@TraumaTrain lol, I don't have an Etsy store right now. I don't crochet enough to get one up and running. @Midnyte After the pool and the bounce house, me making magic out of yarn certainly did seem fascinating for some of the kids, lol. Certainly made my day to have some of them come up to me so interested, one young gal just wanted to watch me make the toy, and then to see how excited they were after I finally finished it was great. 😄 @TrixieKixx I was making a little stuffed cow. Thought it would be a cute little thing for a 1 year old, and relatively easy for me to make since amigurumi isn't my specialty. Though with the sheer amount of toys my daughter wants, I might end up getting good at making stuffies, lol.

Celebrated my niece's 1st birthday today; thought I was going to have time to run this, but underestimated how much time the gift I wanted to make for her would take me (and procrastinated on the project). I was up until 3am last night and still spent most of today trying to finish it. >_< On the bright side, I had a few kids at the party coming up to me and being fascinated by me crocheting and wanting the finished product, lol. Providing nothing happens next weekend, I hope to be there on Botanical Pathogen - Plant/Poison Controller

I'm sorry y'all, but I won't be able to make it today.

Imo, doms work best when they're blapping, but there are some people who have made all ranged doms to success. Unlike trollers who spam their controls for damage, a dom's controls are just there to set up the battlefield to make use of their secondary. Unfortunately, I haven't done any incarnate or level 50 content on a dom, so I can't speak much to that. Mind/Fire is a fairly classic combo. I'm rather fond of my Ice/Ice/Ice dom. Plant/Fire, Plant/Savage, Plant/Psi, Dark/Dark, Dark/Savage are all fairly strong pairings. I'm not sure how useful Earth/* is at top-tier content, but it's a solid control set with lots of tools for locking down a battlefield. Most of my doms are babies, so let me page @oedipus_tex and @Voltak as I believe they're both familiar with doms as well as playing them at the upper echelons of content.

I'm not a dom expert, by any means, but I've picked up a few things from hanging around here. Doms are awesome if you can get into their playstyle, once you get in the groove, I feel like they become fun, but I know not every AT is for everyone. I think what messes most people up, including myself before visiting the forums to educate myself, is that they think they need to spam their controls. We're not controllers, we have a whole secondary dedicated to bringing pain. Our controls are there to set up the battlefield so that we may do so. Definitely use Domination whenever it's available. There is a guide floating about here about how to achieve near perma-dom early-ish and without a ton of money or something like that (I admittedly haven't used it yet). Or if you decide to break away from being solo, some of the most fun I've had on my doms is being paired up with someone who has a powerset like ElecAff that will boost your recharge rate. I was nearly permadom running a Posi 1 at low levels one time that just made the experience so much better. 1-20 is kind of a slog on almost any AT, imo, though doms aren't punished the way MM's are by hitting severe difficulties in that area, I don't think.* *I tend to team/run TF's, I have not yet soloed one through those levels, though am planning to with my dark/dark dom. I definitely think Plant is your best bet for getting into the AT. It has lots of fun tools at its disposal, but most importantly, you get Seeds of Confusion at like level 8, which can just change how you play/level. Plant pairs very nicely with pretty much any secondary, though I believe shines with /fire, /savage, and /psi. I personally don't recommend Fire Control, at least to start off, because it is so damn end hungry and has very few mitigation tools for wanting/needing to be in melee to keep hot feet running. I even paired it with /savage, which gives an end discount, and I still end up sucking air or having to turn hot feet off. I know Ice/ is generally considered pretty weak on doms, but my ice/ice/ice dom is probably one of my most fun doms. Earth/ and Dark/ are also both great sets on doms that get lots of fun tools.

Tried a new mm (for me) Thugs/Electrical Affinity (currently 16)
TygerDarkstorm replied to Diantane's topic in Mastermind
Yeah, EA works with almost every MM primary, including thugs. I have a Thugs/EA that's around level 37 and it's been pretty solid, granted, I did quite a few MSR raids on her for levels and she's done an ITF or two now. I haven't done much soloing with her. But like @Hedgefund said, you're at a level range that's tough for a lot of MM's, on top of which, you were playing at +2, which put your henchmen at a pretty severe disadvantage for those levels (for frame of reference, your T1's at this point are now 2 levels below you, which meant they were trying to fight +4's with minimal, if any, slotting; of course they were dying quickly). It'll get better with a few more levels at once you start slotting either attuned IO's or the basic IO's. -

Oh hey, I teamed with you in PI a whole bunch last night (if this was on Everlasting anyway)! We did the Rikti invasion as well. I was on Sister Apocalypse and Archer's Soul. 😄 -
I believe the Smurfs and He-Man originated around this time frame as well. 🙂 Many of those were still around in the 90's too when I was a kid, so I've seen most of these. Cartoon Network used to play Captain Planet in the early mornings, and then follow it up with Zoids; so I would watch those before going to school in the mornings, lol.
-
Yeah, I tried that, it wasn't letting me edit it. 😞
-
This couldn't be more perfect and hilarious, thank you. 😄
-
Because you're too sick to properly wield your whip by that point? 😛
-
Yes, I was Daphne Blake from Scooby Doo. ^_^ I just couldn't figure out how to edit my battle cry so I could have her say something related to the show. And yeah, Mascot was Captain Planet and it was so perfect, lol. They even had all the major catch phrases to go with the character. The July themes look like so much fun! I love that you chose to use the clowns theme for villains. xD
-
@Midnyte Aw, thank you so much for the shout out! Everyone looked so great today; I had so much fun seeing what everyone came up with and guessing/knowing the looks. 😄 Thank you to whoever gave that theme idea to Trixie, it was so much fun! I can't stop singing the Captain Planet theme song, lol. @TrixieKixx For next week, Apocolyptica - Demons/Storm MM will be making a visit from Everlasting, though she may end up looking like more of a demon or corpse bride, lol.

Omg I feel really stupid right now! 😅 I will have to implement this on my MM's and see if it stops the issue with the henchmen not staying at the team's level. Thank you! Edit: Yep, I am an idiot. The existing in-game control functions absolutely solve this issue for sidekicking/exemping.

As a lover of MM's, it would be amazing if it were possible in the spaghetti code to make it so that when you join a team that is either higher or lower in level than you, that you only have to hit accept once, and then you remain at that level until either a new leader is assigned or you quit the team, instead of the current process where every time you zone, you shift back to your current level until you hit accept again. While a minor annoyance for other AT's, it has the added hindrance on MM's of either making our henchmen instantly die (exemping) or revert back down to your level (sidekicking), meaning every time you exit a mish, you have to dismiss them and then resummon and buff them upon entering a mish. This does not happen on a TF/SF, which I imagine has a lot to do with the fact that those have a level hardcap. So not sure this one is possible, but is one those "this would be so nice" kind of things. I know it's been said lots, but a bio editor that actually works and isn't such a pain to edit in. I had something else in mind, but then it whooshed right out of my head... >_<

Glue arrow is/should be an AoE patch (you can see it on the ground) that slows all baddies in its area.

I generally say play what you like, but in this case, I agree with the others here. I made an Emp/Arch Def waaaaayyy back on live when I first started playing... Arch sucks on a defender. It's just absolutely painful. You're already doing lethal damage (mostly), so do yourself a favor and play the combo on a corruptor or blaster or a sentinel I guess (I didn't realize that it was decent on them but Hjarki makes it sound appealing).

I'm glad you got the name inspiration! Though sadly, as a 90's child, I've never actually seen Punky Brewster. 😅 I've just heard the name a lot; I suppose I should go at least look her up, lol. -

I don't remember how this idea popped into my head, but presenting The Punky Brewer - Beer (Water)/Beer (Pain Dom) Corr -
Sure! Here she is in all her medieval, holy knight glory, lol.

🤣 Ever since my semester ended, I can't keep track of which day of the week it is. >_< I will get better about it though! I was totally mad at myself for missing today because I had a cool costume ready and everything. 😅
-
Omg, I don't know why I keep forgetting about Saturdays. >_< I even tried to remind myself to get up last night and then overslept this AM Edit: Next week I'll try to make it on Hallowed Sam - Necro/Electric Affinity MM

Ah yes, because gods forbid ya use the general chat channel for handling, you know, general chat type conversations. We have all these different channels for different reasons. Having regular conversations in LFG, Help, etc. is considered bad form, even on Everlasting, as it clogs up those channels for what their intended use is.

They later in their post say boosters, so maybe they meant the catalysts? Because I was thinking the same thing about Converters.

Since when do you not write it as Ass Rifle? 🤣
