  1. I have no idea ๐Ÿ˜ž
  2. Ok, I will give that a shot, thank you @AboveTheChemist... ๐Ÿ™‚
  3. Thanks for the info @TheZag (and you too as well @srmalloy). Each bind is in its own file, but it still won't work. It keeps repeating the same bind repeatedly, and not move to the next one on the list. ๐Ÿ˜ž Its a bit frustrating, as I have no idea what is wrong with it, which is why I'd love for someone else to try it out too and see if they get the same results. Or just figure out what is wrong with it and/or rewrite them of course. ๐Ÿ™‚
  4. Ok, doing as you wrote, and using the binds you listed, trying them out they still do not work. Yes, it reads one bind find, but then when I hit the "Z" key again, it does not move to the next bind; it only still activates the first bind it read. Oh, and what exactly does the "silent" in "bindloadfilesilent" do exactly? I have never heard of that before. Oh and also, with these binds, do I need to place each one in their own separate folder, or can I store them all in one folder instead? Would that be why it is not working as written? And di you try these out yourself, and if so, did they work for you?
  5. Hi all... Recently, I have been attempting to create a rotating text bind, so at a push of a button, I can say things with my character(s). And while I know it cannot be random, I know there's a way to make one that reads off stuff in order. The guide I looked at also, I listed below. Unfortunately, after working on this for two days, I STILL haven't been able to get it to work. ๐Ÿ˜ž So in the hopes of figuring it out, and correcting it maybe even, I am here to show you what I have been working on (if you don't mind) and also look at it, and try it out yourself. Basically, I just wanted to create rotating text files that would say a joke in whatever chat I am in at the time with the press of the Z key (atm anyways). And then when I hit it again, it would move onto the next joke in the list. Unfortunately, as written, pressing the Z key only makes it read joke5, and then doesn't load up joke1 (or say any of the other jokes either). And yes, I have put all 5 text files in a folder called d&djokes, as shown below. I also use this command line in game to load up the 1st joke file: /bindloadfile "C:\CoHRotatingBinds\d&djokes\joke1.txt" And so far, everything I have tried, doesn't work at all... I used to be able to write up this kind of thing way back when, but apparently it kicks my butt now lol. So if you can, please have a look at my work, and if you can, also correct it for me so it does finally work please. That way I have at least the right stuff in the beginning to work off of. I am sorry to bother you with this, but I haven't had any luck with it so far... Thanks... Here is one of the websites I have used to research this: The Incomplete And Unofficial Guide To Binds And here are the text files I have been using... joke1 Z "say Wait. The Paladin who believes in the 'Sky Cow' doesn't believe in ghosts?!"$$bindloadfile "C:\CoHRotatingBinds\d&djokes\joke2.txt" joke2 Z "say What is a good D&D joke? THAC0!"$$bindloadfile "C:\CoHRotatingBinds\d&djokes\joke3.txt" joke3 Z "say Why do the elves have pointy ears? Thereโ€™s got to be some point to elves."$$bindloadfile "C:\CoHRotatingBinds\d&djokes\joke4.txt" joke4 Z "say What forest animal helps the druid get that nice green color for their robe? A dyer wolf."$$bindloadfile "C:\CoHRotatingBinds\d&djokes\joke5.txt" joke5 Z "say What material is the magic skillet made of. Itโ€™s made of cast iron."$$bindloadfile "C:\CoHRotatingBinds\d&djokes\joke1.txt"
  6. Man, that's just nuts! (But a super cool suggestion too!)
  7. Most excellent GL... ๐Ÿ™‚ And again, to all the winners & honorees, congratulations! Just remember to please come again and join us next Friday, same Celestial Time, same Celestial channel, when the ever cute GL will host's yet another CC! ๐Ÿ™‚ Where the next theme will be... <Em cue suspenseful music> ๐Ÿ˜
  8. The one power that I have always wanted to have access to, as it is actually in game already, is Twinshot's ability to create/summon an exact duplicate of herself that can be used as a psudo pet, including your costumes. This would scale with you, and would gain the same powers that you gain as you level up, and by the time you reached lvl 50, this duplicate would be an exact double of yourself except for possibly your T9 powers and/or your incarnate powers. You know, so there is some distinction between the two of you. ๐Ÿ™‚ Next, I would think that either an adaption or absorbing man type armor set could be fun too. Like if you touch a particular object, you would gain the properties of it in some way (like if you touched a car, you could run fast and have good S/L resistance). And/or, when you are hit by any attack, no matter its source, you would gain a scaling % resistance to said attack type. Like if you got hit by a Troll's fire blast, the first time you would gain 25% resistance to it, the second time 50%, and lastly the third time 75% resistance to it (being scaled of course if you were a tanker, brute, scrapper, etc). ๐Ÿ™‚
  9. Hiya's... ๐Ÿ™‚ I just wanted to say that this weeks TT was quite fun indeed! I was fortunate enough to gain Lady-Patriot (formerly named Minute-Woman) 10 lvl's last night, and boy was it fun to see her AoE's hitting in combination with everyone else's. So I wanted to take a moment to once again say thanks' to Warboss for having me, and to PLV for making me choose between following him or Warboss thre each mission; you certainly made it fun keeping up with you two, even though I did happen to get turned around a couple of times lol. I am not sure I will be there Saturday with Lady-Patriot again, but I will most likely be there come Tuesday (not that I finally got the time schedule right lol). Good times... ๐Ÿ˜
  10. Because... that's how everything is fixed these days it seems. Just hit it with a frying pan, and be done with it. lol
  11. Ummm... Hami? Sappers? Maybe the Knives of Artemis? ๐Ÿ™‚
  12. Yes... So to everyone... Bring your best 6 shooters, trench coats, cowboy boots & hats, Native American gear, or anything else you can think of regarding the Wild West!!! And please, always remember... We WILL be watching lol... ๐Ÿ™‚ (P.S: Special consideration to those who come as Trigger the Horse lol... maybe... ๐Ÿ˜‰)
  13. Glad you could make it! ๐Ÿ˜„ But nope, not Saturday.... Friday at 2pm Central, right after the Speed Hami run. I hope you enter again... ๐Ÿ™‚
  14. Hi everyone... ๐Ÿ™‚ As a non-tentacled member of the CW, I just want to say that not only is this SG great, but also that GL, Maya, and others in it are great people here as well, that do a lot for the community in general, such as hosting this Costume Contest every Friday after the Speed Hami run, leading the 2pm central time MSR most times (way to go Taco Maya!!! Can you say Taco? Sure you can!!! ๐Ÿ˜„), and generally being awesome in support of bring fun and helpfulness to all of us. If T'rel wore a hat, I would tip it to them... ๐Ÿ™‚
  15. Oh btw , @Sanguinesun (and any others who are interested, which I hope you will be), may I please direct you to this thread here... Celestial Warriors Friday Fashion Contest & Other Announcements... I hope this alleviates your concern and good points... ๐Ÿ™‚
  16. Yeah... Transparency is not the HC Dev's style I am afraid, and hasn't been since, like, forever. However for the sake of looking at both sides of this issue, many business follow the same practices, including internet one such as Google. And while CoH HC is not anywhere near the galaxy as far as business comparisons goes with other such big name companies, they are a business make no mistake about it. They may not make a lick of bread from us (no subscriptions to play, remember?), but they do follow a business model, follow the same practices as many of them, and as such, ARE a business. And I am sorry to say, that REAL businesses' do not listen often to the community they serve or deal with, especially when it comes to transparency. It's just not good business sense to do in the long, and sad, run is all...
  17. Yes, I agree as well... ๐Ÿ™‚ Especially seeing that the Sly Old Fox, if I am not mistaken, said in a earlier post that he/she would not be able to make it to the "Criminals" Costume Contest. I myself was happy to see him/her show up and at least get Honorable Mention. ๐Ÿ™‚
  18. Having given this a bit of thought, while I find that the idea is a very good one and has some merit considering how old the game is, and the tools that were used to develop it (compared to the tools available to us today), I do not think that this will ever be implemented with things as they are now. First, there are the points @honoroit mentioned, which are very valid even today. Second, there is the fact that everyone who works as a Dev currently must sign a non-disclosure agreement, and those people are heavily monitored big time to ensure this is not violated. Many of those who worked on the Dev crew said this was so, so it's a given anyone who would and/or could help in this regards, would have to do the same. In which, more than likely, the people in question would just be asked to work "officially" with/for the Dev's, and that too could possibly be problematic to some. And third, there is the aspect that the Dev's "might" be still in talks with those who hold the actual IP of the game itself. As we have no idea on the status of this in any way, I am sure the Dev's tread very carefully in all things in regards to the game's development, including the tools used on it. So in closing, while your idea is a very good and kind one @Herotu, which could help the game itself in many ways, I do not see it happening at all unfortunately. I could obviously be wrong of course, but I sort of doubt it...
  19. Congrats!!! ๐Ÿ™‚ Unfortunately, your next mission will be finding 7 citizens and saving them from a ton of malta with lots of Sappers that just want to say hello to you... personally. Oh, and 2 of those citizens will be stuck behind walls where you sadly won't be able to find them. ๐Ÿ˜ž Everything in balance as usual heh...
  20. Fantastic job again everyone. The winners, the contestants, they were all great costumes, and surprisingly (at least to me), some very creative and nostalgic ones as well. And to the rest of the Judges, great job again in choosing from this very hard selection of creative people, not to mention a special shout out to @Goddess Laucianna for organizing and running such a great event for everyone in this great game our ours! You all rock, and we all roll because of it. Let's make the next one even bigger and better! ๐Ÿ˜ P.S: And one BILLION Influence? Holy Costume Contest Batman!!! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
  21. Most people swear by it, even though I have not tried it myself... ๐Ÿ™‚
  22. Me, I'm running something slightly better than what @Snarky is showing lol (Great pic btw)... Alienware PC Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700 CPU @ 3.20GHz 3.19 GHz Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.8 GB usable) System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor And with a Terabyte solid state hard drive to boot, I am all set. ๐Ÿ™‚ I am currently running with my in game graphics set to ultra max, and even during a hami run or a MSR, the game is running with no lag to speak of, or if I get any, its very, very little. Oh, I am also using a slightly older 31" Panasonic TV for my monitor as well, everything is generally clear as a bell for me, and clear sailing. In fact, yesterday I think I even saw @Snarky sitting on the edge of the Rikti Mothership cheering on the Rikti as we battled them. Pesky Villain Vampires, thinking that they are all that, and a bag of blood chips... ๐Ÿ˜‹ (Jk Snark Man... Please don't bite me lol... ๐Ÿ˜)
