  1. I could've sworn that I read that they removed the Vanguard Badge requirement for instanced MSR, no longer making it a thing. Have you tried running an instanced MSR recently, or am I imagining things?
  2. I would like to highlight this, put a gold border around it, and slap stickers all over it. Wonderfully stated!
  3. I think you're overthinking things a bit. 😅 Oh, that's simple, if someone isn't doing anything to contribute, we can kick them from the league to make room for someone who will contribute. That's one of the nice things about this whole instanced raid thing, people who cause issues don't become dead weight that we need to carry around for the rest of the raid. And like I said earlier, sure, we do have a Blacklist, and there's exactly one person on it. And they're on it because they've harassed or been creepy to multiple women. That's it. So, as long as a person doesn't harass others repeatedly, they probably won't make it on to the blacklist... after all, nobody else has. As someone who leads the Hamidon raids from time to time and is good friends with most of the others who do too, I promise you, this simply isn't how it works. We take who is available. Often times we don't even have enough regulars for the necessary roles and ask new people to fill in for the roles. And our invitation process is "Ask for an invite in broadcast" and then we start inviting people from there. It's all pretty transparent. 💙 It'd be the same for recruitment process for instanced raids too. Basically the same as it is for most large group content in the game.
  4. You could make the same argument for Task Forces and even mission teams. But the fact is, we're in a large community of people, and the Hamidon leaders are pretty well-known, if the leaders started abusing players, they wouldn't be leaders for long. And there are 48 spots in a Hamidon Raid. It's not a clique type of thing. We need everyone we can get to make it work, that's *why* we want instanced Hamidon, to make sure everyone *is* working towards the goal.
  5. Making a change to leagues that benefit people who want to be in the leagues shouldn't be contentious either. If someone wants to play solo, that's great! But they shouldn't be expecting to get the benefits of league content while remaining solo. and, I should point out, it's not like we're talking about people having to meet specific incarnate or accolade requirements, or anything like that. Generally the bar for joining a Hamidon league is saying in Broadcast "Here for Hami" and that's it. If that's too much of a hurdle to overcome, I don't know what to say, lol.
  6. But even your reason for flipping and saying you don't like it is... Well, I'll be honest, I don't understand it. 😅 One singular person, who may very well be a trouble maker, will have more difficulty finding a raid if they become instanced... And that's a good reason to stop everyone else from having a dramatically improved experience? And if your concern is that more people could suffer a similar fate? Like I said, on Excelsior, for the Abyss runs, we have only one person blacklisted. And like Laucianna said, it was for VERY good reasons. We *don't* just blacklist people willy nilly. If we did, the community would turn on us pretty quickly, lol. So, you can rest assured that won't be a problem. 💙 The goal after all, and the whole point of this suggestion, is to make sure that as many people as possible are able to participate, contribute, and have fun. 💙💙💙
  7. There is so much to break down here, but we'll start with this. Yes they are, and yes they do. They are hurting 49 other people in the zone by not contributing to the event being held, sometimes even causing the event to fail, and everyone losing out on the rewards. I'm specifically referring to people who jump in, hit Hami then jump out, or who run around the map depositing Hami buds elsewhere, or who just have one attack on auto-attack while otherwise afk. There are a multitude of problems people can cause, which CAN negatively impact others. I don't know who you're refering to, but I do know the people on Excelsior who run the Hamidon raids in the Abyss (I'm one of them), and to my knowledge, the number of people blacklisted can be counted on one hand, using one finger. And even if the players attending don't know why, everyone who leads the raids knows why. And if there were instanced Raids, that person would be more than welcome to run their own. We've had people not in the league scatter Buds around the map. We've had people who are *in* the league do things like attack Hamidon once then jump out, or who set their attacks to autofire and do nothing else to contribute. Maybe the Hamidon buds thing is reportable if we can prove they were done intentionally, but the others? Those are just bad players. It's not the GM's responsibility to police people at that level. That's literally the responsibility of the Raid Leader. And what we're asking for is a tool that will allow us to exactly that. Again, a lot of this problematic behavior is not the GM's responsibility. That is the Raid Leader's responsibility to fix. If someone in the raid is not contributing, that's *my* problem to fix, not a GM's. As Raid Leaders, we want to make sure *everyone* who wants to participate has a chance to do so. And by participate, I mean contribute to the Raid's success. We don't require incarnates, or even that they be level 50, but we do want them to help us fight. That feels like an entirely reasonable request to me. That means instanced Hami. That way we're not wasting spots on people who are trying to leech the rewards without contributing. Or wasting potential spots on people who aren't even in the zone for Hami or are AFK. If there are 6 leechers in the raid/zone, and we could remove them and have 6 *other* people who want to be there and contribute be able to join. That's a HUGE win for our active Hamidon community. As others have said, this is no different than requesting that Task Forces be instanced. We want people who participate and contribute. That's all. 💙
  8. That's just it, I'm saying they *should* have the ability to do that. ie, Instanced Raids.
  9. I think what you just described is exactly why it needs to be done. Raid leaders *should* have the ability to exclude people that cause trouble for their raids. Just like Task force leaders can exclude troublemakers, mission runners can exclude troublemakers, etc. And if those troublemakers *really* want to do it, they can always start their own raid, and see who still wants to join them. If they *actually* did nothing wrong, I'm sure it'll be no problem at all.
  10. The thing is, we've been noticing a LOT of bad behavior lately, with very few options available to use to do anything about it. Like today, we had someone who would literally jump in, hit Hami once, then jump back out. We've had people AFKing, who have an AOE on autofire, but otherwise aren't contributing. It's become a bit of a mess. Remember, there are real people scheduling, organizing, and running these raids, these aren't something that happens automatically. And they're doing it to help their fellow players have fun. When they see a half dozen people taking advantage of that and making it harder for everyone else, while still getting the same rewards as the people actually putting in the work, that's very discouraging.
  11. I'm a fan of the overall concept. 💙 But I think it may be too complex in practice, as when you look at most of the inherents, they're pretty straight forward and can be explained in a sentence or two. I'd imagine that right out of the gate, the overflow would need to go as constantly updating team buffs like that are not really a thing CoH does right now, and I don't see the Devs adding that functionality from scratch. As far as what the actual benefits of the Shift would be, I'll leave that to more numerically inclined Kheldians like Laucianna, Koopak, Doom, etc to figure out, lol. I trust that they'd come up with something useable. Also it would be important to remember that any change to the inherent would not happen in a vacuum, it'd accompany the full Kheldian Revamp which may change power numbers, animation times, Damage Caps, and probably even the way shapeshifting itself works. There'd be a lot of moving pieces to juggle all at once. But I *do* hope that the Inherent is something that gets looked at, and remade to focus more on shapeshifting in some way, as the current one is essentially nonexistent in that it literally doesn't exist when solo 😑, and does nothing to encourage any type of thematic gameplay when on teams. And as far as concerns about how it would affect human-only Kheldians, I have none. Human-only Kheldians are basically the same as Petless Masterminds, sure, they can do it, but players should understand that when they ignore an AT's focus, they're not necessarily gonna get all the toys, that's literally what they're signing up for after all.
  12. The Devs, GM's and Community have created something really special here. Even in the short time I've been playing, I've made some incredible friends. I'm thrilled to be able to contribute to this, thank you!
  13. What I was looking for specifically was just if there were still blank price histories occurring since that's what it sounded like the OP was observing, as well as a few others. I'm no longer getting blank price histories just looking through items at random. I can take some screenshots of them not being blank, but that won't prove much. 😄 BUT having said that, I just checked the post-bid history of the item you screenshotted, and that DID turn up blank. And putting in the bid actually caused the original history that I was seeing to disappear. Even though it's listing was not blank for me *before* placing the bid. Other items I've been bidding on did not have that problem. (I'll also include a screenshot of it's current actual bids, just for reference)
  14. I'm not saying you guys aren't experiencing this... if you are, you are. - and it should definitely be addressed! But that's REALLY weird to me, because after the update, past bids now appear for me 100% of the time, without any problems at all. I just double checked and everything I clicked on across every category had the history pop up instantly. Whatever is causing this for you guys, it's definitely not a universal issue.
  15. I'd love to see something like this! For starters, it might help me remember to log off in the correct zone for the Badges I'm trying to get, lol. but yeah, definitely an upvote from me.
  16. Something else that might greatly improve the New Player experience is fixing how the power selection tabs work. Currently, the two Power tabs are only clickable in the very upper-left most corner. The rest of the tab is unclickable. I think it'd make sense if the entire tab were clickable, that's certainly what I personally would expect. (There's a few other buttons that work this way too, but these two are the most extreme.) Just in case it's a screen resolution issue with the boxes not properly scaling to account for screen resolution - My screen resolution is 3840x2160
  17. I'm liking the updated Peacebringer numbers. For me personally, these feel pretty accurate to my experience in the game.
  18. I've never seen one in a Fire Farm, so I doubt it.
  19. I was thinking something similar. I'd like to see the playstyle choices at character creation reflect the assigned roles in the diversity bonus. Mainly so that there are no surprises for new players, and everything stays consistent.
  20. I clearly remember there being multiple instances of Atlas park on busy nights shortly after launch on Live. 2 instances were pretty common, and I feel like I remember a few times it even went as high as 4. (but they may have had smaller thresholds early on, or I'm misremembering) So Homecoming, as it is now, seems pretty inline with what I remember from my time playing early CoH in terms of population. I definitely remember Rubberbanding was a HUGE problem, comparable with Asheron's Call's rubberbanding. So all of these problems feel like nostalgia to me, lol.
  21. ...that's kinda the point of this whole 14 page discussion. 😅 There's a fear that people will start being excluded from teams because of their AT's not being the correct role. (Besides, I wasn't complaining or anything, I was just explaining to Paradox why the devs did what they did regarding Kheldians)
  22. Well, to be fair, the underplayed thing was just my added commentary, not the reason they did it - Kheldians were made more attractive for this bonus because- A. We need to be on a team for our Inherent to work. (This was the reason the Dev gave earlier in the thread) B. We were specifically designed to fill multiple team roles as needed using one build, ie, their intended design is versatility As far as the VEATs... I dunno... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ But if you wanna talk improvements to Kheldians! I'm right there with ya! 😄 But that's a topic for the next patch I think, lol.
  23. If this diversity bonus is going to make it to live, I still like this solution the most. 5 different AT's in the group? You get the Bonus. And then the remaining 3 slots can be duplicates. Like you said, this will likely do a much better job teaching new players about the diversity of AT's and their versatility. (Plus, this *still* benefits me as a Kheldian since it's one of the least played AT's, Bwahahahahaha!)
  24. The issue isn't the name, it never was. The two issues that people are concerned with are - 1. These "Groups" don't line up with the Playstyles shown at Character Creation. For example, If we tell New Players that Brutes are Melee Damage, but then don't count them as being Melee Damage when it comes to teaming up in the game, that's misleading, and a bad new player experience. And that goes for all the AT's that are listed under multiple playstyles at Character Creation. At the very least, the Playstyles at character creation and Roles in this bonus need to line up. 2. There are concerns that this will teach new players that you *have* to have specific roles at all levels of gameplay. This is a significant enough award for new players/characters, that it *will* be used by them, even if it's not how the game works. ...and if you make the award so insignificant that it doesn't matter and nobody cares, you've created a system that doesn't need to exist. It's basically a lose/lose. (Personally, I'm more concerned with the first issue, and less so the second) (Plus as I've said before, I mostly play Kheldians, so the planned implementation benefits me greatly)
