  1. Relentless is, and will be according to the devs, an optional setting. Using it as any measure of agreement is irresponsibly presumptuous - doubly so when it seems to be made more as a response for people wanting to make difficulty more customizable for themselves, as opposed to any sort of measure to curtail, police, or even discourage what you describe as cheap tactics.
  2. Starving night widows would KILL for 15~ End!
  3. In order; Number of Sentinels made and abandoned since the last update Number of people who willingly undertook the Synapse TF "just for fun" Half of Veracor's veteran level More numbers for you all: 72, 2,520, and 211.159
  4. The Nazi commander powered by an evil energy alien was one of the first big baddies? Im stunned, befuddled, shocked, astonished and quite frankly bamboozled! Truly, this game was ahead of its time... Jokes aside, it's weird how these rabbit holes work. I'd have thought the first guy woulda been the Clockwork King given his general "hokey comic book super villain" energy, and how oddly pervasive he is (almost like a mascot, in a way). We should do more of these history lessons, because like, Ive helped kill Hamidon at least 10 times and I mostly still dont know why he's a big deal. Like, I heard he's a scientist turned giant unkillable amoeba that turns people into giant nature monsters and that's the total sum of my knowledge.
  5. Wait... youre the one that started this tangent.
  6. Ive tried that too. It looks... ok. the Talon hoods we have here are helpful too, even if they take colors oddly. As for the costume differences and variants, Im not too affected. Like, there's some things guys get the ladies dont get, and vice versa. It's tragic my fellas will NEVER be able to wear the labeux thong, but, it is the price they pay for being able to wear the almighty kilt.
  7. All it will take is a hundred people with veteran 100! Totally doable. Doubly possible if Veracor joins.
  8. While we're at it, can I get some Nun Habits? I'd ABSOLUTELY rock the gun nun. Especially the obligatory SEXY gun nun.
  9. Of course Requiem came first, he was born in what? 1920?
  10. What youre taking issue with is a strategy employed by players. The META game. The person at the keyboard who says "the game doesnt stop me from doing this, so im going to do it" and then falsely attributing their results as a product of game imbalance. You have no problems with Inspirations, or email allowing the transference of items, you have a problem with a player saying "ill just keep like, 20 of these super inspiration in here for my solo MLTF run" and then saying, because of these strategies, a mechanic isnt balanced. THAT is a very, very slippery slope I dont think is at all good to entertain. WHERE do we draw the line on "nerfs" on what ISNT a "fault" with the game, but the player? Do you think this feature should be removed for the people who use their email as storage for EoEs? How about people who run, jump around, or use as many obnoxious VFX as they can in PvP? Seems pretty unsportsmanly to me... better just remove all VFX, and root players when they get into pvp, yeah? TL;DR - Dont hate the game - hate the player, playa.
  11. I agree, but this also sounds really entitled, i assume intentionally so because that's really funny and I can't imagine this argument would be made genuinely. Like. I agree that people shouldnt be complaining over something as trivial as using the email system to send yourself insps so you can undertake challenges that, ultimately, has no effect on the way you personally play or enjoy content. But to deride them as people who don't know the "struggle" of having to click and claim your win condition is just as silly as complaining about email insps, because you click and claim your win condition. As far as the SOURCE of this topic is concerned, which is to say, "Should we allow this sort of strategy to be employed in SPEED RUNS" which is a competitive setting, I also think it's kinda wack to cry since we can quite simply have a "no inspirations" category. Which I think is what a lot of people who MAKE the arguement of "oh this is cheesy" forget. Ultimately, I say this game is big enough that it can be played however we please, and these discussions should remain in the realm of "matters of opinion".
  12. While I generally agree with the majority of this statement, I will say that people dont complain about OPness (hehe p-ness) when it directly benefits them. AE farms, raids, and other content (especially when SPEED is more a factor) the raw mechanical superiority is often highly appreciated. I know if something like, a Spine/Fire brute could clear SBB in under 5 minutes Im not certain how many people would cry about not getting to smack a rikti monkey. Likewise, there are absolutely people who see the mechanical exploits of Skyrim and voice complaints about seeing a naked hairy nord with a spoon deal 186654925936 damage with said eating utensil. I think it's definitely a space where people dont want to feel like theyre wasting their time with their effort, more than anything. Like, I dont feel people look at like, an Energy/Energy Stalker 3 shot a boss that's supposed to take 6 people to beat and go "man, screw THAT guy! En/EN is SO op, what a loser!" they go "Oh. Well. That was easy. What is MY character lacking in comparison? Is it really just his numbers are THAT big arbitrarily?" because that's the main family of arguments you see about the differences between classes too. Like. People complain that the brute can be JUST as tanky as the tanker due to how their caps work? I dont have an opinion on that specific argument but people make it NOT because theyre like "youre ruining my experience by being my mechanical superior" theyre saying "There should be a larger divide between our fields of expertise". Like, you DONT see people going like "Man Scappers are fucking DISGUSTING compared to Tankers, theyre damage is just so high! Where do they get off, huh? Having MORE damage than me! How dare." Lisewise with Corruptors and Defenders. I feel it's more about wanting to not see someone else doing YOUR job BETTER than you, which is why beneficial mechanical superiority is rarely ever brought up (plant controllers, nature and/or sonic defenders, super reflexes tankers, etc).
  13. ARTILLERY WASNT HERE DURING LIVE WHAAAAAAAT?!
  14. Requiem really did just take a look at the chest decal and say "I want THAT but BIGGERER!"
  15. While I totally appreciate the sentiment, I think there's the implementation of rewards of honor, and war trauma can be very potent if done well. I'd cite Disco Elisium and Spec Ops: The Line as games that explore recognition of service and the mental toll of armed conflict respecitvely. Without spoiling either game, I think the crux of quality lies in HOW we find out about these things. For instance, if youre TOLD by a character or the narrator or something, to the tune of "Oh man, that's John Warhero! He got 11 purple hearts, and 6 medals of honor as well as the two galatic stars of infinite celestial valor! He's probably, if not definitely, the most honorable and well decorated and successful and humble soldier OF. ALL. TIIIIIME! He saved the President! And the UN! And his platoon! and an orphanage! ALL. AT. ONCE." then it's a blatantly transparent attempt at building up a character as a hero without any effort, which defeats the point OF these recognitions of service. Likewise, if you have a character or the narrator go "That's John PTSD, he was the battalion commander of the Doomed Souls brigade and he and his team got stuck in the Death Woods for 666 years and he watched all his friends get eaten, melted, skewered, and worse! All while he had to shoot puppies and children with chemical weapons against his moral conscience but man, war sure is hell, so he did it and now he's a loner who doesnt talk about annnnny of this. He also has a token drinking problem, probably because of the total horror of all this traumatizing backstory that's just been exposited" you also due a massive disservice to those who pay for their survival with their sanity, It's not fair at BEST, and at worse it flanderizes mental trauma. Mass Effect is a good example of doing it wrong, AND right at the same time. The begining of the game (with the right background) has a group of characters sitting around talking about Commander Shepard's traumatic service history. It's incredibly disengenious. But, later in that same game, you encounter quite a few OTHER survivors of traumatic events - who were under the command of Shepard in both cases (again, depending on shepard's service history) and those situations are handled fairly well in my opinion, and the "Paragon" responses for Shepard in those situations are appropriately respectable.
  16. I really like the crab spider. It's disgustingly end hungry and god help me there's just not enough global recharge in the world. It is probably the most high-maintance toon I've ever played. I'd like to try the bane, since it seems more efficient, but... it's like. My brain is mush? And I can't think of how to build them or what attraction they ACTUALLY hold outside of my unfounded assumption about them being less thirsty for resources. Any help or guidance would be nice!
  17. Presidemperor Nemesis gave them to him, clearly!
  18. Little Miracle, for the ultimate irony of course!
  19. Another one for the Arachnos Soldier VEAT When using no helmet options the character loses the option to customizing boots. The [Wolf and Helm] & [Crab/Bane] options, there's no problem. But... At a guess it's because the non helmet options add a multitude of head options that are basically "pushing" the boots options further than it'll display, since you can change your boot color through linking your costume colors It applies to any character customizer (Creation, Tailor, and Trainer), regardless body type. Edits were made to the images to reduce filesize and to indicate the issue.
  20. I dont remember. It's a part of the mission set you get from the Kheldian. I think it's the second or third mission of that arc? I cant recall.
  21. Challenge Accpeted: Rock Guy He's a rock. And a guy. But mostly. He's a rock guy. rock guy.costume
  22. Three things: Article 1 - Boobie bow I like the ruffle texture and the fact it opens up below the waist which would, ideally, make pairing it with a skirt a great way to make a ballgown that DOESNT use Balereo. Article 2 - B I G halberd Battle Maiden has this enormous halberd and it's super cool. Compare it to the one we get in Staff Fighting and prepare to cry. Article 3 (no pic yet) - Labeux Pelvic curtain In the Oroboros mission where you save the fashion show, a few of the runway models are wearing the Labeux belt, but THEIR version has cloth drapping between the legs (and I think the butt too, i didnt get a good look). Id share a screenshot but Id need a stalker or something since the area is populated with CoT who'd attack on sight, and upon defeating them the models all run away. I'll try to grab it later.
  23. What's the class and powerset? Alignment?
