  1. For Alpha slot Musculature (damage, debuff, endmod) or Intuition Radial (damage, debuff, range). There are better ways than Alpha to handle endurance burn. You have the right idea about Mu Mastery with Charged Armor and Conserve Power instead of Power Sink. CP is a click buff that doesn't need enemies. What powers do you use and not use? Or post your current build with data chunk, we'll see about tweaking it.
  2. No, the dwarf doesn't use the human defensive powers. Human form is important for melee damage, travel, and for activating your nuke and buffs: Dawn Strike, Essence Boost, Hasten, Inner Light, and Light Form. The only exception is Nova keeps your eye lasers and Dwarf keeps, uh... Gleaming Bolt. The range is nerfed, though, while Nova gives your eye lasers a buff. Fights start by wearing Human to buff up, then shift to Nova and start blasting. If things get hairy shift over Human or Dwarf for heals and armor. When you've suckered the enemies close, you can dance between all three forms to slam them with four effectively PBAOE attacks in quick succession (Dawn Strike, Solar Flare, Dwarf Flare, Nova Detonation.) Once you've thinned them out, you can shift to Human for the ST damage. In teams you can mostly stay Nova, but shift Human if someone on the team needs healing, or Dwarf to handle tanking and crowd control. In mid levels it's tempting to turtle up and stay Dwarf after the enemy alpha strike smushes Nova. As you get more comfortable, practice breaking that habit. Knock them off their feet with a Dwarf Flare, shift to Nova and hit them with N Det, then go back to Dwarf. Or if you're down to one enemy shift to Human and scrap it out. Form shifting binds are critical. Below is a tri-form endgame build with perma Light Form, and controlled AOE knocks. MIDS struggles to display the forms correctly, but Dwarf should be hard capped to everything except psi, which is still strong at 75%.
  3. The last four pools require a red-side badge. They're called Patron Power Pools, if you want to research it. Many MIDS builds use Mace because it has a SLE defense armor. For Ill/Dark, probably Fire is the best. Good resistance armor, good AOE attack.
  4. Hrmph, that's already pretty tough. I tweaked some slots and sets to improve positional defenses, resistances, and endurance burn at the cost of recharge. You'll be a small purple from soft cap defense, hard cap to SLEFC. You still have full invisibility with SS and Sprint. Elec armor is resistance based, so yes it could be 2.5x tougher on a brute, but considering you're already at +2x8 that would likely be over...live? I recommend Melee Radial for your Hybrid incarnate. Fully saturated (like when playing at x8) it'd soft cap you and almost triple your regeneration. All your other i-powers can be offense: Musculature Radial, Reactive, and Ageless. Try it on the test server first, to make sure you can live with the lost recharge before you waste all that time and money. I also would have taken Thunder Strike and Charged Brawl instead of Jacob's Ladder and heavily slotted Energize, but I expect you've already developed your battle rhythm. And here is the tweaked one with different attacks and arranged in a leveling order.
  5. Please post the data chunk. Looking at your sets I think you went in on recharge. A quick change I'd make is to swap Stealth for Combat Jumping.
  6. Conveniently, I have a build for that. Hard capped SLE resistance, soft capped ranged defense.
  7. I remember when i-Trials came out, the IDF and their bots were shredding my WP scrapper until I plugged up the energy hole.
  8. Short answer is no, it wouldn't. Alpha effectively adds a number of SOs to any power that could slot them. For instance, you can slot Protect Bots with defense, healing, stun, and to hit debuff in addition to accuracy, damage, and endredux. So Vigor Radial would add acc/endredux/heal to the relevant powers, but the fear/confuse/sleep would be wasted. (The heal would only come into play when the bots use their healing power.)
  9. Nothing crazy: Hardcap SL resistance, softcapped energy defense. Travel power and pretty good endurance management, several heal procs to paper over regeneration debuffs. Wide open incarnate choices for more damage.
  10. RE: Human Torch In the old days he wasn't like the Summers brothers; he didn't just show up blasting fools. (Although when he finally did, he was good at it.) Normally he'd use his fire as area denial and control, so I'd make him a Fire/Fire dominator before a sentinel.
  11. The forum editing tools are garbage. Anyway, got it. Ruined your global recharge, got you within spitting distance of ranged soft cap. +5 boosters to CJ and some of Weave should have it. Alpha Musculature will add End Mod to your assorted attacks.
  12. Traded Stealth and Mace for Leaping and Elec Mastery. Hardcapped SLE resistance, small purple from ranged soft cap. If you're willing to give up Hasten and global recharge, I could probably squeak in Weave. I'll try that next.
  13. Here's a WM/Shield build that has capped SL resistance 100% of the time. Could be tweaked to add ranged attacks.
  14. Evasive Maneuvers and Stealth look like the culprit. I have Mids set up to always treat the character as having attacked, so I can more accurately examine stalker numbers. In mine toggling EM does nothing for you, and Stealth gives ~3%.
  15. 2 set Preventive Maintenance gives a nice SL boost, the rest could be a couple damage sets or HOs.
  16. What are your powersets?
  17. Any of the weapon sets should pair well with Willpower by avoiding redraw.
  18. I'd take Barrier Destiny for WP. The defense buys you time for your regeneration to catch up.
  19. Please post the data chunk, the links aren't working. Just eyeballing things, you may want to swap Spring Attack for Touch of Fear. It'll do ~7x the damage. (60 damage every 120 seconds vs. 35 every 8 seconds.) Superior Conditioning looks overslotted, could use some of them to add Panacea, Miracle, and Performance Shifter to Fitness.
  20. I concur with Snarky. White or grey bright invulnerability brings out the rainbow sheen.
  21. Luckily, some sentinel epic pools have support powers around tier 3. Looks like electricity has a chain heal, fire has a pbaoe heal, psi and mace a team buff.
  22. I strongly agree with your second paragraph. The bubble effects from controls found in grav/time are an excellent example of the ring's versatility. 🙂 But you've already played that combo, so we'll skip it! If Elec/EA sentinel doesn't pan out, consider a Dark/EA sent with soul noir. You'll be launching glowing green bubbles, groping opponents with tentacles, and healing. A Dark/Dark controller or defender could also work for the same reasons, plus having Dark Servant, Haunt and Umbra Beast as ring constructs.
  23. Grav/Time controller seems the closest, but you could also go with an Energy/Energy/Psi Sent to give you some battlefield control through knocks and sleeps, plus a party buff to hit, defense, and resistance in Link Minds. Below is an armored Grav/Time/Fire. Good ranged and AOE defense, good resistance. Never played a grav, so the slotting for Singy could be all wrong.
  24. For Alpha slot, go with Musculature Radial. It will boost damage and defense debuffs in all your attacks, and endurance modification for your forms and Stamina. For Judgement, Pyronic Core animates fastest and looks similar to your Nova taoe, plus adds a different damage type to your kit. Mighty Radial is another pbaoe and looks hella sweet and also cool. Ionic is more energy damage, and isn't a fixed shape, but on teams it can be wasted if used too soon after your partner's ion. Void is a negative energy pbaoe that can reduce enemy damage. While fighting, do you wish you had another pbaoe, or the flexibility of a taoe/chain? For Interface, it's Degenerative/Reactive or bust. The defensive/controllery effects of the others are weak like a pirate, so you'll want the added offense. Lore can be whatever. Polar Lights are nice and subtle and do knockback like you, but they're on such a short timer that they're more like flavor text or a way to convey character. Destiny is another one with flexibility. Barrier will let you rez team mates and cap your defenses for a little bit, giving you time to use one of your heals. Clarion closes the mez hole, so you don't have to turtle up in Dwarf or worry about Light Form dropping. Rebirth lets you heal the party all at once instead of one at a time. Ageless indirectly boosts offense or something, and Incandescent was great if you want your league to hate you like the guy you just cut off in traffic. Hybrid has Melee to boost regen, defense, and resistance, or Assault to boost damage. Support could have some use as a pity buff. Control is for a different AT.
