I think that got rolled back. A shame because if healing sets were allowed in there, that's where I'd put a Preventative Medicine proc

Master Brawler: Pros: Toggle on, and forget it. Doesn't interrupt your attack chain, and the endurance drain is consistent. Cons: If your endurance gets gutted, you lose your status protection. Practiced Brawler: Pros: If it's still running, and your endurance dips to 0, you won't lose status protection. It also doesn't constantly drain endurance. Cons: You have to click it, or put it on auto-fire (which you can only do to one power). Interrupts your attack chain and chomps a little over 10 points of endurance each time it goes off. In the rare cases of defeat, you will want to wait for this to recharge before you stand back up to fight. I prefer Practiced Brawler, and other click-activated mez protections, even with the shortcomings. I will also echo the advice to not make the character 100% Rock Lee. Not just to protect yourself and Homecoming from consequences, but to give you enough freedom to make the character entirely your own!

We all need to hang our heads in shame that the first to make an earnest "Happy Holidays" thread is an undead, blood-sucking dungeon dweller... Happy Holidays, and Fröhliche Weihnachten!

The Trouble with slotting the Critical Strikes ATO…
The Trouble replied to The Trouble's topic in Scrapper
My stance has always been "put it wherever you'd like"... but with Claws? Followup is just perfect for this ATO. I'm also prepping the spreadsheet for the impending Panel 2 changes, and I'll add Sonic Melee here as soon as I know how to get the animation time/animation time before effect numbers outside of City of Data. Disclaimer: I'm no expert! I'm just trying like crazy to make something helpful for a community I deeply appreciate. -
This Jedi speaks wise words, @graeberguinn. You pretty much need Endurance Reduction in your attacks, and all the defense in Evasive Maneuvers disappears as soon as you start a fight*. So Endurance is solved. Now to make you sturdier... I think one more DEF slot in Ninja Reflexes and Danger Sense will help more than you think. It's "only" an additional 2 defense points to Melee/Ranged/AoE, but that doesn't fully illustrate the impact that will have on your survival. Swap Evasive Maneuvers with Combat Jumping (with 1 EndRedux) - another 2 points of defense there. Slot Bo Ryaku with the Steadfast Protection and Gladiator's Armor procs for another whopping 6%. All that with Hover puts you just above 34% defense! If you can spare two slots for Shinobi (one EndRedux and one DEF) puts you above 35%. These are respectable numbers. I'm at 35% on my Martial Arts/Ninja Scrapper, and they're at +0/*4. *Edit to add: If you fire off all of your attacks in sequence, you just ate through 71 points of endurance. With 1 level 30 EndRedux IO in each, that number comes down to 52(!)

Two endurance heavy powersets like that will be tricky. Do all of your attacks have at least 1 endurance reduction enhancement in addition to your shield toggles? If not, that will help you. Aside from that... 1 Recharge and 1 Endmod in Seishentekti Kyoyo would grant you about 40% of your endurance every 45 seconds. Lean into this power! If you're willing to stretch beyond simple IO's, then put at least two slots in Health and Stamina. Put 1 Miracle proc, and 1 Numina proc into Health (if you can afford it, the Panacea proc can hit harder than Numina, so consider 3 slots to get everything). Stamina should get 1 EndMod, and 1 proc from the Performance Shifter set. Psionic Mastery and Energy Mastery both have some endurance help at level 41, but I understand 4 more levels probably sound pretty daunting with your current issues.

There are so many options on the feminine body type that would work well for a highwayman/dandy concept I'd love to make. Also, the long hair options for the masculine types are awfully slim. "Don't worry, we have both 'ponytail' and 'scragglechump'!" For representation, for expanded character concepts, for the lulz... outside of the logistic work already addressed in the OP, I see no reason to keep denying me a belt with a clock on it. <shakes an angry fist at the sky> Count me in with the hopeful that HC can find someone with the time and expertise to port all textures and models to every body type.

page 3 [FOCUSED FEEDBACK] Spines Adjustments
The Trouble replied to The Curator's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
This is all I've ever really wanted, but all the other adjustments came anyway! No leveling, instead played on a level 50 Spines/Stone Brute I transferred to test. Spines feels less plodding now, especially when the fight has thinned out to just bosses. Boss fights used to feel like playing a Tanker with under-slotted attacks, but on test are slow-and-steady without being frustratingly slow. The snappier cast times makes the set feel more flowing. Lunge is really worth having now? What a time to be alive! I wish I had more actionable feedback, but I can see these changes getting Spines more love from the community. -
I got that part, but I do appreciate you wanting to clarify the point. Especially after my years-long misuse of the term 🤦♂️ What I thought "flipping" was: Buying unpopular crafted enhancements for below the crafting cost, then converting them to more sought-after enhancements. I thought of it like house flipping. Buy a cheap house, do some quick renovations, then sell.
-
Wait... this is flipping? I've been misusing the term in CoH context, then. Now I understand the skepticism when I claimed this was a profitable enterprise. Today I learned!

I have a level 50 Spines/Stone Brute with a build that has everything I like. He's so fun that I've gotten a few Vet badges without crafting even one Incarnate power because there's nothing that needs shoring up. Usually when this happens I just lean into anything that boosts damage, but this time I find that idea really boring. Can anyone suggest Incarnates to pair with these powersets with whacky or unexpected results? P.S. To anyone on the fence with this AT and power combo: It's really fun. A sturdy AoE monster. Make one 🙂

I'm going to also say Psy/Energy because I have one, and want other people to see how much fun it is! I was recently on that huge Freakshow map, and my fleeing target faded out of draw distance... and not once did I get the warning "out of range!" Up close, or even a mile away, nothing you face will be able to keep their teeth with a Psy/Energy Blaster.

Becoming entrusted with the secret makes it very difficult to venerate Lord Nemesis 🤷♂️

Step 1: Log in to the character you want to be "Super Respec-ed". Save their costume. Step 2: Log out and rename them. Step 3: Create a new character. Load the saved costume. Give them the old name. Step 4: As you level this character, go ahead and reacquire the badges you left behind. Congrats, you just saved 2 billion 🙂

Your defense debuff resistance is so low that I think chasing defense cap is a losing game. I think this is the core of your frustration. Personally, I would chase pure resistance, and regen/absorb. Your blue bar is apparently suffering greatly as well, and the plethora of recharge in this build won't help you. Devour Psyche is your best friend (although inconveniently a cone). You can max out it's target cap simply by re-applying it to even just one badguy. It deserves more slotting with a focus on health and recharge. As far as what damage is from procs: Right-click the power, and select the Info tab. The Damage window will give you a breakdown of where the damage comes from. I believe the default shows you the average damage to account for when the proc doesn't go off. The good news is that Axe/Psi look like a really nice pairing. There is a whole lot of potential here... an optimized build would make this character a beast. It's also good that you had a direction, and found pathways to get where you wanted to go. I just think that direction is a bit flawed. Do you have any interest in build examples that don't bother with the 45% defense softcap?

But what about weirdos like me that like it's current functionality? I don't need to be in the middle of the crowd to effectively fire this off, and I really like that. As a PBAoE, I could accidentally use Spinning Strike with nothing in range, and evaporate Combo 3 for no reason. It feels strange to advocate for the tiny kernel of wisdom that lies in the center of the Cottage Rule...

I have a Darkness/Psi Tanker that I love and continue to play well beyond level 50. That said, I still agree with most of what is said here. I dislike the Lockout, and never bothered with Boggle. What's impressive about Psi Melee is that, without any enhancements, it softcaps your Fonzie stats.

"dialog_yes" is the base command and will select OK, Yes, or Accept on any menu prompt that has focus. Since you want it as a button on your Power Trays, then all you need to do is copy-paste /macro OK dialog_yes into your chatbox, and hit Enter. "OK" is simply the button label, so you can make that say anything you want.
-
You could try: /macro OK dialog_yes Or bind it to a key of your choice since a macro can imply clicking... Enjoy!

Natural, Invulnerability and Super Strength Build?
The Trouble replied to Frosteez's topic in Tanker
You appear to be pretty new to Homecoming, but that doesn't necessarily mean you're new to City of Heroes. Are you well versed in the lingo and general vibe of the game? I think a lot of folks would love to help, but you haven't given us much to work with in regards to your preferences. Survival, damage, or an evenly mixed focus? A leveling build, or one that assumes you're 50? Going all-in on set bonuses and the like, or just standard Single Origin enhancements? Do you have endless funds, or a modest budget? What flavor of Epic/Patron Pool? While sturdy, my personal build a bit clumsy, really expensive, and I skipped Rage... which is one of those set-defining powers that makes me sound crazy for ignoring it. I'd post my build if I thought it would help, but I think it would mislead new folks, and enrage veterans. -
Yes, it'll run on Steam Deck.

The Trouble with slotting the Critical Strikes ATO…
The Trouble replied to The Trouble's topic in Scrapper
It should, for the most part. But admittedly, the first percentages were typed-in rather than made by formula (bad practice, I didn't plan for how big this was). This would mean my Titan Weapons with Momentum numbers in the post are still off... Everything in my sheet is now fully formulaic, and definitely includes the local recharge... but I clearly need to update every table in the post. I'll fix everything later today (Done!). Huge thanks!
