  1. It's far too late to simply just revert. Even after Paragon added that option for arena it was far too late. Most pre-i13 PvPers are long gone so it's better to focus on the current system and group of PvPers. Pre-i13 was doomed to fail due to IO power creep, with it being as easy as it is now and incarnates the system would have needed addressing eventually.

  3. It was never perfect, but what was there pre-issue 13 was beloved by the community in it and the community was fairly large. Zones were active, tournaments were filled easily and the boards were very alive. No games PvP is perfect, but at least it was alive and had no signs of slowing down until issue 13 happened. I don't think It's fair to say it's not in the DNA because for many many people issue 3 - issue 13, it very much was the game.
  4. You should check out the PvP forums and discord areas, they have events and all kinds of inclusive stuff. I may not PvP anymore but they do their best to be inclusive and try to make the best of it. You can get some really good insight on the current community and the direction in general.
  5. I'm aware. I watched it happen in real time as my super group and many others depleted of people because of bad suggestions and trying to appease PvE players. I don't PvP anymore, I'm just aware that people who don't like whats there are the worst people to take advice on how to fix it. PvP can't be solved by dangling shinnies or increasing XP on mobs or forcing people off a server to make the bad PvP take place in random zones instead of arena or PvP zones. It just plain cannot be solved at all, It's too late. So option B is to just make whats there comfortable so they keep enjoying it and focus on PvE instead.

  7. Radical changes literally killed it in 2008. Aside from time travel, there is nothing to be done outside of PvP events and the occasional change based on feedback from that community. If they kill it again with bad ideas to try and get people who don't like PvP to PvP and make the current PvPers quit, there will literally be no PvP left.

  9. Trying to make PvP friendly to non-PvPers is how CoH PvP was killed the first time. Let's edit a active community to be for people who don't do it. Giant brain play, worked out amazing in 2008. Oh wait, instead it killed the community and made a ton of people quit the game entirely and spoilers, PvE'ers still didn't PvP. Also, what do you think Homecoming is? It's a bunch of players already. They didn't magically become better judgement makers than your average player because they can modify the game. It's already players making the decisions.
  10. A more serious reply to your suggestion though. Open PvP on Indom wouldn't work as most of them don't PvP and forcing them now to leave their server would be silly. Increased rewards in PvP on homecoming is pointless, everything is super easy to get anyway. Honestly? The only way to fix PvP would be to turn back time and not have IO's be so easily available and prevent issue 13 from happening so it doesn't make the PvP community go from extremely active across all servers with a huge test league to barren or dead on most servers (except freedom). The 2nd best way is to listen to whatever the people who enjoy it currently have to say and do that so they keep enjoying it.
  11. The Original LRSF featured Statesman and Sister Psyche in the final showdown with the Freedom Phalanx and Malaise in the 2nd to last mission with his team. It was quite an experience and there seems to be a fair bit of people who never got the chance to do it. Re-adding this into Oroborus would give people the option to experience this final showdown with all of the Freedom Phalanx again while preserving the current one that exists in the timeline. This would be similar to how the old Sister Psyche is available in the 25-29 category for heroes. Pros - Additional bit of content for Red side New players getting to experience the Statesman fight Veteran players getting to re-live the fight Oroborus difficulty options available for the LRSF Cons - Unprepared teams dying horribly to Statesman lightning attack This is a continuation of the last request thread, however it was spiraled out of control by moral debates involving Zeus so a fresh one is being made. Let's please not relive that.

  13. I don't think It's the animation time, just the recharge time.
  14. Executioner strike is pretty much the same thing, it works exactly like old AS right down to using placate to proc one while in combat. As for omega, nukes got their recharge lowered while omega did not, despite having the old times roughly. The ability is bad and a recharge cut similar to blaster nukes would help with that. Banes could get something similar to stalkers to improve their gameplay flow like stalkers, Executioners focus or w/e you'd want to name it. Omega Maneuver has a recharge time of 6 minutes and does roughly half the damage of a defender nuke but has 2x the recharge. It doesn't need to do more damage, it just needs a much lower recharge time to fulfill it's mitigation purpose.

  16. I'm thoroughly confused, are you saying 36 MPH is too hard to control in maps? That's only 3 higher than having sprint on.
  17. Omega honestly needs a recharge cut and it'd probably be ok. I think the idea behind the power being a form of mitigation should prevent it from being a blaster nuke. I honestly don't feel the long animation thing tbh but I'm currently playing one and I just hit 35 so tbd the inherent could be a lot better, its pretty bad. The pets would be over preforming if they had solid ways to stay alive group to group outside of team buffs and incarnates imo Crabs aren't many big changes away from being mostly fine, they're still amazingly fun but theres just little hang ups. I think omega and the inherent are the biggest things that need addressing oh and maybe add KB protection to fort? pretty silly to get tossed around as a crab
  18. I'm more for just adding more IO sets that give more options for KB>KD instead of hard changing it at this point, even if i think knockback isn't great and mostly just funny because of ragdoll.
  19. In an ideal world, Blue/Red would resemble Gold in choices / alignment options for missions throughout the game but that'd be insanely hard for people like the homecoming staff to achieve. So doing a single starting arc is the next best option for on the spot rogue/vigil status. A+ idea
  20. Explain. give me on realistic scenario in which an aoe will get you killed that doesn't knockback/repel also this is more whataboutism. Unless you mean like, accidentally throwing a fireball at a second mob, in which case no duh? Yuh-huh 😠
  21. It can though? It literally can get you killed when misused in lower levels if you are playing on a non-baby difficulty (which was my entire point)

Using whataboutism arguments like "lots of things get you killed not just KB" only makes you look more wrong btw
