    Death Shroud

    Since you don't need to slot recharge, the most efficient is 3-slotting Scirocco's Dervish or Avalanche (acc/dmg, acc/dmg/end, dmg/end). Adding the proc will give you an accuracy (Scirocco's) or recovery (Avalanche) bonus, but procs in toggles only have a chance to go off every 10 seconds.
  2. ST damage is lacking and there's no heavy hitter unless you wait to get 3 levels of Perfection before using Sky Splitter. AoE damage is actually pretty good, as Staff has 2 cones (both 90 degrees with a 9 foot radius) and a PBAoE with a 10 foot radius. One of the cones also buffs your melee/lethal defense.
  3. I just leveled a Broadsword/Shield. While BS isn't considered one of the top scrapper primaries, it looks great with shield and is a lot of fun. It has good AoE - Slice is a 130 degree cone, Whirling Sword is a PBAoE and Head Splitter is a 20 degree cone with a 10 foot range. I built mine with Fold Space, which allows you to leverage the AoE. BS also has Parry, which adds 15% melee/lethal defense (stackable) for tough situations.

  5. Beasts only have damage resistance to S/L/C and rely on M/R/A defense for all other damage types. The best way to make them survivable is to add more defense. I run Beast/Traps, which has Force Field Generator but no heals other than Triage Beacon (which I only summon for long fights). /Cold should work if you're maintaining the shields on the pets (and the shields are slotted). Time should also work once you get Farsight. Are you slotting the Edict of the Master, Call to Arms and Command of the Mastermind defense auras? What about the Sovereign Right, Expedient Reinforcement and Mark of Supremacy resistance auras?

The stealth procs are unique but do stack with stealth powers (Steamy Mist, Shadow Fall, Cloak of Darkness, Energy Cloak, etc.) to provide complete invisibility to all but drones, snipers and other foes with +perception. No need to stack with the pool power Stealth, as that already provides complete invisibility.
  7. I would be OK with reducing the radius from 20 to 15 feet and cutting the endurance cost to 0.78/sec. That said, I do have a Fire/Nature controller that runs both Hot Feet and Entangling Aura and the endurance cost is manageable once the build is fully slotted.
  8. Mind Control is light years better on dominators than controllers. Dominators don't have to worry about damage or containment, and Domination makes Mass Confusion and Terrify far more potent controls.
  9. Did you expand the defense tab to see how the 77%/63% breaks down by source? I suspect that what's dropping after 15 seconds is any defense provided by toggle powers (Weave, Maneuvers, Combat Jumping, etc.). Power Boost will only increase those for its 15 second duration. However, if you activate Power Boost then activate Farsight, Farsight's defense will be boosted for the entire 2 minute duration of Farsight. I just tested on my corruptor. Without Power Boost, Farsight provides 14.77% defense. With Power Boost it increases to 22.14% for the full 2 minutes. With Power Boost and Clarion Radial it increases to 29.64% for the full 2 minutes. I can't test my controller since he hasn't leveled high enough to get Power Boost yet.
  10. Temporal Selection is a ST ally buff with +rech, +regen and +dmg. It also applies the Accelerated effect, which gives the target increased heals from Temporal Mending and Chrono Shift. It's definitely skippable and I've never run into anybody that expect to receive it. It's an OK buff, but nowhere close to Adrenilin Boost or Painbringer.
  11. You have more attacks than you need. Drop Shriek and either Howl or Shockwave. Pick up one of the epic armors and a travel power (or Inertial Reduction). Also, don't slot +run speed in Speed Boost unless you really want your teammates to hate you.
  12. Not my experience. I get the power boosted defense for the entire 2 minute duration of Farsight. Since I already had the Fire/Time, I did Ice/Kin.
  13. Crushing Field doesn't have -kb. You need to use Gravity Distortion (or Gravity Distortion Field), plus it gives you bonus damage.
  14. I've got a Fire/Time/Soul corruptor that's fully tricked out and an Illusion/Time/Primal controller that I'm leveling now. The corruptor is an absolute beast. Time has fewer synergies with Illusion, but it fit the concept and the team buffs/debuffs are still good. Always take an epic that includes Power Boost (or Power Build Up), which provides a huge boost to Farsight. Farsight is 12.5%/9.375% defense (primary/secondary) unenhanced and 19.5%/14.625% enhanced. Power Boost takes that to 20.8% on a MM, 22.0% on a corruptor, 26.15% on a controller and 31.79% on a defender. That applies to yourself and all teammates in a 25-foot radius for the full 2 minute duration. Time Crawl, the T1 in Time Manipulation, is a slow. (Time Wall, the T1 in blaster Temporal Manipulation, is an immobilize.) I generally 1-slot it with an accuracy and call it a day. In addition to the -recharge and -regen, the Delayed effect does a number of useful things: Increases -tohit, -dmg and -speed of Times Juncture Increases Time Stop hold by 1 mag Significantly increases -res and -def of Slowed Response
  15. Re-shuffle the enhancements between Ice Shield and Glacial Shield. You're underslotted for +def in Ice and overslotted in Glacial. Add another Sting of the Manticore slot in Zapp for the 7.5% recharge bonus. You only slotted the Vigilant Assault proc (and Sleet isn't a great place to put it since it's a 5 PPM proc). Not sure where you should slot them, but 3-slotting this set in 2 powers will give you 2x 10% recharge bonuses. Power Sink doesn't need more than 2-3 slots. Also, the Power Transfer +heal proc needs to be slotted in an active power, so move to Stamina. Power Boost doesn't boost Ice Shield, Glacial Shield, Arctic Fog, Benumb, or any -res, -dmg or -rchg in any other power. About the only things it boosts for Cold is Frostwork's +hp, Infrigidate and Sleet's -def, and Heat Loss's +/- end.

    Poison Defenders

    I've also got a Poison/Sonic. The cones make it somewhat awkward in melee range, but it positively melts hard targets. You can maintain 85% -res easily and get as high as 125% with stacking of Envenom (you need 2 targets with 8 feet of each other) and Sonic attacks. If you're looking to avoid cones, Ice, Radiation, Water or Electric would be good options.
  17. EM Pulse only accepts hold and end mod sets, and there are no end mod damage procs. The hold set damage procs will hit anyone. There are 4 you could slot (1 of which is a purple).

  19. Your assessment is flawed. Earth Control is a top-tier control set, having multiple means of both hard (hold, stun, sleep) and soft (knockdown, slow) control. It requires no changes. The ST hold in Earth is exactly the same as every other control set and the AoE hold is better. If you want to play Earth Control with damage, pair it with Storm or play a dominator.

  22. Only true with respect to Sleet, which summons the same pseudo-pet across all ATs. Every other power in Cold is more powerful on a defender. Both Sleet and Freezing Rain need to get the fix Dark Miasma got a year or two ago.
  23. Are you thinking of the Ragnarok chance for knockdown? Caltrops doesn't accept knockback sets.
  24. Going from memory, I have 28 lvl 50s (all T3 or T4 incarnates) and 2 characters that I'm currently leveling. I think 19 are on Excelsior and 11 are on Torch, but they do get moved occasionally. I belong to a SG on Torch that creates a set of themed characters and levels them together from 1-50 (then we start again with a new theme). We only play them once a week, so it takes a few months. On Excel I create new alts when there's a combo I want to try. I don't farm or PL and level everything through a combination of teaming and soloing.
  25. Slotting Gale for damage is a huge waste. It does all of 3 pts of damage. Gravity Distortion needs more accuracy. Slotting Freezing Rain for damage is also a waste, as is the +kd proc. Slot 2x recharge IO or a defense debuff set. Not sure what you're doing with Arcane Bolt. Why are you slotting for kb? Needs accuracy and damage. Add a kb>kd in Wormhole. Nowhere near enough accuracy in GDF. Slot Singularity w/ Expedient Reinforcement. Why are you enhancing kb? Not sure what you're doing with Tornado, but again, slot Expedient Reinforcement plus the kb>kd. Water Spout doesn't do kb, it does ku. You don't need the kb>kd.
