  1. I share that and I also share that. Good luck with your contest my friend! I can't even find a blaster for me so I doubt I can find one for you 🙂
  2. I'm still waiting for the day where you'll do Fire/Staff. I really want to know what you think of it. Or is it in there and did I miss it? I'm pretty sure I read it carefully.
  3. I just discovered that no one took the name Shock Norris on Excelsior. So yeah. It's mine now 😄
  4. I will go with 14 Billion because 14 is my favorite number. So there you go.
  5. Nononono not in the slightest! Your advice was as appreciated as everyone else's! Challenging an idea forces the player to think and come up with different solutions! Thank you for clarifying what you meant, it all makes perfect sense!
  6. I loved everything you said in that post. Thank you. Also: I smell new alts. This is why except my farmer, I don't have a single level 50 yet 😉
  7. I understand what you mean and I appreciate your advice. With Burst and focused burst however, I never have a single second without anything to click and level 32 will yet bring me a new toy. Though I understand that my method is not optimal. I was reading about the 10.5 seconds rule and the quest to find an attack chain that fits it as tightly as possible but somehow, imagining that I will be spending the vast majority of this character's life clicking the same 4 buttons in precise order so I can maximize my DPS somehow bleeds the fun out of the game for me. When you look at it this way, not only do you deprive yourself the opportinity of trying pool powers, half of your primary tree goes ignored. Maybe this is why I don't get the expected results but I want to believe that there is a way to be a relatively efficient Stalker without having to follow the cookie-cutter method. Am I too optimistic?
  8. Ok so, lots of changes since I started this topic, all thanks to the awesome advice you guys provided! Thank you! First of all, I have respeced so I could remove placate and my tier 1 attack. I also dropped Force of Will in favor of Experimentation, I want to try and see if Adrenal booster can be really useful on a Stalker. Worth trying out! Here is my current build. I did not plan ahead, I don't know a thing about stalkers so until I try things, I think it's pointless to try to pretend I know what I want at level 50. Mistakes are fine, respecs are only 1 Million and my personal SG base has all the container room needed to store sets I would spec out, no worries. Finally, what @tidge said appealed to me. I lowered the mission size from 3 to 1 player and increased the level from +0 to +2. LTs are now purple and with this build, they fall like flies. Super fun and awesome to play! This Villain build was built using Mids Reborn 3.0.4.7 https://github.com/Reborn-Team/MidsReborn Click this DataLink to open the build! 9. Thank you so much for the answers! Lots of good stuff! @Croax i'm looking at your build, you never took the Tier 9 Kin attack, why is that? Is it too slow for the attack chain? I also see that you skipped the assassin's mark ATO line except for the Build Up proc. The other 5 aren't really useful?
  10. Hello beautiful people! I was playing my KM/EA stalker just now, she's level 28 now, mostly plays solo, I'm using her to discover all the Redside content I've never seen. So, so much of that game I haven't yet seen on all sides and I have played since live launch. Most Task Force? Never seen them. I'm the oldest, most experienced CoH Newbie there is. So, my stalker, she's a good survivor. I play her at x3+0 which is respectable I think. She has all her ATOs (even though I have learned to become an ebil marketer and can afford my things now, to this day, @VileTerror remains her awesome benefactor). So she's a far cry from being fully decked out. I don't even have a build for her, I suck at builds. Apparently, I also suck at stalking. Here is how most battles play out. She's hidden. (duh). Targets the LT. Build up, AS, no more LT. Then Burst (PBAOE) to soften the masses, Energy Drain to keep the blue full and get me some defense and then, I start punching away with my sloooooooow actiiiiiivaaatiiiing KM single target attacks. By then, the mobs are running everywhere like squirrels on coffee and it takes me 30-35 seconds to eliminate a spawn of 4-5 even-level minions. It's slow. And tedious. I can't imagine going against larget or tougher spawns. What am I doing wrong? Thanks guys!
  11. Thanks so much for the answers guys! No need to change my method then!
  12. Color me extremely interested! To work well in a Rikti farm I assume you need good energy and psychic mitigation? (Psychic? Psionic? I never remember) Now all I need is to find a fun primary powerset to pair with Elec and I will go on a new farming adventure!
  13. I fully understand how awesome /Fire is for farming, my farmer is a spine/fire, her spec is very modest, really didn't spend much there and yet, with incarnates, she is utterly unstoppable, I can faceroll any fire farm ad +4/x8 no effort. My question is: Can OTHER farmers be achieved? Maybe not as reliable, but still farm worthy? I enjoy farming, it puts my brain to rest, but once in a while, I'd love to do it with different powersets. God that last phrase sounded so wrong.
  14. I was wondering... every farmer I see is a */Fire brute. (Myself included). Aren't S/L farms reliable? Aren't there Cold damage farms or Energy or toxic farms? Sure would break the monotony of all there burned out crops.
  15. Interesting. I keep seeing people on the forums showing white/yellow salvage sold for dizzying amounts of inf and no matter how much I sell, I always get around 100 for whites, 1000 for yellows and I sell a lot of salvage. Was wondering if it was because I was selling in stacks.
  16. Farming is fun and relaxing and it's an easy way to PL alts but, like everyone here said, doesn't even come close to marketing numbers. So if you want quick hard inf: Market. However. Farming can be helpful if you want to gear your alts without having to buy everything. PVP and VR recipes drop reliably well and we can agree that those two rank among the costly stuff you need when you make a build. Most PVP Enhancements will cost what... 8-9 Million? Farming will net you easy PVP recipes. Craft them (cost: 500K, not gonna count the materials because if you farm, you literally swim in orange salvage), Then convert it to what you like. Average 1 Mil worth of converters. Then catalyze it if you like for another 1.5 Mil. Total cost: 3 Mil. That's 6 Mil saved right there, for one enhancement. So no, my farmer doesn't really bring in the cash, but she makes sure that my SG storage is always full of nice things. And not having to buy nice things is equivalent to being rich.
  17. Since we're asking about how the broker works, another quick question: Does it matter if you list a stack of 10 of something or ten separate items? Meaning, if I put 10 Kinetic Weapons for sale, will they sell only if someone buys 10 of them in one shot or can they be sold to different people? I ask that because I never see sales for half my stacks. It's either all sold, or not sold. Thanks!
  18. Oh very nice! I'm going to shop me some procs then!
  19. So you're using it only for procs eh? I like the idea. I like it a lot. So if you proc for say, a damage type, and if it procs, does it proc for all targets in the AoE, or just the one that triggered the proc?
  20. Is there anyone with a decent DM/DA build that takes the recent changes to Touch of Fear into consideration? I can find quite a few good builds out here but they all date from before DM was tweaked. I'm just curious to see how people like to slot things now that Touch of Fear is all new and awesome. Thanks!
  21. I have my CoH and CoV boxes as well as a legion of those awesome comics they used to ship, all in mint condition. I'm a nostalgic 🙂
  22. Ok, let's shift this around and: what if I wanted to use the ISH out of the fighting pool. Cross Punch looks fun. Does it crit on a scrapper? Is is it worth taking punch AND kick to squeeze the 15%x2? I know I can test this all by myself, respecs are cheap, but I'm just curious to see what people think.
  23. I'm not the only one who thinks that! Glorious day!!
  24. I leveled a ranger to level cap a few years back but I hit the party wall really bad (where you can't solo anything anymore): I wasn't in a guild and the PUGs were either people who knew the game inside out or clueless noobs like me and there was no communication so every instance I played was a nightmare. I quit. A shame. The progression was a lot of fun.
  25. As far as Dark goes, I have a Dark.... something scrapper. Or is she a brute. Damn this Friday afternoon hits my brain HARD. Anyways, she's awesome. Hits like a truck. Debuffs everything. Never has any endurance. I should play her sometime.
