Do people not run it on Indom? We seem to have no trouble filling it on Everlasting.

I rather enjoy my Ice/Ice dom; she's quite a bit of fun to play. Just ran an ITF earlier on my Pain Dom Def where a lvl 50 fully slotted Ice/Ice dom was our tank and he rocked it. It plays different than other control sets, which is one of the reasons why I find it fun.

I know you didn't mention it, but I'm going to throw out my vote for Demons/Storm. It's a bit of a pain to level, but if you can slog it out until 50 and start getting your incarnates, it is a freaking beast. I don't even have mine properly slotted with sets yet and she can stand around dishing out pain and controlling the battlefield. I opted to sacrifice slots in all of my KB powers to change them to KD as a personal preference as I disliked throwing mobs around and out of my AoE's and such.

Oh wait, you're not supposed to be flying/hovering during that fight? Granted, I've only done that TF maybe 2 or 3 times, but no one has told me not to hover because of the blue doom spawns, otherwise I would have grounded myself. x_x I specifically brought a hover character because I don't know the TF well and have slow reflexes/reaction time occasionally and don't move quick enough.

@TrixieKixx Since I've already gotten her to level 43, I'm sure she'll be 50 by Saturday, so I'll be bringing over Ashe Flaye - Pain Dom/Beam Rifle Defender

Dropped the name Dearly Beloved, just couldn't come up with a concept I liked. If anyone's interested, it could make a funny Necro MM whose henchmen are named things like Groom, Bridesmaid/Groomsmen, Mother of the Bride, etc.

If you could hold a spot, I would appreciate it. MM's don't fare real well in Apex, so I need to get another toon prepped for it. I'd like the violet/purple color, please. 🙂 If possible, could I nab the defender spot? I'm not super comfortable doing a melee toon for this one.

It may be a standard goth look, but it's done well and looks very nice. Sometimes simple is just perfect. 🙂

Aw, thank you! 😊 I very rarely do asymmetrical looks, especially to that extreme, but the theme and wanting to make use of the 50/50 face option got me inspired when I created the Everlasting version of Dual Personality. 🙂 So it was fun trying to incorporate them into the Indom version of DP; especially as I tried to make the pieces fit their powers. Sonic was sort of hard to figure out, so I figured the Valkyrie wing pieces kind of represent sound waves.

Oh, haha, well it still seemed like good advice and like maybe I missed something because I'm not at the level of play as some of the people here. 😅 I was even making the joke about it being fragile in my original post because I had teamed with a different person using bio (can't remember now if they were a tank, brute, or scrapper) who was having some issues even diving into groups of 54 Council and I was having to help keep him up with my support toon. He admitted he wasn't fully kitted out yet as I joked that Bio seems to have two modes: Awesome, or fragile. 🤣

I am, admittedly, not a top tier player by any means, and certainly prone to scrapper-lock; and sometimes my reflexes/brain processing power just suck. I feel like I have followed your list there, but I will be sure to keep it in mind when I go to play that brute again, and double check that I've got some of her defensive abilities slotted.

Global is in my sig. I too will lobby for Ninjitsu like @Nemu. It's a set that gives a little bit of everything, including some stealth and even pairs nicely with primaries like Titan Weapons. I don't have one at the high levels yet, and sometimes I struggle with feeling like I need to make the character some sort of ninja theme, but it's a pretty solid secondary if you want an alternative to Shield, Bio, Energy Aura, etc. However, I do also have to chime in with Energy Aura being awesome. Granted, my experience with it is on my Dual Blades/EnAu stalker, but god damn does she play almost more like a brute or a tank, even in the lower levels. I've been pretty amazed with Energy Aura's durability, even at low levels with only SO's and generic IO's And of course, there's shield which I feel like is almost a scrapper mandatory, lol. But it really does have lots of good stuff to offer, including DDR. Bio is, well, Bio. Capable of doing some pretty neat tricks, but also capable of being as fragile as a flower. I've done some really awesome stuff with my Savage/Bio brute, and then I've had shit one-shot me because it ate through my defenses before I even had a chance to counter them. Granted, she's not level 50 and kitted out yet (still in the high 30's), but if you can make the bio theme work, it's a pretty "top-tier" set in terms of helping with damage output and such.

@Valnara1 Scrappers are an AT I don't play a lot of, so I only chose 3: Claws, Katana, and Stone Melee. Claws and Kat because I've read a lot around here that they play best on scrappers, and Stone because it seems like it might be nice and crunchy on a scrapper while also providing some mitigation; it's certainly a fun set on my brute.

I had a hard time with a lot of the villain AT's back on live; namely because I was just a dumb teenager with parents who thought the internet and the game were evil, so I didn't know about things like going to forums for help. Doms were especially hard for me. Fast forward to rediscovering the game in 2020, I made a point to actively learn about the AT's and visit the forums to better try and understand all their roles. So I wanted to try doms again because they're such an interesting amalgamation of powersets. I'm still not an elite player by any means, but even as an average player, once I started reading about how to properly play a dom, they have become infinitely more fun. Once domination gets going, man is it fun locking down a spawn and then whaling on them with your secondary. Feels a bit like playing a controllery blaster.

Hm, that sucks you have to do that. For me, the default screenshot option automatically takes the UI out of the frame Edit: I love that in the solo pic of Ban, you can see me as Rikti Monkey. xD

Then perhaps I am in the minority with you, but I rather enjoy the crafting system in CoH as well. I've crafted in WoW and GW2, I would not want to return to crafting systems like those.

I will be bringing Dual Personality - Seismic/Sonic Blaster (representing the opposites of earth and air; not everyone has to follow this format, btw. She's inspired by the toon I created on Everlasting of the same name but who is a Fire/Ice Dom--she's in the costumes thread, who, ironically, was inspired by this theme idea, lol).

Ugh, yes, my Demons/Storm has recently hit 50 and has been unlocking her incarnates but does not have a proper IO build yet, just running off generics for now, and omg is she just becoming devastating when I bring her out to +4/x8 PI parties and such. I knew it was going to be a good combo, but geeze do you not truly see it until you get to 50 and start getting Cardiac going so your end troubles get reduced (at least for me since like I said, she doesn't have a proper build yet). I also took fire mastery on her for theme, but also to get bonfire, and have it and all the storm powers slotted for KB -> KD, so basically you can just keep things endlessly flopping around, and when I'm not dropping storm powers, I throw out fireballs and whip attacks. I didn't think I was going to enjoy level 50 gameplay until I finally got this character to 50 and working on unlocking her incarnates.

I have a Rad/Mental blaster that's still a baby, but I thought the pairing might work well since Rad also likes to play in melee.
