Some sets benefit a lot, some don’t. That’s much more of a Set issue than the AoE mechanics issue. If something winds up seriously underperforming, it will get looked at, it’s just a matter of time.

The absolute worst was not being able to share completing missions. The 30s in Oranbega running the same mission 8 times was the stuff of nightmares.

Punchvoke (the original Name for Gauntlet and a rather stupid original name at that) was added in Issue 3, which is well before Brutes existed. That’s also when Taunt was turned into an AoE power, which allowed us to drop our dependence on Provoke. It’s more the other way around, with single-target gauntlet (punchvoke) being added to Brutes (I don’t remember if this in CoV beta, since that period was a Hurricane Katrina issue for me and my CoV beta participation came later as a consequence).

A situation that could be completely avoided if the very first non-stacking implementation was going live. Funny how that works out, eh?🤣

Once the changes hit, leave Fury generation like it is on live and I’m sure there will be plenty of them by this time next year.

Honestly, I see it less as a buff and more as a rebalance so that we don’t have to slough through 300-page “Brutes Suck!!!!!” threads by this time next year.

If all of these changes go live, you’ll likely be glad to have it. Pulling aggro from a Tanker is going to be less common, which is why the Brute Fury “buffs” are being added in the first place.

I have seven sets going into alts, so I have enjoyed this so far.
