A few other mmos have this as a feature already. I'm always surprised when I come back to COH and find that they have not implemented that feature here. -
Yeeeeeah most of these are probably a non starter. Folks already complain about the existing OPness of the current Incarnate Slots. This would not fly under HC. LOL

I'd prefer and exchange rate from threads to whatever new currency. Just a new currency that everyone will have to earn again from zero, would pretty much mean I'm done with any further incarnate slots. The absolute LAST thing this game needs is yet ANOTHER Currency that we have to farm up from 0. It's one of the reasons I have grown to hate the Aether Costume system and simply don't participate in it. It's also one of the large reasons I don't bother with Champions Online now adays except once in a blue moon.

And the ones making the suggestion assume that their suggestion is 100% perfect with no room to be game breaking problems (like this suggestion) with no room for feedback or suggestions, unless it's 100% positive. -

See some of the suggestions that have been suggested over the years I would very much hate this. And a link giving credit is a terrible idea that can lead to problems later down the line. Also that is a realistic suggestion for a fully paid dev team. It's not for a volunteer team. I and many others have asked the question previously (and in this thread): how do you get the team the resources needed to make churning out suggestions into real development work a reality (at least at the level some expect of a PAID dev team). Still waiting for an answer that won't get the license pulled from the team. -

The amount of changes needed to balance all the ATs against each other would probably result in a version of City of Heroes that a majority of players would not want to touch with a ten foot pole. That and the amount of dev and tester resource time needed to achieve it, would mean such a game would see life near the time of the heat death of our sun. lol

Pretty much where I am. And it's not just KB. If you take on aggro in any way AWAY from the tank or brute, etc, great. Just be ready to deal with it yourself. -

Personally, I don't give a shit what you do as long as you can deal with the aggro you get. COH teams move so fast that stuff flying all over the place I've seen to be the norm this days. Most of the time I like it (feels more like a comic book than a sterile mmo where we wait for the tank to gather or herd things) so I just let it go, as long as folks aren't dyeing. On a 4-5 start Hard mode run, different story. But for regular COH play, I think folks complain way too much about KB. -
The question is not if AI can do it. The question is can AI do it to any acceptable level on a large scale product that you intend to make a profit with. The answer today is so far a resounding no when it comes the software life cycle needed for large IT projects. There are some tools that can speed up some aspects of development or testing, but not without a heavy human resource cost to watch and review what is being outputted. Now in 5 to 10 years a different story. But all that was not the question of the thread, posted by the OP. I also think some folks in this thread are vastly underestimating the difficulty of convincing the IP owners to make another game With this IP. Also to answer an earlier question, FUCK NO would I be okay with the current COH servers shutting down to accommodate some mythical COh 2 that would probably be a terribad product based on today’s live service gaming standards. So likelihood of us getting a COH2: more than 0, maybe 1 percent. Likelihood of us getting a GOOD COH2: I would put the chance in negative numbers. lol

There is no large fan base for anything like COH2. And you would need that to even get the idea of the idea for COH2. NCSoft isn’t just going to do it out of the goodness of their hearts.

LMAOOO I've been on New Dawn and sure as hell we don't need more slots. The folks complaining about feature creep would have their heads explode.

I think it's ALSO an issue that they don't have the resources to do this. A bug was found with something they wanted to implement (regen changes, if my memory is correct) in the last beta. And instead of going through every power and fixing the issue they were forced to roll it back, due to lack of manpower. You could have the best release process (and yes, HC doesn't have this) and list of things to fix or enhance in the world, but if you lack the devs (and testers) it ain't getting done in next five to ten years. (speaking from experience as someone who has worked pretty much every job in software development on small, medium and large teams).

Personally other than some sets not having enough slottin options for procs I think they are fine as is, but we lost that argument in many closed beta and open beta discussions lol
