  1. Oh, you meant more "cookie cutter" and less "3D". :D Probably take a pic of one of your character in a pose, make a silhouette out of it and shape a cut strip for a heavy pie tin and form it into shape, or save yourself some time and cuts and upload the silhouette to someplace like this: https://custom.cookiecad.com/
  2. A quick search did not yield anything for Field Operative and it appears that Beta is currently down si I can't go on to check. But like Symphonic Control, Devices may borrow sfx files from other powersets. The closest my quick search through my files resulted in was SOUND\OGG\POWERS\GLOW8_LOOP which is used by the Bane Spider's Cloaking Device. If you've never modified any of your sfx files before there are just a couple of extra steps you need to take first. Go to you CoH install folder and create a folder called 'data'. Within the 'data' folder, create a folder called 'sound'. Within the 'sound' folder create a folder called 'ogg'. Within the 'ogg' folder create a folder called 'powers'. Now, in the link @Luminara provided above, you will find a silence_bloop_test.zip file you can download. Drop a copy of the silence.ogg file into the 'powers' folder and rename the file 'glow8_loop.ogg'. Now launch CoH and test. If you no longer hear the sounds that annoyed you, Conga ratz! Some powers may be troublesome as they may contain more than one sfx, though one is usually a trigger/activation sfx and the other may be a loop. These can be a pita to track down and that's why I use the bloop.ogg file as it's easier to id than silence. Good luck. :)
  3. If you had quoted the posterior head-adornment, then that post would have gotten nixed along with the quoted post. Same happened to mine and that's okay. I don't expect the devs to follow some rigid time-table, heck, I don't expect them to follow a loose time-table or one set by Nerf Darts®. Quite frankly, I'm just happy that the lights are on and I can once again enjoy playing with my Legacy peeps that are here.
  4. On Legacy I had a Trapper with the huge frame at minimum height named... Land Mime.
  5. I was thinking that creators being able to set each map to day or night would be more beneficial to their needs. Heck, being able to apply Dark Astoria's moodiness to any AE map would, I think, be awesome. There are several other mission maps with special atmospheres that could be added: red, hazy post-apocalyptic, Keyes Island sooty, under a dark cloud, and several others.
  6. I had heard that term before, but it didn't come to mind. I'm not a coder per se, but I am interested in it on a pedestrian level and I'd be curious to see what improvements have been made in that arena I believe that the CC is somewhat separate from the rest of the game code, as there was a stand-alone costume creator (available in Korea) back during Legacy. This does not mean that it's code is also not a mess. :) Adding costume pieces to any of the body types can run afoul of breaking existing costume pieces just because of the location in the drop-down. It why new stuff is usually tacked onto the end.
  7. Kinetics Fulcrum Shift, where on a full team you go directly from buffing to a Mastermind with minions that (generally) have a much better AI.
  8. No idea why but when you mentions "maid" I thought vacuum and created a Grav/FF Controller named Dyson Sphere.
  9. Seems appropriate here...
  10. A discussion in another thread reminded me of this... Camel Toe Song from Bob & Tom show
  11. Heck, one or more of my characters would go for a dead tree from one of the outdoor maps, wouldn't mind a burning tree either.
  12. I've managed 5 costumes so far for Soda Khan, posted over in the costumes thread.
  13. Costumes so far for Soda Khan, my TA/Water Blast Defender with Water Blast power colours matching the costume.
  14. Thank you @Solarverse for your years of creation and support for the sfx-modding community. You effort and hard work has been greatly appreciated. 🔉⚡
  15. Welcome back to the fold!
  16. For starting out, I'd put my money on Dark or Illusion/Empathy Controller. Both Dark and Illusion will provide pets and crowd control via sleeps/hold/fear making mobs less problematic for your teammates when they are shaking in their boots. Empathy has PBAoE team buffs and single target buffs for your team. Depending on your team your may need to learn to buff on the go, rather than calling for folks to gather. If some are quick to dive in and move on, I'd recommend buffing with the PBAoE when you can hit the most, likely jumping into the middle of the brawl. If you want more pew-pew and less cc, you can opt for an /Emp Corruptor which will give you ranged attacks rather than crowd control. My very first character back on Legacy was Kinetics/Archery Defender but it's not the easiest to wield. Kinetics offers some lovely enemy debuffs that will also buff teammates that are near the target, but it does require an enemy target and you have to hit them.
  17. This occurred back in 2004-2005 and was resolved. The lawyer that tackled Marvel's lawsuit was introduced at the 2008? Hero-Con and got a standing ovation. Welcome back!
  18. The folks I play with are actually folks I played with back on Legacy with a range of SG's from themed, to overflow, to solo. Don't think I've added anyone new to my Global that wasn't also on it prior to shutdown. Most of our play is 'kill most' regardless of it being a mission, bank or TF/SF.
  19. I may have missed some (oh and even numbers are usually for right foot and odd for left foot, if you want to go that far): \DATA\SOUND\OGG\FEET\FF_CATWALK_01 \DATA\SOUND\OGG\FEET\FF_CATWALK_02 \DATA\SOUND\OGG\FEET\FF_CATWALK_03 \DATA\SOUND\OGG\FEET\FF_CATWALK_04 \DATA\SOUND\OGG\FEET\FF_CATWALK_05 \DATA\SOUND\OGG\FEET\FF_CATWALK_06 \DATA\SOUND\OGG\FEET\FF_CATWALK_07 \DATA\SOUND\OGG\FEET\FF_CATWALK_08 \DATA\SOUND\OGG\FEET\FF_CATWALK_09 \DATA\SOUND\OGG\FEET\FF_CATWALK_10 \DATA\SOUND\OGG\FEET\FF_CATWALK_SWEETENER_01 \DATA\SOUND\OGG\FEET\FF_CATWALK_SWEETENER_02 \DATA\SOUND\OGG\FEET\FF_CATWALK_SWEETENER_03 \DATA\SOUND\OGG\FEET\FF_CATWALK_SWEETENER_04 \DATA\SOUND\OGG\FEET\FF_METALPLATE_01 \DATA\SOUND\OGG\FEET\FF_METALPLATE_02 \DATA\SOUND\OGG\FEET\FF_METALPLATE_03 \DATA\SOUND\OGG\FEET\FF_METALPLATE_04 \DATA\SOUND\OGG\FEET\FF_METALPLATE_05 \DATA\SOUND\OGG\FEET\FF_METALPLATE_06 \DATA\SOUND\OGG\FEET\FF_METALPLATE_07 \DATA\SOUND\OGG\FEET\FF_METALPLATE_08 \DATA\SOUND\OGG\FEET\FF_METALPLATE_09 \DATA\SOUND\OGG\FEET\FF_METALPLATE_10 \DATA\SOUND\OGG\FEET\FF_METAL_01 \DATA\SOUND\OGG\FEET\FF_METAL_02 \DATA\SOUND\OGG\FEET\FF_METAL_03 \DATA\SOUND\OGG\FEET\FF_METAL_04 \DATA\SOUND\OGG\FEET\FF_METAL_05 \DATA\SOUND\OGG\FEET\FF_METAL_06 \DATA\SOUND\OGG\FEET\FF_METAL_07 \DATA\SOUND\OGG\FEET\FF_METAL_08 \DATA\SOUND\OGG\FEET\FF_METAL_09 \DATA\SOUND\OGG\FEET\FF_METAL_10 \DATA\SOUND\OGG\FEET\FF_METAL_SWEETENER_01 \DATA\SOUND\OGG\FEET\FF_METAL_SWEETENER_02 \DATA\SOUND\OGG\FEET\FF_METAL_SWEETENER_03 \DATA\SOUND\OGG\FEET\FF_METAL_SWEETENER_04
  20. You just need to locate an appropriate sfx and replace the stock sfx, that's what I did with mine. I also decreased the volume on both Bots and Demon Lt's since they are so frequent.
  21. No, whatever sounds you change will be universal. If it sounds like rain on one character, it will sound like rain on all of them unless you swap out the file with another sound bite. This also does not affect just your characters, but anyone playing the same powerset. That's why a team of Bots MM's rolling is so pancaking hilarious.
  22. Like you, I looked in there but never actually played the files. Slackers.
