  1. I see them as well.
  2. FYI, you don't even need to enter the thread to report a post. just hover over the topic and when the popover appears you can click 'Report post' in the header to the right.
  3. Couldn't care less, but then... maybe I'm Borat. <.<
  4. It was against the rules back on Legacy, but not here and the HC mods don't seem to mind about necro'd threads, especially if the info within is still useful. Granted, I find it fairly common that a simple word search can lead to posting in an older thread. Quite frankly, I think there are more important things to get my knickers in a twist about these days. For instance: Man-buns... scratch that. I used to think man-buns were stupid but then I realized one day that men have just as much right to wear their hair up out of the way as women do, besides it's not my hair so why should I even gives a rodent's backside what they do with it. Women wearing inappropriate clothing... scratch that. Just because I wouldn't wear something doesn't mean I have the right to tell someone else, who is perfectly comfortable in their own body, what they should or should not wear, more power to them. Men in skirts... Actually, I'm not sure if I ever cared about them wearing skirts but I do recall a story about a male USPS worker back in the day that the regs allowed the wearing of their uniform shorts only during certain months regardless of the weather, while female workers could wear skirts year-round, so he began wearing a skirt. Kudos to him for thinking outside of the box. Don't worry so much about the little things folks. <shrug>
  5. Also, in the a lorry would equate to what it typically referred to a 'box truck', used for delivery of goods in more localized regions. A truck can also refer to the set of non-drive wheels under a locomotive or rail car. And because I will take any chance I can get to post about this, here is the Union Pacific 4-8-8-4 Big Boy locomotive. To understand the enormity of this train, you can just see the shoulder of a person in the far right of the photo, compare them to the drive wheels. Those drive wheels are 68" in diameter (172.7cm), the overall length of locomotive and tender is just under 133' (40.47 m), and ways a staggering 594.75 tons (539548.1kg). Please excuse my train crush.
  6. Back on Legacy I had built an apartment floor with a reception area and 4 or 6 separate apartments. With the new tools Homecoming has given us I may try to recreate it.
  7. Don't forget that the nearly endless customization CoH provides in colouring powersets. Prior to availability of Water Blast I used Fire Blast coloured for water and it worked really well. I have a character now that uses Water Blast coloured for sand, since she's an Apsasu.
  8. It is.
  9. As people have pointed out in nearly every section of the forums, CoH is not like other games, never has been. Back during Legacy, players had an unequaled window and access to the Devs, both in the forums, in the game and in person for those of us that were fortunate enough to attend the HeroCons, something that most other games don't do. I don't expect Homecoming to adhere to that level of interaction with the players nowadays, because CoH is a passion project not a job for them. Posting in the 'Suggestions & Feedback section, posters should to allow for players to provide feedback whether they want it or not.
  10. Using the far left column of colours with Minimal FX/Colour Tintable is about the best you're going to get when it comes to many of the armours.
  11. Title screen theme and music are generally determined by the last character you logged out of, so if your last played character was a villain the next time you launch, reside theme/music is present. Same goes for blueside/goldside. Unless you parameters in the launcher options so it will launch with the same theme regardless. Not sure if there is a parameter for it to randomize between the three.
  12. None here but I had two back on Legacy. I had a Grammaton Cleric When DP came out and I had a dual-sword veterinarian on Freedom... Sorro the Spay Blade.
  13. If I could afford Babbel, I would be joining you in learning another language.
  14. It was it this point that I started laughing hysterically... in my head, for fear of terrifying the cats.
  15. What content do I wish I were playing? Goldside level 35-50.
  16. The Tequila launcher still works. Perhaps it might be the manifest you are pointing to?
  17. My first tank, Bio/Savage Melee: Umbralclaw
  18. Did you make sure it was plugged in?
  19. Oh, you meant more "cookie cutter" and less "3D". :D Probably take a pic of one of your character in a pose, make a silhouette out of it and shape a cut strip for a heavy pie tin and form it into shape, or save yourself some time and cuts and upload the silhouette to someplace like this: https://custom.cookiecad.com/
  20. A quick search did not yield anything for Field Operative and it appears that Beta is currently down si I can't go on to check. But like Symphonic Control, Devices may borrow sfx files from other powersets. The closest my quick search through my files resulted in was SOUND\OGG\POWERS\GLOW8_LOOP which is used by the Bane Spider's Cloaking Device. If you've never modified any of your sfx files before there are just a couple of extra steps you need to take first. Go to you CoH install folder and create a folder called 'data'. Within the 'data' folder, create a folder called 'sound'. Within the 'sound' folder create a folder called 'ogg'. Within the 'ogg' folder create a folder called 'powers'. Now, in the link @Luminara provided above, you will find a silence_bloop_test.zip file you can download. Drop a copy of the silence.ogg file into the 'powers' folder and rename the file 'glow8_loop.ogg'. Now launch CoH and test. If you no longer hear the sounds that annoyed you, Conga ratz! Some powers may be troublesome as they may contain more than one sfx, though one is usually a trigger/activation sfx and the other may be a loop. These can be a pita to track down and that's why I use the bloop.ogg file as it's easier to id than silence. Good luck. :)
  21. If you had quoted the posterior head-adornment, then that post would have gotten nixed along with the quoted post. Same happened to mine and that's okay. I don't expect the devs to follow some rigid time-table, heck, I don't expect them to follow a loose time-table or one set by Nerf Darts®. Quite frankly, I'm just happy that the lights are on and I can once again enjoy playing with my Legacy peeps that are here.
  22. On Legacy I had a Trapper with the huge frame at minimum height named... Land Mime.
  23. I was thinking that creators being able to set each map to day or night would be more beneficial to their needs. Heck, being able to apply Dark Astoria's moodiness to any AE map would, I think, be awesome. There are several other mission maps with special atmospheres that could be added: red, hazy post-apocalyptic, Keyes Island sooty, under a dark cloud, and several others.
  24. I had heard that term before, but it didn't come to mind. I'm not a coder per se, but I am interested in it on a pedestrian level and I'd be curious to see what improvements have been made in that arena I believe that the CC is somewhat separate from the rest of the game code, as there was a stand-alone costume creator (available in Korea) back during Legacy. This does not mean that it's code is also not a mess. :) Adding costume pieces to any of the body types can run afoul of breaking existing costume pieces just because of the location in the drop-down. It why new stuff is usually tacked onto the end.
