  2. I found t his to be frustrating as well. I had a psi/rad brute, and between insight mechanics that drove me batshit crazy, it didnt feel strong at all. Also, I have an elec?/psi defender, and I had the same problem there as well. Damage just... well... sucked. Elec + water (cor or fender) is so much better it isn't even worth discussing.
  3. This is actually a good task for machine learning. You feed it hundreds of "valid" builds to learn from, the enhancement sets, and some goals. But like anything ML, it takes a LOT of input data. You definitely would not feed the model just the IO sets. You would feed it both the values of boosters, as well as attuned scaling, AND generics. Sometimes, generics really make the best choices.
  4. Sure, the ato procs are everything and a bucket of chicken wings. But buildup the power? I absolutely will trade every time a minor boost in situational damage for broad range constant affect, be it survivability or other, every time.
  5. Lots of ways to get them. Signature story arcs offer them as rewards, t hings like apex/tm offer them as well. Its a roll though, vrs outright purchase.

  7. Thats exactly how this would work. There are 2 sources of kb-> kd. sudden acceleration, and oforce. Avalanche adds chance to kd, which is additive to existing kb mag. Its not a converter.

  9. On mm, I just cant play them. I try and try and try, but just can never seem to be able to play one.
  10. I don't take buildup on 95% of my builds. For a brief period of bonus damage and tohit, or maximize always-on utility, I will always go for the always-on utility.

  13. That largely has to do with people not really understanding how it works. Ultimately, that is the result of unawareness/uncaring of people on the team. _I_ can survive, thats what matters. These are the same people that run +4 to them (+5 to everyone else) mishs that THEY can survive, and the rest of the damn team spends half the mish dead because those OTHER people cant survive. Using it is fine, but so many people just dont care about their teammates that it is (indirectly) something of a griefing tool. Much like +4 to me teams.
  14. Tank one provides big resists. Brute one helps maintain and build fury on teams where they move fast, helping a moderate player maintain a higher level of fury.
  15. Just ask people to not use it. Then nobody uses it (including you), and problem is solved.
  16. I am not sure. They certainly have an outsized affect on play. Importantly, you can slot them at 10, and that is an amazing boost to survivability/function/whatever. BUT, not everyone has them, or can afford to buy them (yes yes, everyone can be a billionaire), or is even aware of how potent they really are, so I am torn on it.

  18. I taught someone how to market in the current state on Excelsior. I gave them 2 enhs, a walkthrough, 1.5 mil inf, and unleashed them. In the course of ~3 days, they are up to 300+ million in casual marketing. That is enough to kit many builds, or at least pay the expensive flavor of BUY IT NAO enhs. edit: Inf for me is a revolving door. I spend it as soon as I make it. Altitis is a bitch.
