Whoops, I forgot. I don't normal have time for full reviews though.

I've been thru that too. I generally these days try to take god-builds into consideration, but stick to ditching anything I don't want (still very against Tough+Weave), and then see if ti works OK. If not, then I might rework it. But most of the time I do just fine anyways.

Woo, secret insider knowledge! I mean, at least to me... maybe it was already known that all of them were being rejiggered...

If I had to go with just one, probably my Savage/Shield stalker. I have a number of pretty good toons where I either lifted a build straight from these forums, or took one and somewhat adapted it to fit my own particulars, but my stalker is one I put the most work into because I was going in such unconventional directions with: I wanted all the combat TP powers I could get. It's not an optimized build or anything, "why didn't you take Fold Space?!" but he's a blast to play and he's all mine, I took little help from anyone else in making his build. Also has one of the best pun names I've come up with, The Pink Bampfer. You can probably imagine what his basic costume looks like.

You've played the easily-rigged version of the game and won it all, so of course you feel jaded about the rest of it. This one power set, that one power, this single version of slotting it etc. and now literally everything else feels like just the absolute worst insulting trash. 😃 You' treated tweaking the numbers as the game... that way lies madness. Well, boredom anyway. Fun is available in this game in any number of fashions; you've now conquered one of the easier ones. Time to define another kind of fun for yourself! I can't come up with what would be fun for you, only you can do that.. but of course being a person online I have opinions and ideas and will share them with you whether you like it or not (I don't even like some of these, but you might): Make a new toon with only powers you want - skip all the usual prescribed zOMG power choices (unless of course you think they're fun). For example, you think laser beams from your eyes is fun? Take it, even though it's only single target and "only" does moderate damage. Or go for some weird "special trick" toon like a super tanky squishie, a melee with as many ranged attacks as possible, a toon that walks combat unseen... Get into PVP. Create the silliest costume you can. Build the coolest base you can. Give Inf to newbies in Atlas Park, or hold a costume contest or something to give it away. Create your own stories for the MA. Play lots of MA arcs (not farms). Skip all the mission teleport powers. Do some sight seeing. No more speed runs, stop and bash the flowers. Create an AT you've never played before, or take a power set you never have before, even if you know it's numbers are so incredibly awful and degrading based upon your past knowledge of "how to play." Maybe focus on controls and debuffs instead of damage dealing. Create a single-target character even!

Yeah, if you can figure out how to get that 50 to PI. Or how to slot Endurance. Or (etc.)

You misunderstand me then, let me try again: copyright law should last for 20 years then end, as was basically originally written. I never said all copyright law is bad, unless I typoed or left out a word? Where'd I say that? And please? "Puerile" here is still name-calling, it doesn't help your argument.

What tools did the companies lobby to have these laws written, where did you think these laws came from? And lookit you throwing around friendly terms like "puerile," ha ha

I'd like this too. I've been told you can reset this by turning off all your toggles and zoning (Ouroboros was a popular option) and then you can swap them out without more waiting, but the timer would still be a useful thing regardless.

Ooooh, great idea. Maybe we should run through them all here in a month, week of this, week of that, etc.

I've had to explain a lot of game stuff to many players who alreayd had a 50. Better to learn as you play not after you've played imho. Big believer in this: You can have fun at any level. You can rig the game later (which makes it too easy imho), but do play it first, at least a little bit.

Huh, neat! I went looking about and apparently he sort of is and sort of isn't, it depends on where in the world you are and what you intend to do with him. But yeah still - he premiered in the 1920s, he should be fully public domain by now.

I was just running around King's Row to get my Toy Collector badge last week (and yes, cleaning up any snow beasts I spawned, thank you very much), and too noticed how well placed and planned those Clockwork gremlins are.

I have used and abused and overused the pumpkinhead. I like the few spikier, messier looking hair options. I've used a lot of cat-heads and cat-ears looks. Shredded capes are boss. I like animal legs sometimes. Tails are fun, not too big on hats but hoods are nice. I also over-use the Banished Pantheon auras, still can't make the floating lanterns work well for me though, but I love the idea. I in general dislike how the game leans heavily into the super-power-armored look, like 70% of the options are some kind of wildly large power armor gloves or whatever, so I often don't go that rout. Same thing seems to apply to the array of goggles, I end up going with the same one or two usually. Love the idea of the brain-in-a-tank but just have not been able to make it work for me for some reason, like, ever. I don't like toons that look like Rob Liefeld bloated monsters.

A bit of side advice: keep hanging out in the forums, read up on whatever interested you across them, you should be able to pick up a lot of info by osmosis. Ask in-game too and the Help channel, there's always helpful folk around. Enjoy the game!
