It's all a Nemesis plot from the '20's anyhow...
-
Just at my desk with the speakers on moderately high so I can hear the glowies over my tinnitus. I'll play for an hour or three depending on my back and attention span. Not in a hurry when I play, so I play tactically...so tend to not use a lot of inspirations outside of really tough (orange or red) fights...or more than six mobs. Due to altitis, highest level toon so far is 38 with most being in the 20's. Getting old sucks though I am looking forward to official retirement in a couple years. 😉
-
It can be used to 'scout' around corners for mobs blocked from sight as well giving you a few precious seconds to setup for the now aggro'd foes. IMO it's a pretty good little power for the set.
-
Altitis struck again... so gold-side now has Volt Rigger (Elec/Dev Blaster) flying around making sure your vote goes to Emperor Cole this coming election year. :P
-
The RIP and PPD are going spare with all the 'suspicious packages' reports coming in. They really want to have a word with whomever is leaving them all over the place...especially the Ordinance Disposal crews. The missing packages are probably ones they have actually got to so far. 😉 lol

Been giving my new toon a workout this weekend on red side; General Killerwatt, he's a power in his own mind and totally skipped the chewing gum.

I spend almost all of my time on red side doing paper missions trying to get contacts to do some 'real' stuff after Mercy. So yeah...I get ya. Blue side I go to the Hollows since KR is all skulls nearly all the time. >< Even the low-mid is a lot of hunts as well between TI and IP. Taken to doing alignment missions rather than contacts in those zones. A lot of the contact missions could use a real overhaul IMO both blue and red side.
-
I switch between blue, red, and gold as the mood hits. But I'm also solo by preference. One thing I have noted is that there are fewer transition contacts between zones, especially Mercy and Oakes unless you've joined up with Graves. That is a bit of an unwelcome headache...as well as the villain missions not really seeming all that villain-like outside of textual context. I'm mainly on Torch but never seen things totally deserted yet...I always seem to run into one or three other toons flitting about.

I went to tabletop mini's and RPGs though I gave WoW a run for about a year in there too but dropped that just before Cataclysm.

My condolences to the family, friends, teammates of Punchy.

Just a kid...that sucks. 😞 Condolences and sympathies. -
Gender also gets involved with some expressions and word use. Boku vs Ore (sp) are mentioned often in translated light novels and manga for instance. Then you have the written forms; kanji, hiragana, and katakana; the latter two being syllables vs the ideogram of the former. My 2nd grade teacher was a survivor of Hiroshima and liked to introduce bits of her home culture to us with activity and art projects. :) Great teacher too.

I made the mistake of attempting to learn Latin since it was a root language of several...what could go wrong? One root word can be an entire sentence depending on the suffix used...and as a result, I also found I have absolutely no talent for languages outside of english as I cannot memorize the words involved without years of daily use. I should have gone for German or French back then...at least those are in the ancestry. Hats off to ya Snarks for the progress. (the neck guard stays on though...sorry, but I've heard the stories ya know?!) :p

RIght up there with Super Unknown. LOL

Hero Corps....counter mercs against the Sky Raiders. :P Or Malta. But yeah...you can't exactly trust "heroes" that pay more attention to what they are getting paid vs having an actual ethical commitment to the safety of the general public. One of the things in the wars of old; mercs could turn on you in the middle of battle simply by getting paid a better offer making them the worst sorts for inclusion into a military force. Still...they could serve as an interesting faction; finding them on missions doing questionable things as foes or turning around on another mission and having them come in as allies. But then, we have the Legacy Chain which seems to fill that function it seems.

I actually managed to keep him alive for the first time the other day...and he actually seemed to get stronger after surviving the first half of the run...still, he must have no mind to keep charging into groups of clockwork by himself...

Red side - not sure if anyone else has the same issue, but definitely a lack of contacts when switching zones. Have to almost always run paper missions when arriving. Gold side - fun place and it actually feels like a city despite the lack of traffic on the streets. More varied content would be great. Blue side - anything but Skulls, Sky Raiders, and claustrophobic tunnels/passages. Would love to see Galaxy come back with anti-Shivan missions, Hollows content centered on taking back the habitable areas around Grindle's Gulch. A mission rescuing Super Unknown would be amusing too. Mini-TFs for us solo player types would be cool too: the main guy being wrapped up with larger affairs and needing some assistance with less grand but still urgent issues.

Subway is a lot different than sewer and storm drainage Scarlet. It doesn't depend on gravity to run. 😉 lol City I was the engineering inspector for has the most pump stations in Oregon...and I've designed several hundred such systems over the last four decades. Doesn't mean I don't see it as a weak point in the infrastructure, especially when in a civil war situation. As to traveling...who the heck can afford to do that on a single income?
-
Didn't say it wasn't...I'm a civil engineer tech and know of several towns here on the west coast that are below the adjacent water level. I doubt the NY tunnels have a barge dock in them though. lol Just seems to me though, that if the ghouls or rebels are such an issue...simply flood the tunnels. Problem solved. Though it might knock out your power/comm grid as well...;)

Nova Praetoria cities are all built just above sea level....yet you have tunnels that extend way WAY below sea level with a slew of electrical and communications conduits, transformers, relays, etc. along with the barges and water ways. Storm and Sewage certainly aren't going anywhere without a LOT of pump stations....assuming you ever find the treatment plants.

My recently created totally chill Ice/Time Blaster named Rime-Time.
