I'll answer that two ways. 1. When I'm building a character, if it costs me an extra few million to get the salvage I need, I could not care less. With a high-end build (in my opinion) costing me 300-400 million, a few million extra is irrelevant. 2. Regarding marketeering - I have simply stopped. I've been buying rare category garbage recipes, crafting and converting by rarity to good stuff to sell. The profit on each sale can be anywhere from 500K to 6 or 7 million. I have no idea what my average profit is, but since it can be as low as 500K, paying an extra 200K or more is too big a cut. I do enjoy working the market in this way and I'm supplying needed IO's. But, since I have enough inf stockpiled for at least my next 10 builds, I'm just waiting for prices to come back down. The uncommon salvage came back down. The rare salvage will also at some point. I'm not in any hurry.

I really have to wonder who was buying. You would think that anyone with that kind of inf to toss around would understand how the market works and *KNOW* that the Aether price was going to nosedive within a week or two.

Well, the fact that's "incarnate content" means exactly the opposite of what you seem to be thinking. If you're 50 and set regular content to +4, the enemies will be (around) level 54 and you'll be either 50 or 51 (if your Alpha slot is T3 or higher). If you're 50 and set incarnate content to +4, the enemies will be (around) level 54 - BUT - you will be level 53 if you have all the incarnate level shifts. TL;DR version: So-called 'incarnate content' is often easier than 'regular content' due to the level shifts.

You left out a zero. On the first day, they were going for 200M. I kept all of mine because I do badges. My girlfriend sold 4 for a total of 800 million. 😲
-
um, no. I, for example, have 18 level 50's and exactly zero of them were power leveled at all - not even a single level worth.

1. This isn't an individual desire. I've heard this from a number of people and that's what prompted me to start a thread. 2. The devs SPECIFICALLY ask for feedback in order to ADJUST (your word) their plans for the game development.
-
I'm calling this unfocused feedback because it's not about any particular change in the beta patch notes. It's not about any particular change in any of the recent updates. It's about the annoying (to me) trend of making changes at a basic level that requires respeccing characters. Adjusting stats on powers is fine. Adding new powersets is great. Proliferating sets is great. Completely rewriting existing powers sucks. If the devs could focus their efforts on other categories of 'improvements', that would be great.

The patch has nothing (directly) to do with it. The players have decided that Peregrine Island is THE place to Trick or Treat. Last night, the first ToT league filled and a second was started. Not seeing lag anywhere else.

I think it's just RNG. I have an army of alts and they will often sit around for 2, 3 or more weeks before getting played and I have not observed this at all. Having said that, I actually don't care at this point. My one badger earned enough to get all the badges and has about 25 extra at this point so I'll just keep buying costumes.
-
I think the power is kind of pointless so I never take it, but I'm fine with people using it on me.
-
Not really the right question. The right question is, "Can I get in any trouble by playing this game?" The answer is no. The game is run by volunteers who do this kind of stuff for a living. They adhere to professional standards and use professional security products.

Mostly the first - probably about 90% of the time. On rare occasions I work backwards like when I made a character to help on Really Hard Way badge runs. Wanted high DPS, buffing team DPS and had to be a corr to counter Tyrant's regen so I made a beam rifle/kinetics corr. Now I wanted to make one for advanced difficulty task forces so I asked people who run them what they would want - ice blast / cold domination corr.

It depends on whether the devs are on the ball or not. As it stands, they have different power names, so they probably would not. However, since they are functionally identical, they absolutely should. Either way, we're talking about something would take literally 2-3 minutes to determine by testing.

AI Executable Number 6: A wasted opportunity?
Ironblade replied to RikOz's topic in General Discussion
To be fair, there is a character in game that sounds very much like this and is also an AI created by Crey - Mark IV. -
I would say that leading the team (literally leading from the front and taking the alpha) is a specific benefit to the team and that has value itself. If you really want to do that AND provide other benefits to the team, aside from the powers you mentioned, I would also suggest the Leadership pool. It's not great on scrappers or brutes but tanks get the same modifiers as controllers. Aside from physically leading, I think corrupters bring a lot of benefit. They can buff or debuff and, in long fights when scourge can come into play, they punch above their weight class. They are so useful that I made a beam rifle/kinetics corrupter JUST for Really Hard Way badge runs of the Magisterium iTrial.

I would say it's just the RNG for two reasons. 1. I have gotten exactly TWO from doing missions since they were introduced. And I play a lot of content, particularly task forces. 2. Since there was so much complaint about a new currency in general and also about how much it was initially selling for, I think any adjustment by the devs would be trumpeted from the heavens.

I don't have that kind of inf now, but back on live I kept it distributed across characters and in the form of purple/unique IO's in my base. I had a personal base just for storage - I bought the prestige to build it. And I had a spreadsheet to track the money - not to track where it was, but to track which characters had room to hold more. Sixty characters and a personal base with maxed out enhancement storage could hold a lot since each character could hold 2 billion and some enhancements sold for 2 billion on the AH and even more off-market. I didn't trust the auction house or email system enough to store significant sums long-term.

Need help finishing a new exploration badge proposal
Ironblade replied to Bridgebane's topic in Badges
Just need to give the sharks some lasers on their heads and they can look out for themselves.
