  1. What I think is that minimal Bio armor makes you look like Pigpen from the old Peanuts comics. It isn't intolerable, but you have to plan your costume around it.
  2. This, please. My personal style in AE is to put almost all of the story related text in NPC chatter. This at least makes it available to players other than the leader, who is the only one who usually reads contact and mission text. Right now the only way to add NPC chatter that works is to add boss fights, which apparently work somwhat as intended. Some map context sensitivity in the description algorithm might also be helpful. My most recent story is classed as 'short' by the algorithm, because it has only one mission on one map. That map is the Atta troll cave, and the mission is not quick in practice.
  3. I would think that force field would be a basic part of the most basic defender package. Mind control or plant control would be the most basic controller.
  4. In the pre-invention game that was a constraint on builds, basically requiring you to take a deep pool power in addition to Stamina. But since the Karma and Steadfast Protection -KB IOs have been in the game since i9 IIRC. the hole turned into a benefit for characters with deep pockets and a supergroup that could be used to transfer one IO -- not completely trivial in the days of rent and base costs -- and now they aren't even that. They don't even add flavor to the sets. Now, being knocked around and into things is iconically comic-book, but it just doesn't translate into the pace of play expected here.
  5. The armor set I prefer to have for Arachnos is Radiation Armor, Electric Armor works well also, and is something I'd prefer to use for something like Scirocco story arcs with their massed Mus. It helps that my Radiation/Spines tanker has Focused Accuracy, which helps with the most annoying thing about Arachnos, the five minute blinds.
  6. 'Immigrant Song' in Old Norse
  7. La Hell Gang - Inside My Fall
  8. One of my oldest friends in game, from back on Victory days. So very sad to hear that he didn't make it.
  9. My suggestion would be to wash the area in warm water with a small amount of bleach (maybe a tablespoon to the quart) and baking soda added. This will at least help the raw areas heal faster. And bleach is generally sovereign against anything from mere organic chemistry.
  10. Jack White - Lazaretto (SNL)
  11. Neil Young - Revolution Blues
  12. Chopin - Piano Sonata No. 2 in Bb Minor
  13. Black Sabbath - Megalomania
  14. My current tanker project (2/3 of the way through 49) is rad/spines, conceived as a moneymaker and drops earner for my newer Torchbearer SG. Having just gotten the character to the S/L softcap, I think the rest of her build and her incarnates will focus on increasing DPS. This is also one of the better tanker primaries for taking to Hamidon raids.
  15. Now we must carefully unpack this to determine what omens it brings.
  16. You really had ought to taste the silica gel.
  17. Some kind of lorem ipsum would be my guess.
  18. My chief form of in game roleplaying is that each character eventually fills the number pad with banter binds and trash talk. This started with Heraclea, who wanted actual taunts with her Taunt. These all go to Local to prevent them beeping up team/league chat, with the possible exception of one that's used to heckle cutscenes. ('Possessed by a dust bunny? I bet your momma's so proud.') These serve an in game purpose in that they let the team know what my target is; if I have targeted the AV or found a stray bud, this lets them know while adding a bit of character. This is also the chief tool for characterizing my characters. The elaborate soap operas some people make for their characters are mostly internal.
  19. The Deadfly Ensemble - Horse on the Moor
  20. Got Baldur's Gate 3 yesterday, and finally got it working today. (Don't bother with that Vulkan thing, no idea why they wanted to reinvent the wheel that way.)
  21. You can also ToT in Cimerora, which I always find amusing. Worth it just to ToT at Rommy's big bronze gate. Single doors and mission entry caves work, as do the doors behind Imperious. Not sure if Eochai or Jack can be spawned there, might be interesting to test that.
  22. And the problem with resistance is that in itself it only resists damage. The chief problem Regen has in this material is that not only does it have very little native damage resistance, but that it also eats all the debuff (-recharge, -heal, -regen, -HP, -recovery and etc.) attached to that attack, without debuff resistance. And unlike defense, and to some extent resistance, debuff resistance mostly can't be built for with special enhancements or set bonuses. I took Ageless on the regen scrapper I mentioned (tanking regen brute has Barrier) and it does not cover all the bases. Ideally Regen should shrug off all these debuffs like Electric armor shrugs off endurance drain. Again, for an armor set depending on click heals, the availability and usefulness of those click heals should be preserved. In the current level 50 game it's too often left with nothing.
  23. Johnny Nash - I Can See Clearly Now RIP Johnny Nash
  24. This is as much a design flaw of the later added, Incarnate level, and Praetorian content as it is with with Regen per se. There are just too many enemy attacks you just can't be hit with.
  25. Van Halen - Ain't Talkin' Bout Love RIP Eddie Van Halen
