Thanks much, @Number Six Followup question though: are all these threads still locked to only utilize 2 processors or will they be spread out amongst all available physical processors (or logical?) Or am I simply misremembering and threads were never locked to just 2 procs and it only seemed that way because the vast majority of the work was being done in the Main and Render threads?
  3. I had a fire control/stone assault dom at 50 and she was just NOT clicking with me. Deleted her, recreated her as an Earth/Fire dom and she is now GLORIOUS. Massive lovely control, good aoe and st damage output, hovering in safety while locking the baddies down and laying forth mass burnination. Love her.
  4. Similar discussions went on for weeks on the pre-snap forums about incarnate leveling. Some people absolutely loved how everyone was forced to team to get anywhere. Any discussion about speeding up the solo path was met with damn near hysteria. Guess who's laughing now, #*&$(*#$&(*#&$#?!?!?!

  6. That's what I was hoping and no, I didn't dig deep. Gonna have to do some diggin to find out what's what. Added Threads to the TaskManager Details tab and it shows CoH is using 16 compared to say, explorer.exe that's at 61 threads, so that tells me nothing as to whether it's still locked to 2 cpu, be they cores or hyperthreaded's fake cores. (But I'm on an i5, so no hyperthreading anyway.)
  7. Interesting. Pretty huge damage buff to ranged attacks. Considering Gloom was already a goto power pick for brutes.... won't this rather drastically buff it into psychotic levels? Or is it already currently using the melee damage modifier?
  8. As I now have a shield/mace tanker in the 30s... I'll be back to this thread for ideas. My current plan involves maxing recharge for a tight ST attack chain and ample use of shield charge/whirling mace. Also... mace taunt has the best of the taunt animations.
  9. Depends on the writer. Juggie just needs his helmet cut off and then just about every psi user out there can drop him. Hulk? Can't build him in game. He'd be what you play in that crazy "here's your future-you, fully capped out and incarnated to everything and can defeat everything" Ouro mission. Or he's weak to fire. Again, depending on the writer.
  10. "SR has a mez hole to fear! SPAM THE FEARS!!!" That's my concern with smarter AI in this game with its current limitations but I get the point and agree. And your statement about higher levels is probably true given that my team got bugged with a +8 EB in Posi1 the other night. We got the job done with Ultimate insps and overloads of huge yellows and reds but that's not really a challenge so much as a PITA to get around.
  11. I'm still partial to the 2.5% +recovery and +25.1HP from 4-slotting perfshiter... but that's pretty old and ingrained and may very well be useless considering buffs from other uses of those two slots.
  12. As one who loves SR above all other mitigation sets, I'd actually be ok with this change. Even Spider-Man can be overwhelmed by numbers.
  13. My claws/sr brute did test out better with radial over core for pylons. What I do NOT know is whether this at all holds true in normal gameplay with AoEs against hordes of our enemies.
  14. I currently solo DA repeatables at +4/x8 w/ bosses. I'd like to see 2 things: Turn off Minions and Lts (convert to Bosses, EBs) And/or ramp the scaler up some more. +6/x10 w/ bosses or the like. At some point, the +side of the scaler will stomp the crap out of anything but I'd like to test where that spot is.

  16. I'm just happy knowing I get to log in when I get home at the end of the day. I even donated for the first time this last month an amount that I feel is fair for a year's worth of access. I do not in any way think that this entitles me to anything beyond the ability to log in. Hell, even if everything got shut down tomorrow I'd consider it fair for the time I've played to date. Everything else that happens is gravy and I'm thankful for it. Sure, I'll throw in a few "hey wouldn't it be nice if" requests to the suggestions forum but I have zero expectations such things will come to pass.
  17. Sorta true. Base rewards were slashed in half by the HC team. But anyone going to get PLed is going to grab the 100% XP booster which still functions in AE at the original values. So if a boss gives 50000 XP normally, a player benefiting from the XP booster will get 75000 XP for that boss while in said AE mission. It's still faster to farm AE than to PL in say, DA, just due to the number of enemies present per run and the complete lack of wasted travel time.
  18. Nothing about this game is "hard." I now find the pre-32 game simply "boring" unless I'm hanging out with some themed superteam from 1 on up. And I don't do that very often. But after playing the "right" way for 8 years, I see no reason to torture myself again with low game tedium when it takes 30 minutes to PL an alt to 32.
  19. Thanks, @nihilii, but I'm still confused. From da webs: Tanker-1874.1-3212.7 for base and max HP. So absorption is capped to base HP, thus the 1874 you have listed. How does the Absorb% increase? If my tank has 2200 HP, how much does the Absorb% change? Is that change before heal enhancement, after, does it matter?

  22. Takes me 2 hours to PL a new alt to 50. My farmer is on my 2nd account. The amount of rocket surgery knowledge it takes to build and run a farmer? 0, nada, zilch. The amount of work it takes to create a 2nd acct? 2-3 mins? As @Vea just stated, other people do nothing but slow me down. This was as true when I was farming 666 vet lvls in DA as it is for getting a new alt to 50. If other people would rather dump inf to let someone else do the "work" involved and there are people happy to take said inf for their "work" then all power to 'em. As for real money issues, ban those farkers for life. And for those that would pay real money? They're obviously stupid enough that life will deal with them appropriately and probably soon.
  23. General rule I've been following is this: AT Damage Mod 1 or higher, go with Core. AT Damage Mod less than 1, go with Radial. Rule seemed to hold up under pylon testing with various alts.
