  1. Here's one I put together. Ranged softcap, hardcapped SL resistance, uses PBAOE auras for melee defense, even had spare slots to throw in some damage procs. Can +5 Unbreakable Guard Resistance and swap out the UG triple for 7.5 HP without dropping below cap. Picked Muscular Radial Alpha to improve endurance drain.
  2. Musculature Radial would boost the End Drain from your electrical attacks.
  3. It is subjective, but Retro Sci Fi 1 looks pretty similar.
  4. I think it's unanimous for controller. One thing to keep in mind is to slot eligible primary powers like attacks: 1 Acc, EndRedux, and Recharge, and 3 Damage, not control duration. Your controls only need to last long enough to chew through their HP, plus you'll be refreshing them with every attack. It'll be sort of slow until you get your pets, but afterward you'll be out-damaging dominators.
  5. Oh right, it's called Fury, not Rage.
  6. Additionally, Rage Fury provides a very strong boost to damage auras.
  7. The brute should theoretically do more damage, haven't tested it. I can't open your link, please post the data chunk.
  8. More powers and costumes are always better, but while you wait the Tinted Vanguard rifle resembles Rodimus's, and you might be able to get some mileage out of the DUST cannon.
  9. Here's that Shield Dark tanker quick-changed into a Will Dark. SLP 90, softcapped energy, good regen and recovery, but you're gonna eat a lot of debuffs. I notice they also lack a ranged attack, so they were probably concept builds. Either way, it gives you an idea of ways you can go.
  10. Willpower is a heal armor, with high SLP resists, extra endurance recovery and crazy regeneration, but a weakness to energy damage. My main was a Dark Will scrapper, and even with his resistances the end game was rough until I softcapped his energy defense. It is a good set, but if you hate debuffs, defense sets are what you want: Inv, Shield, or SR. This is a brute TW/WP build I had lying around. SL 90, P 55, softcapped energy defense. A tanker would be even harder to kill. And here is a Shield Dark tanker. SL 84, the rest ~43 before the tanker proc, icap Melee, softcap Ranged/AOE
  11. For solo I'd go Controller, especially at +0/x1. Controlling one fool while mashing the other lets you level slow but steady. When you do group, you don't have any buffs to keep track of, so it doesn't change your playstyle much. Once you get the pets from 32+ it'll go even faster.
  12. This is modified from a Staff/Fire farm build I had lying around, so it could be greatly improved. Already has capped SL resist, okay defenses. You could trade out one of the weak punches for Hurl, and swap sets to keep up SL resistance, depending on your preference.
  13. The Archetypes forum itself, not the individual AT subforums you see at the top.
  14. Confront can miss, too, right? Another reason picking it is a waste.
  15. For common IOs, go with Oysterhead's set up. Focused Accuracy needs Endredux, Combat Jumping doesn't, but it also doesn't benefit much from Defense, either. I also enclosed a build with set IOs, for later on.
  16. Definitely agree. The other epic shields have versatility that can eclipse TI, but the OP seemed to be asking if an epic resist toggle was worthwhile at all.
  17. It's twice as strong as Tough, with careful slotting they can get you hardcapped SL resistance, which multiplies the effectiveness of your defense and healing. But as the others have said, its effectiveness depends on the rest of your build.
  18. I thought I read it had recently been normalized, but that might have been just for tankers.
  19. As you said, Shield Charge would be too slow. Atom Smasher, too. What's your next slowest power, one that recharges fast enough that you could stack it but slow enough that it can reliably activate?
  20. Mids shows they all do 428 w/chance for another 160, except Pyronic (which has a 128 DOT chance instead). Is that an error?
  21. Yes. For instance, my elec3 blaster had Muscular Radial Alpha, which has EndMod. Every one of her elec attacks increased it's end drain by 33% even without devoting slots for it. So you'll want to read the entire Alpha and determine which gives you the most useful array. Muscular has damage, debuffs, and end mod, but Intuition has damage, debuffs, and range. Regarding Judgement, Ionic is good for ease of aiming, but has a four second lockout so it's usefulness can drop on teams if you aren't careful to space it out; Pyronic has the fastest animation.
  22. In addition to what Hopestar said, Alpha slot increases anything that could be slotted normally. Since your pets can be slotted for damage, damage Alphas function. The defense Alpha would apply to your protector bots, but not tier 1 or 3. Back on live my Bots/Traps went with... Nerve Alpha, I think, to make up for the pet level shift. Back in the day Hybrid only worked if you turned it on before summoning, not sure what HC has done.
  23. I think Willpower also has a taunt component for scrappers.
  24. One of the new maces looks like a torch, for a Statue of Liberty theme.
  25. When your hero alignment gets to 10, you get one of two tip missions that gives you extra merits on completion. The first time you finish the alignment mission you get a little power a week afterwards. If you go Vigilante, your character can enter the Rogue Isles and join but not lead missions there. Each of the four alignments gets a different power.
