal doesn't feel very busy so far. And my attack rotation isn't going to get better as I level. It's CallHawk > CallRavens > SandsOfMu/NemStaff > Throwing Knives. I feel sad that P2W powers are over half my attack rotation. It feels like I need a 3rd attack, but I'm not sure what to give up, what attack to take, or where to scavenge slots from. I imagine swapping out Super Jump for Call Swarm. Stealing 2 slots from Fortify Pack, and 1 each from Combat Jumping, Health and Stamina. Are there better ideas for what to swap out or where to steal slots? Or even picking a different attack? Last, any other comments on the build? It has 75% recharge before Hasten, but only 12-33% defenses and 14-19% resists. Not sure there's all that much I can do about it without a complete rebuild. Or comments on how pets are slotted. Got most of the pet bonuses, but still missing %buildUp and one of the +def ones. 19. In theory, the movement buff was moved from shinobi-iri (the stealth power) to the (status protect click power). But shinobi still accepts travel enhancements (like zephyr) even though the status protect power doesn’t. At least on my sentinels. I understood the reasons for the change. Wasn’t happy about it. And still didn’t have any good ideas for how to handle it. Oh well. Yeah, and was fairly cheesed that the movement buff which used to intentionally stack with other travel powers was reduced AND made to no longer stack. Sigh.
  20. I’m in a couple cow and rabbit themed sgs already. My rabbit guys are Aether Bunny and Ice Cream Coney. I’d look up ATs right now if I could.
  21. In the character creator, the power description Sentinel >> Assault Rifle >> Disorienting Shot reads "Fires a single non lethal rubber bullet that can seriously Disorient a target. Deals little damage and takes a long time to reload, but renders most targets unable to attack for a good while." This description applies to the blaster/corrupter version perhaps, but not to sentinels'. The sentinel version does almost exactly the same damage as Burst (which claims Average damage in its description). The recharge is only 5secs, which is Assault Rifle's second shortest recharge. And the disorient is only 2 seconds, which can hardly be described as "serious", nor does it qualify as "a good while". All in all, completely inaccurate except for the "non lethal rubber bullet" part.
  22. And here we are, clocking in at level 30.... Push Up Bro! Ran Hashaby, DFB, and some radio missions. Then Posi1&2, Synapse, Yin, and Citadel. Then some (redside) radio missions. And, along the way, picked up all the explo and history badges through the Talos Island tier. Used Dimension Shift a lot more than I expected to. Was invaluable during final mission of Posi1 where we're fighting our clones. Had half the clones on ice while we took out 3 of the others before we wiped. Wiped to the clones on the next attempt because evil me kept detention fielding the brute while the rest of us squishies ate carpet. Note to self: fighting 2 FF and 1 storm can be brutal! Used Force Bolt a lot less than I expected to. The KB is fun, but it does so little damage, it's kinda hard to justify. If I were to respec, I might pick up Air Superiority instead. Hard to say. Anyway, thanks for the challenge! I played for the fun, but not too proud to collect a prize for @ZekeStenzland.
  23. Late to the show, but… 10-55-06: Brute Psi/Bio (maybe a guy with brains in his fists? 7/10) 62-33-07: MM Merc/Dark (not excited about mercs, tbh 3/10) 27-47-28: Troller Grav/FF (hmm…) So much knockback, knock up, and repel on the Troller, I gotta do it. Thus was born Push Up Bro.
  24. More shorts. Bike shorts, cargo shorts, etc. Chest hair. More tattoo options. More weapon options. Aladdin-style open vest. These are all things I’ve looked for when making characters.
  25. Fortunately(?), Win11 doesn’t support my cpu. Yay?
